About SocialBu

SocialBu is a social media management platform designed to help small businesses automate post scheduling, monitoring and publishing across channels. It allows teams to pre-schedule content on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google My Business accounts, save posts in drafts to revisit and configure separate teams for multiple brands.

Features of SocialBu include approval workflow management, custom queues, bulk import, preview functionality, tagging, keyword monitoring, collaboration and more. It offers a centralized inbox, which enables administrators to track and respond to comments, reviews and chats across various social accounts. Managers can utilize an analytics module to monitor brand performance on all channels, identify trending content, gain insights into individual posts and generate reports using graphs or charts.

Pricing is available on monthly and annual subscriptions. Support is extended via email, phone, live chat, community and knowledge base.

The Best Social Media Management Tool I Can Hope For

When I was looking for a new social media management tool after my old one raised its pricing to 3x my subscription, I tried ALL the social media management tools, trying to find one that will have the features I need at a reasonable cost. After a month of doing that, hands down, SocialBu surpassed them all. Their recycle feature alone makes them stand out from the rest and the number of accounts you can connect with their cheapest plan is more than what others are offering. In the beginning, there were features I needed that weren't there, but as I explained how these features impacted my word, they slowly implemented them in incremental upgrades! What business does that nowadays? They proactively ask for feedback and suggestions and listen to their customers' needs... and I believe that's crucial to the success of a business. It must know the different ways their customers are using their application. Very happy to be part of the SocialBu family and I highly recommend it. It's not just a tool but a partnership that listens and evolves with you.

SocialBu's automated posting feature is THE reason why I chose this social media management tool. With flexible options and the ability to recycle my posts and publish to all major social media platforms helps me be more efficient as a social media manager. Another is the top-notch support I receive from the team. They're there listening, but more importantly, they act on customer's suggestions and follows up to make sure I'm getting the features I need.
Cons:
SocialBu has addressed all my suggestions. It's perfect for me now.

Reasons for switching to SocialBu

eClincher changed the features in their subscription plans. Suddenly, the features I was paying for were no longer available unless I upgraded.

Simple. Straightforward. Solid.

Really enjoying the visual scheduler and calendar functionality, that's the greatest boon for the service. I've tried many of these tools in the past and SocialBu does seem to cut a lot of the extraneous chaff that you often get and just focus on the basics, which is very welcome.

Really enjoying using SocialBu after trying a huge number of similar tools in my time. The visual scheduler is especially valuable, along with the ability to add multiple profiles quickly and simply.
Cons:
I haven't stretched the tool to any great lengths, but I did have some issues in setting up Bluesky integrations. Some clearer tutorials would be helpful.

This Thing Does Not Work

An absolute waste of time and total frustration. You know it takes many hours for anything to come full circle to see if this type of a program works and when it does nothing...its the worst. The entire point of this thing is so you can go on your merry way and do your work. Instead you have constantly check. You have to constantly try to get any attention with customer servioce. OMG. Its a huge battle. When ironocally, its a job like watching automatic sprinklers and these people have not grasped the automated factor that should be the spirit of this app or platform. I wasted days trying to get this thing to work. Let alone in any consistent way. Its the worst false sense of security quite frankly to think something you pay fr actually does its job. Its crazy how people can sell this as non open siource product...this is a total WIP)

I liked the thought of it working. The concept is great if it worked. There was nothing good about it because nothing worked. The only thing I could like is their description on their web site but that is a bold faced lie considering nothing works.
Cons:
The cons are everything. There is no way, shape in you know what that any positive review here is real. If you tried to use this thing, you would laugh. It does not even come close to working. I have tried everything including trying it. Letting time go by after complaining over and over about how shotty it is. The thing barely saves. It barely posts anything let alone in any timely way. Its a crap shoot and you get so lucky if the thing posted.

If it worked, it would be fine. It supposadly should do what we need it to do and honestly, its on us now...we feel like battered spouses trying it...leaving for a few days with the hope something gets fixed...try it again...same outcome and lack of any result...leave for a few days..try it again feeling the same way...you know what they say about doing the same stupid thing over and over...This has made me crazy....I cannot believe there is an element that sells products that literally do NOT work. It blows my mind that is even a thing...

being able to provide a link for people to add their social media account, this has made it much easier to reconnect accounts.
Cons:
it is not easy to see which accounts did not post. It is not a friendly calendar. I also do not like that I can't add tags to my accounts.

We have found SocialBU to be very effective for posting to multiple social media accounts simultaneously. We sincerely appreciate their support for non-profits.
Cons:
The Teams/Accounts/Users is confusing to me. I feel like there should be a central place to add Accounts and Users then assign them to teams, rather than having all of them under "Teams". But maybe that's just me.

Cons:
Even though we can schedule Instagram stories, we don't have the options for the stickers + features, which is a bummer.

Socialbu have a really easy to use interface and pricing that allows you to get started really simply
Cons:
They are ramping up the analytics part of the tool. So they don't have the most robust reports yet but they are introducing new ones all the time

Reasons for choosing SocialBu

Price. Not that it's the most important for us, but we are growing our social efforts and we don't want to jump into $50-$100 a month costs to start

Streamlining management - a creators new bestfriend

I did a lot of researching for a high volume account / low cost scheduling option. One of my clients has 16+ accounts (they have lots of little soccer competitions), so we didnt need something with all the bells and whistles, just needed to be able to schedule couple posts a week coming into competition period, and as a startup / small business, something that didnt break the bank. It's been great and really happy to have found Socialbu.

SocialBu has been a game-changer for managing multiple business accounts. It makes switching between a high volume of profiles effortless, and the ability to plan content ahead saves me both time and stress. It’s simple to use, efficient, and delivers great value for money.
Cons:
I think there's still some development teething. It's a good platform, very simple and streamlined (which makes it good). Things like; - Introducing tagging to post; this makes reporting for partners, types of content, campaigns etc. easier. - Introducing schedule with notification; for stories, this allows content creators to schedule stories, receive a notification but be able to manually upload for things like (wanting to add polls, stickers etc) - Adding in 'calendar notes'; means you can put in miletstones (ie. fathers day etc) so that you know what days are coming up and dont forget

Value for money, made my workflow much faster and super easy to link all your relevant accounts. Scheduling posts is an ease and managing my social media accounts are nice as I can see feeds of any comments or messages on the app as well.
Cons:
When you create a team, in my case I added my clients, then the clients also receive marketing material because they had to register on the application to receive access to the team for content approvals and they had asked me numerous times why they were receiving these emails.
