MYLE is an excellent choice for an academic high volume family medicine clinic

Medfar has been an exceptional partner with us for the last 7 years. Their team is responsive to our needs and collaborates to improve the product. The aim has always been safe and effective EMR with attention to the user experience. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, Medfar adapted within 4 weeks to initiate integrated secure teleconferencing platform built into the EMR. Paired with the patient portal, MYLE allowed us to safely provide care from anywhere and protect our patients and our staff. I am certain we would not have been anywhere near as successful through the pandemic without MYLE.

Pros:

MYLE was the EMR chosen when we converted from paper charts. The team at Medfar prepared and assisted us every step of the way. The first demonstration I had with MYLE was their customer support and to this day it has still proven to be exceptional. The product is intuitive and users can be trained in a very short time (less than 2 hours) and are ready to go. Support for the end user through the support line and the online guides provide clear and accessible information to accomplish any operational tasks for any user from admin to clinical needs. The program has allowed us to provide safe patient care and teach and supervise residents and students with ease. The great power of MYLE is the integrated analytics module that has the power to leverage the data within the EMR to drive quality and research projects. What used to take months of individual chart audits can now be done in minutes. While there are complex queries that can be undertaken, many questions can be asked of the data with a minimal training and orientation to the data model.

Cons:

The feature I would hope to have would be access to customizable data forms to better track chronic disease management.

I particularly love how onboarding was stress-free as the tool is very user friendly and support was on hand to assist us with onboarding, it's also very comprehensive and has enabled us to be more organized and efficient.

It's exceptional for us in automated transmission of test results as well as making remote treatment easy to perform, the analytics also helps breakdown information perfectly.

Pros:

I find it's an extremely easy to use EMR, that has great functional features as a resident. It is very user friendly, and an efficient way to see patients and document. I am able to file lab results directly and efficiently as well. In addition it links to the DSQ our centralized record of results and labs in quebec which is a game changer.

Cons:

I wish we could import documents into notes more seamlessly. If there were a pdf to text function to help summarize reports, imaging etc that would make life so much more easy
