A simple platform but gets the job done

It's done the job for me nicely for many years. I'm used to working with the system and my contact point has always been helpful and responsive.

It's been easy to use and straightforward. I like how it manages my calendar and sends reminders to my clients

Cons:

My clients report having difficulty signing onto their portals. I haven't figured out a way to assign a form for them to fill out on their end. Also the interface is difficult when working with couples (only one member is the account holder and the other is the extra contact)

Reliable and Essential for My Practice Since 2019

As a licensed psychologist, I have been using CounSol.com consistently since 2019, and it has become an indispensable part of my practice. It manages everything I need in one place—client scheduling, billing, secure note-taking, and overall client management. The platform has been stable and reliable, which gives me peace of mind knowing that both my notes and billing are handled securely and efficiently. Value for Money: For the wide range of features provided, the cost is very fair. The seamless integration of billing and documentation saves me considerable time, which more than pays for itself. Customer Support: Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had a question. While I haven’t needed to contact them often due to the software’s dependability, the times I did reach out were handled professionally and quickly. My representative [sensitive content hidden] is awesome! Ease of Use: The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate. Initial setup was smooth, and even though it has many features, it never feels overwhelming. It is very intuitive for daily use.

What I like most about CounSol.com is its all-in-one functionality. Having billing, notes, and scheduling in a single secure platform has streamlined my practice and reduced the need for multiple tools. Cons:

There is very little to dislike. The system works flawlessly. I don't have any issues with the system. I am a happy and satisfied user.

Wonderful, timely attentive customer service puts CouSol above many others

Overall, the experience has been positive but I would like to see more features and updates for client and clinician experience. Reviewing the guide, making changes to my practice documentation, etc., takes a lot of dedicated time, which I don't always have. This is somewhat tedious and challenging for those of us who aren't versed in building all of the forms from scratch. I'm grateful for the built-in e-signature feature.

Pros:

I appreciate the LIVE customer support (WITH AN ACTUAL HUMAN) of my account manager, which has helped me easily navigate the platform when stuck. The account manager has been consistently readily available and responsive, and they're generally very patient and helpful. The user guide is also an excellent resource.

Cons:

I wish the platform had more offerings to enhance the client and provider experience, such as https://www.teleo.space/ or note designer. Partnerships like this would be ideal. I don't particularly like the treatment notes template; I would like one similar to Notedesigner, for example, with more options for the sentence completion and treatment modalities etc. I would also like to see mini-tutorials on using the platform most efficiently. Sometimes, I don't always have the time to look through my user guide. For example, if I want to send an announcement to certain clients but not all, how do I do that? I also wish I could include hyperlinks in my documents when sending to clients. In addition, having a 'schedule send' option for emailing clients and sending out pre-scheduled announcements about any of my practice changes or new services would be an excellent feature. Having my clients recieve notification of my social media or new posts from my website via CounSol is another missing feature that would enhance client engagement, retention and education too. The client view of the platform: While I appreciate how the colors are similar to my website, it looks dated and could use sharper, more updated, professional and modern visuals to enhance the client experience.

Cons:

CounSol can be a little tricky to navigate in the beginning and connect to insurance payers, but the support is great.

Good features for an excellent price

I have been with Counsol since I started in private practice. I looked at many programs and found Counsol to have the features I really wanted: Integrated billing, patient appointment reminders, cost and HIPPA compliance.

Cons:

I would really like to be able to dictate my notes directly into the program. I have been using an AI scribe and cutting and pasting.

CounSol.com is easy to use, at a great price point (my rate has been locked in since I started with the company in 2014. It has simplified my life to have so many of my private practice business systems in one place: intake paperwork, session notes, billing and payment processing, virtual sessions. I love that my clients can access their account independently to manage sessions, print billing statements, and send secure messages. In addition, the customer is FABULOUS! My dedicated person is [sensitive content hidden], who has been incredibly helpful over the many years I've used this platform. He responds quickly to any inquiries I might have, and his information and feedback is always helpful and actionable. I can't recommend CounSol.com enough!

Cons:

I am just starting to use the video platform, which seems good enough, but which does not feel as fancy or well packaged as other video platforms. It's functionality is definitely improved from when I first tested it about 5 years ago.

CounSol has made my job easier. The navigational features are easy to use. I have not had to use customer support at all the entire time that I have been using the platform due to how user friendly the platform is. The notes feature has everything readily available at the click of a button. It helps with time management. Also, the value that I get for the money is definitely worth sticking with it.

Cons:

I like everything about CounSol. It is user friendly and easy to navigate. The platform takes the "guess work" out of operating it.

I like the support person that I work with. [sensitive content hidden] is great and always available for help. I love that you work with the same person all the time. The price is reasonable and some of the features are nice. Completing claims are easy.

Cons:

CounSol's overall look is outdated and the client portal definitely could use a facelift. The aesthetics definitely could use an update.

Amazing system for amazing price.

I am one person in a private practice, I find that CounSol meets all my needs, satisfies my clients and is very easy to use. Other than needing to create some of my own unique intake forms, there is already so much available on the portal itself that is formatted better than I could have written myself. Super satisfied.

Cons:

I wish there was an app!!! I could imagine how some users might want a video component for virtual sessions, but I prefer zoom.
