I really like Vanco and they make it easy!

For the most part I have had a very positive experience with Vanco. Geared toward faith giving with great report outs and seamless uploading into our accounting software, I'm happy.

Pros:

I like the creation page for setting up funds. It's easy to use and it looks slick when it's all done. They also send us daily reports of transactions so you can check for errors like a declined card or similar. Their End of Month statement is great with a summary page and detail pages of all monthly transactions. I also like that they keep a watch on their tech and coming up with new ideas for how our church collects online donations, like a swipe reader and in video asks with their new "watch from home" feature.

Cons:

They have two portals, one for donor management and another for setting up your on-line payment pages. It is not seamless if you need to use both for a project or whatever. I would love if they would integrate the "Old Vanco" into the "New Vanco!" The last time I called customer service I wasn't super happy with the attitude of the rep and it turned out she only solved part of my issue.

Greater Flexibility and A Steady Income Stream

Vanco Faith has helped our church rely on regular contributions. The ease of use for givers to set up ongoing or even one time gifts means that our congregation has more steady streams of income and allows for greater flexibility for our folks.

Pros:

Vanco Faith is easy to use and very comprehensive. You can search and sort with ease; changing funds is simple across platforms.

Cons:

The initial onboarding takes a little bit of time. You have to become familiar with the terms that Vanco uses and how best to integrate it into your own system.

Pros:

It does what it's marketed to do! We were able to accept donations from all over the country, even outside the US. We could manage when and how often people gave. If we wanted to put an end date on someones giving, we could do it with ease!

Cons:

The problem is that Vanco would sometimes mess up automatic withdrawals. I don't know if it happens often in this business, but we had donors being double charged. They were able to fix it quickly though!

We are so glad we found Vanco!

Vanco was able to show us that our church and school could utilize online payments without costing monies we were trying to raise. Their fees are resonable and our donors are willing to consider the processing fee as part of their giving. Seriously our monthly fee for the company is pennies!!!

My favorite thing about Vanco is that I've never had an issue or a worry about our online giving since we began with the company! Their processes are logical, the system and reports are easy to follow, easy to adapt to my own bookkeeping system and very affordable!

Cons:

Vanco was not the first company we used for online giving so I can honestly say that, especially in comparison to the companies before them, we are very happy and I don't have a least favorite point with Vanco.

Online Donations Works Well

We started using Vanco in Jan of 2020 just before the height of covid which was a blessing. Being able to accept donations through debit/credit/ACH online has worked well with our church.

Pros:

Vanco syncs with the software that we use for donations and accounting (Church Windows) which make it easy to transfer into our accounting program. It was easy to set-up. Reports are easy to look up. Anytime I have had questions, customer service has been friendly and helpful.

Cons:

1. It can be expensive. The fees really add up. 2. The app does not work at all. Every church service several members would come and tell me the problems they had with the app. In theory, it's a great idea but a nightmare to work with.

Faith Lutheran vanco use

Have been with you about eight years and it certainly helped us maintain financial stability over the summer time especially. Anytime questions arose staff was always efficient add quick to answer my question or to help me correct a mistake. We continue to use you on a regular basis

Pros:

Schedule of processing requested transaction. Are parishioners appreciate the ability to make modifications to their giving very efficiently and effortlessly. As the coordinator of this I really appreciate that.

Cons:

Updating passwords is a hassle when it has to be done as frequently as you require it. But I do understand the need to maintain integrity of the files etcetera

Pros:

Vanco is easy to use. The weekly and monthly emails of deposits is very helpful in keeping our bookkeeping up to date. Customer service was very helpful when we contacted them.

Cons:

I wish more people would use Vanco for their donations to church. It is difficult to communicate to them the ease with which it can be used. I believe the age of members contributes to their reluctance to use Vanco. Also, I wish the email about the amount of the charges would come closer to when they will be charged.

Easier to use than you would expect

I expected that the online donation process would be nothing but a head ache for the administrator but it has been surprisingly easy.

As the administrator, I really like the immediate notification of donations. Everything I need to know is included in the reports!

Cons:

People who use this platform have reported to me that they have trouble going back into their account to make changes.

Great option

Overall, the system is easy to use and reliable. I receive an email once payments are set-up, processed or deleted which is convenient.

Pros:

It is easy to set up the different tiles for the different payments. I like being able to request the different reports directly from the system. Refunds are easy too.

Cons:

I would like the option to have the credit cards fees applied to the donor/payer payment and not an option for the payer. In some cases, the payer is not making a donation but making a payment ie: mission trip, tuition, etc.
