I really enjoy DaySmart Salon. I appreciate all the efforts that have gone into this program to make such a wonderful experience. I do think it takes a small bit to get adjusted to, but once you understand where everything is and how to do what you want it to do, you will have no issues or problems. I wouldn't consider switching at all. You definitely get what you pay for and more. Customer service is also very easy to get ahold of, which is a rarity these days.

Pros:
I really enjoy how easy and user friendly it is. The desktop version vs the app is also very comparable to each other. DaySmart also has all of the features I need for my daily scheduling, checking customers out, and its easy to keep my formulas and any client notes.
Cons:
I don't dislike anything in particular, I do just hate when the servers are down and you cannot access anything. I understand that its out of anyone's control, however. It's just more of a nuisance.

It was very outdated and not user friendly at all. There was no mobile app, making it hard for employees to access schedules/books outside of the work pos system.

Go with different software!

We loved using daysmart until about a year ago, the software started glitching out on us and changing ticket prices and inventory quantities, so we decided to cancel. After cancelling we didnt get all of our data we needed and the only way to retrieve it was to open the account back up. We were told once the account was reactivated we could pay for the lowest subscription at $60. That was a lie they charged our bank another $300 for the month just so we could get our data.

Software was easy to use, has a lot of features. We used daysmart for 5yrs.
Cons:
CUSTOMER SERVICE! We stopped using daysmart because of the customer service. They also do not have a way to track back bar usage (business use of products) and it would randomly change our inventory and tickets.

Very user friendly, scheduling appointments is super easy. You can adjust features that fit your needs. Love that we can pull up reports!
Cons:
If the internet is down and trying to processing a payment it doesn’t work. The Clover machine will not work without the internet. Also on the mobile app sometimes it doesn’t show if they confirmed or not

I love that they send out two forms of reminders. When you get busy it does the work for you. Also how it remembers prices that you change for certain clients.
Cons:
Honestly everything that I have had an issue with over the years has been addressed. So at some point you could cash out clients the same on the phone as the computer.

I have had Salon Iris since 2015 2020 I wanted to save some money. Lets just say that was short lived. I came back.

Easy to use and affordable

Overall I have found daysmart fantastic. I have never had trouble logging in no matter where I am. My appointments are easy to book and my clients love the reminder messages

It is really easy to use. I love the reminders that get sent out and that i can go through the reports to see how the business is growing
Cons:
That I dont get notification when someone cancels via txt and the appointment disappeared so I cant see who was booked there

i like that everything is in one place. my webiste, products, services, gift certificates, processing fees everything in 1 spot 1 simple payment. Day smart has changed my life for the better.
Cons:
i wish there was a spot that you could block out for clean up time. I know theres a spot for processing ad finnishing but thats more hair dresser lingo. I am an esthetician and i love to block off time to clean my room up between clients or have a break. this would help my business so much

Great, been using it for 9 years now. The salon I started at had it and when I went out on my own, I was able to transfer all the client information to my new account.

It is user friendly and all of my business is handled in the app from marketing, scheduling to inventory.
Cons:
Texting feature, when I click on it, I wish I could text through my phone and not the app. It would be more streamlined

Salon Iris just needs a way to transfer and transition companies that want to switch and not just start up, but they have a 5 gold star product on their hands here.

I loved that this was a totally, completely, 110%, didn't leave anything out, comprehensive plus the kitchen sink software system for running any small business. It covered emails, advertising, websites, payments, scheduling and booking, literally not a stone unturned. This made the process of starting a fledgling company absolute as cohesive and efficient as possible in a rather visually capturing way.
Cons:
We ended up not choosing them to use though because of the comprehensiveness and total coverage because it would have been too difficult to integrate their entire system in with the system/s already being used because some had been purchased already and the clinic was already up some running. If we could have switched all our existing data and moved it in to their new system during its initiation, it would have been chosen hands down.
