Alora Home Health Software is worth the price

5

Using Alora Home Health has really transformed how our agency runs. It’s not just software, it’s become the backbone of our daily operations. Tasks that used to take hours, like reconciling visits and managing documentation, are now much faster and more accurate. The visibility it gives into staff productivity and patient care has made decision-making easier and more strategic. Overall, it’s helped us run a smoother, more efficient agency while keeping both our team and our patients happier.

Pros:
What I like most about Alora Home Health is that it keeps everything in one place. Scheduling, clinical documentation, and billing all work together seamlessly, which makes managing our agency much easier. It’s intuitive to use, reduces paperwork, helps ensure compliance, and the support team is responsive whenever we need help. Overall, it really streamlines daily operations and saves time.
Cons:
What I like least about Alora Home Health is that some tasks take extra clicks, and certain reports or customizations are a bit limited. The interface can feel a little dated. These are minor issues, but improving them would make the overall experience even smoother.

Reasons for switching to Alora Home Health

Not getting value for money, especially with EVV.

Pros:
Alora Home Health is extremely user friendly. In this industry every moving part may need to be done in multiple ways. Alora does a wonderful job at coming up with solutions to these challenges.
Cons:
While posting remittances we are unable to apply the payments to individual line items (dates of service). You can only post to the general invoice/claim. There is a comment line, but it does not allow enough space to give needed detail. This makes it harder to complete claim follow up.

Reasons for switching to Alora Home Health

Our agency was loosing too much money. Careficient could never get us running smoothly.

Why alora?

5

My overall experience with Alora Home Health has been positive. The system effectively streamlines both clinical and administrative workflows, making it easier to manage patient care, documentation, scheduling, and billing all in one platform. I particularly appreciate the mobile and offline charting capabilities for field clinicians and the quality assurance tools that help maintain compliance and accurate documentation. While there is a learning curve and some areas—like reporting, form customization, and certain billing workflows—could be more intuitive, the benefits in efficiency, integration, and oversight outweigh the challenges. Overall, Alora has been a reliable and valuable tool for supporting our home health operations.

Pros:
What I liked most about Alora Home Health is its all-in-one platform that streamlines both clinical and administrative workflows. The integration of OASIS assessments, visit documentation, EVV, scheduling, and billing in a single system significantly reduces the need for multiple tools and improves efficiency. I also appreciate the mobile and offline charting capabilities, which make it easier for clinicians in the field to document accurately and in real time. Additionally, the quality assurance and compliance features, such as the OASIS analyzer and pre-billing QA checks, help ensure accurate documentation and reduce errors before they impact reimbursement. Overall, the system makes managing home health operations more organized, compliant, and user-friendly.
Cons:
What I liked least about Alora Home Health is that some areas of the system can feel clunky or unintuitive, particularly when navigating between multiple tabs or modules. The learning curve for new users can be steep, especially for clinicians who are primarily focused on patient care. Additionally, while the system offers robust functionality, certain features—like form customization, alerts, and advanced reporting—could be more flexible or easier to configure. Finally, the billing and A/R workflows can be somewhat complex, requiring extra attention to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Reasons for switching to Alora Home Health

Since we previously used Waystar and then transitioned to Alora, it’s clear that our agency values integration and simplicity across both clinical and administrative operations. At this point, unless we see a significant increase in denial rates or inefficiencies in revenue cycle management, continuing with Alora remains the most practical approach. That said, if financial performance—such as denials or payer complexity—becomes a greater strategic concern, it may be worth exploring a hybrid solution or considering a transition to a more advanced EHR like MatrixCare, provided the ROI justifies the change.

Amazing Overall

5

We have relied on them since our company was founded. I want to emphasize how user-friendly the software is for both clinicians and administrators. It offers a wide range of features that are straightforward to use, without requiring you to adopt unnecessary measures or tracking options you don't need. Many tracking options and features can be enabled or disabled, allowing you to customize the system to fit your agency's and individual clinicians' requirements. The help desk and support team stand out for their exceptional friendliness and expertise. They have training videos which I use to orient staff initially to the software. The on boarding for each new feature is extremely thorough and not rushed. I cannot say enough about my satisfaction.

Pros:
Alora is our electronic medical records software for our home health care agency. It has ease of tracking items such as signatures and staff credentials to stay up to date and compliant with CMS requirements. It has e-fax abilities to send documents needing signatures to physicians. It has easy oasis uploading and billing abilities and tracking. It takes care of our EVV requirements.Alora has been an ideal software, meeting all the needs of our home health care agency.
Cons:
I like it all overall but if you want something that is flashy, alora isn't it. At the beginning it left a lot to want for PT/OT documentation but they are continually taking feedback and making improvements.

Reasons for choosing Alora Home Health

Easier to use, better price, better on boarding.

Pros:
The ease of use, the software is pretty easy to navigate around. You can pretty much figure it out without extensive training.
Cons:
Lack of communication within software. If you change a primary diagnosis on the oasis and forget to update it on the admission screen it will stop you from sending NOA's out. This information should auto populate and communicate together.

New to Alora Software

The program is user-friendly and is easy to use, if you don't overthink it. There are a lot of good features and has the potential to be a great, competitive software, if the company is willing to change/add more features to enhance what the program already has and does on both the clinical and billing spectrums.

Pros:
The program is easy to use and comprehend. Our company had no training with the implementation of the software, but we have been able to navigate most of it on our own and assist our staff with being proficient as well.
Cons:
There are several areas that are a hard stop unless certain information has been entered and will potentially need to be changed later, which causes extra steps for the clinician, as well as anyone auditing the charts.

Reasons for switching to Alora Home Health

Our owner felt this was a better fit for our company.

Seamless Switch to Excellence: Alora Delivers on Every Promise

Everything Alora promised about migrating to their platform has proven 100% accurate—no hype, just results. Their team has been phenomenal throughout the transition, exceeding expectations at every turn and providing hands-on support that made the process seamless. We're blown away by their unparalleled customer service and couldn't be happier with our decision to switch. Alora isn't just a software provider; they're a genuine partner in success!

Pros:
Our previous software, Cashe, stopped providing updates, prompting us to transition our clients to Alora. While we've encountered a few minor issues—mostly user errors—Alora's support has been exceptional. Their direct line connects immediately, with no hold times or voicemails, which was a refreshing change from the poor service we experienced with our old provider. [sensitive content hidden] stands out for her extraordinary knowledge of the Alora Home Health platform. When I called seeking help with OASIS submissions to the iQIES system, she addressed it immediately that same day—no "we can set up a time later" delays. She pinpointed exactly what needed to be fixed and resolved the issues in real time. Using screen sharing during an in-person session, she walked us through each step with remarkable patience, going above and beyond to ensure everything was handled correctly. We're ecstatic to have found a true partner in Alora, one that supports fast, accurate accounting and truly cares about helping us serve our clients. Highly recommended!
Cons:
None whatsoever! We've had zero issues—Alora has exceeded expectations in every way. They have exceeded our expectations in every aspect.

You can adjust paperwork and time easily. They are available easily during initial sign-up and training, but difficult to catch when you really need them.
Cons:
Billing department experience is horrible. They see a diiference census from what you actually have and charge you higher than they are supposed to. Customer service will say someone will call you, but you'll hardly get a call back. The customer is never right from their perspective, rather their metric is. Your patient data automatically disappears/ inactivate in their software.
