Spot helps us focus on the cleaning

Spot has been around for a long time and is a great tool that has withstood the test of time. The software could be better if there was more access to the data for the power users as it is a great POS solution but does not allow an owner or marketer to obtain the necessary data in a format that is easy to use to perform other business roles.

Pros:

Spot is a very feature rich and customizable software application for the Dry Clean / Laundry industry. Spot allows us to set the software and process to our unique needs and desires; down to the store level. [sensitive content hidden] and the rest of the support team is always there to help you find the setting your are looking for. They also have an Ask the Expert sessions where you can ask best practice questions or the 'I want to do this [fill in the blank] how do I do that?"

Cons:

The downside to spot being so customizable is that sometimes the settings are difficult to locate. Spot has been around for so long that some of the features or reports are older and could use a refresh or update to reflect new demands. There are also custom reports or sets of information that are difficult to obtain with the built-in reports and searches.

It is user friendly Support is incredible and follow through is great!!

The cost of add ons are a little high

Square was good for start up, but Spot takes me so i can dream of what direction I want to go. They can go there with me.

The SPOT software is very easy to learn and very self explanatory, the way it is set up to use is very simple.

Cons:

I feel as if the software could have used some shaping. It would have been easier to be able to type the items I was trying to find vs clicking through categories.

To help change things

Tech support is excellent . Without that it would not work. Spot change things with not explanation about the changes. We are expected to figure it out.

Cons:

Reports to run a business are either not there, or it take a number of report to make a report that give you info. Compare year to year does not existing. Many thing make no sense why they work the way they do. There are many thing in Spot that need to by update.& at to
