About Flex Databases platform

Flex Databases provides software for businesses in the life science industry to manage trials, documents, quality, and people. The system includes CTMS Software, eTMF, document management system, project management, budgeting, pharmacovigilance software, quality management, and learning management systems.

It offers a platform which allows combining traditional features related to management of clinical trials with the functionality for running internal pharma companies and CRO processes as well as a capability to manage financial data, invoicing and expenses. All modules developed by Flex Databases are validated and compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and ICH GCP, and other global regulations.

Pros:

The functions are complete, and they keep pushing to upgrade it. It's a good tool at a reasonable price.

Cons:

You need to select the module first, then the project, e.g., TMF > XXXproject. Personally, I prefer XXXProject > TMF/CRAAM.

Worth to consider for small and middle CRO

It is good for most of the module, need more improvement and bug fix for PMB module.

Cons:

Budget & cost management have many bugs and have not approached the real usage cases.

Overall, the customer service is great and whenever I reached out for any assistance, the issues were resolved quickly.

Pros:

The TMF has all the folders pre-populated and the uploading/downloading/deleting functions are very quick and efficient.

Cons:

The documents cannot be copied from one site to another within the study. Also, the adding users part is not that user friendly.

A Pleasure to Work With the Flex Databases Team – Highly Recommended

Over the past months I’ve been using Flex Databases, mainly the CRA Activity Management module, and it has made my daily work much more structured and transparent.

Pros:

The system is intuitive, easy to navigate, and logically organized, so it doesn’t take long to feel comfortable working in it—even with more complex workflows. What I appreciate most is the combination of a user-friendly interface and very supportive, professional management and customer success team. The communication with the Flex team has always been friendly, timely, and solution-oriented. Whenever questions or technical issues came up, they were addressed quickly and with genuine willingness to help. Overall, Flex provides a clean, easy-to-orient environment that supports efficient monitoring, documentation, and oversight of clinical activities. I would definitely recommend it to teams looking for a structured yet intuitive system, backed by a helpful and engaged support/management team.

Cons:

The overall structure and workflow logic of this system is somewhat different from other platforms I’ve worked with before, so it requires a brief period of adjustment.

Great start with FDB!

We’ve been using Flex Databases for the past couple of months, and the experience so far has been outstanding. The platform itself is intuitive & reliable What really stands out, though, is the quality of support we’ve received—especially from [sensitive content hidden], project manager at FDB. He has been consistently responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through any questions we’ve had. It’s rare to come across customer support that’s this dedicated and proactive. Overall, we’re very happy with Flex Databases and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-supported, efficient solution.

What I liked the most was the amazing support. The team has been always responsive, helpful, and made the whole experience with Flex Databases smooth and enjoyable

Cons:

There’s not much to dislike, but if anything, I’d say there’s a small learning curve at the beginning. However, the great support team—especially [sensitive content hidden]—making it easy to overcome.

1) Convenient navigation 2) Clear structure 3) Good technical support 4) Many options in CRAAM and Investigator Site modules which can be used

Cons:

1) Some functions needed are unavailable in the system 2) Access rights in TMF are assigned in a non-compliant way 3) Some specific features are not completely convenient (like TMF workflow) 4) TMF Quality Review section is not easy to use

Since we have been using the LMS module, it has been much easier for us to maintain an overview and thus ensure training compliance. The system offers a wide range of options and is fun to work with.

Flex Databases System Review

Our team uses some basic Flex modules to set up internal projects (e.g. CLinical Study TMF etc.). The System works smoothly and it is easy for everyone to operate!

Pros:

modular based setup allows for customized setup depending on project or organization. Quick and rather simple

Cons:

There are still some things that we must rely on the helpdesk to do even though we are in different time zones. For example: 1. User account creation timing because of the LMS assigning training when accounts are created. 2. LMS administrator. I can set all other admins but this one is out of control of the Sys Admin.
