About CertHat

CertHat is a solution for managing and monitoring digital certificates in Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) environments. The product is designed to help PKI managers and other professionals working with digital certificates become more efficient and productive in their daily operations.

CertHat offers a range of core functionalities for effective PKI management. These include alerting users when certificates are about to expire, providing a full view of all certificates within the organization, enabling search and filter options to find specific certificates, allowing certificate import, and creating expiry email notifications for groups of certificates. The product helps minimize the risk of business downtime or system outages due to invalid or expired digital certificates, ensuring the reliability and security of the PKI infrastructure.

CertHat is available in two versions. The CertHat Essentials is a free basic version that provides the core certificate management capabilities. The full licensed version includes additional advanced features.

    CertHat-Excellent Tool for Microsoft PKI

    Overall experience is very good, simple and useful web based tools, just what you need to control and manage AD CS components and keeping the track of certificates ( external certificates also ! ) from your PKI.

    Fast and simple integration into your MS AD CS environment and overall managing of AD CS issuing servers.
    Cons:
    Actually there are no major cons, good support and fast reaction for some minor bugs.

    We are very satisfied because CertHat made our certificate management process a lot easier task. Also the support is open to suggestions about functionalities that we think would be useful.

    Centralized management (issuing, revoking, monitoring) of all the certificates issued by MSCA issuing servers (we use three). Import of the certificates that are not issued by our CA so their life cycle can also be monitored from the same console. Possibility of defining groups for certificate life cycle monitoring (and alerting) depending on the organization structure (by certificate template or tag).
    Cons:
    One thing that would make the template setting more visible is the possibility to view template Key usage and Extended key usage directly from CertHat. Hope that wwe will see it in the next update.
