Overall observiq has been great to work with and implement. It filled a need that I had to get monitoring up and running quickly on my linux server. Set up was easy and support was excellent.

9/10 - some mildly annoying UI issues, but otherwise very solid product, and much better than the alternatives i have used.

However, there are still several areas that need improvement, especially around filtering accuracy, agent visibility, access control, and logging details. While the core functionality works well and the UI helps reduce operational friction, additional refinements and feature enhancements would significantly improve usability, reliability, and administrative efficiency in production environments.

BindPlane provides a much-needed 'easy button' for OpenTelemetry at scale. It effectively removes the headache of manual YAML configuration by providing a centralized, visual control plane for fleet management. The platform has been a game-changer for reducing our observability costs through smart filtering at the edge, making it simple to manage thousands of collectors without the typical operational overhead. It’s a powerful bridge between complex raw telemetry and actionable data.

It's very fun to enjoy the process building bindplane and integrate it to the other platform. I didn't try it out for the splunk cause it need to be spend some money. But using google secops with bindplane are so fun.

Overall good, the application works well but there are a few kinks and hiccups. I work for an MSSP primarily so the difficult part is explaining it to clients and giving them confidence to use it. Maybe even an info box explaining how much Bindplane's compression reduced ingestion by can calm some skeptics.
