On of the best traffic microsimulation tools

I've been using Vissim over 20 years and it is continually one of the best tools for realistic modeling of traffic flows.

Cons:

Complexity. Novice users could get lost in many options that the software offers. Initial learning investment is needed for new users to catch up with software capabilities.

Cons:

While PTV Vissim is a powerful tool, one limitation I’ve encountered relates to network modeling capabilities. My current license does not include the Dynamic Assignment feature, which restricts me to static modeling only. This limits the ability to simulate more realistic route choice behavior based on traffic conditions. Although this is specific to my license, it highlights how certain advanced functionalities are only available in higher-tier versions. For highway operators and traffic engineers seeking deeper behavioral analysis, access to dynamic features would significantly enhance decision-making. Despite this, the tool remains highly valuable for many traffic engineering applications.

Cons:
