Pros:
Generally easy setup, though the effort was more on getting my team to adopt the platform. So that's more on us than Copper.
Cons:
Inability to ingest UTM tracking parameters natively. We had to use a 3rd party tool in order to connect the attribution dots.

Reasons for choosing Copper

Better value. More native integrations. Cleaner interface.

Vendor Response

Thanks for the feedback. We’ve added attribution and UTM tracking to our product request process, and we will explore ways to make tracking easier. Appreciate you helping us improve!

Pros:
Copper has made managing my insurance sales pipelines an absolute dream! It's integrations with Google workspace streamlines every aspect of the sales process and has even streamlined our servicing and policy renewal process. Coppers interface is polished and very user friendly.
Cons:
I wish I had more control over automatons, this isn't as much as a dislike than it is a wish I had. Copper is constantly developing so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before more customization comes to their automatons.

Reasons for choosing Copper

Google Workspace integration. We run on Google, from Chromebooks, to androids and everything in between.

Vendor Response

Hi Paul, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We love to hear that Copper has helped you streamline your process, better capture your operations and grow your business. We appreciate the feedback on automations and I'll share it with the team. We're continuously looking for ways to improve our features, and we may reach out to you in the future for product feedback! Pros:
Still easy to use, although with the necessary improvements it is starting to get complex. But I say that they are in the right balance between increasing functionality and ease of use of the software. frequent updates make the system more complete whether it's desktop or Android application.
Cons:
Help library is not sufficient to solve or explain common questions. Projects feature could be more useful in order to helping to handle won or loose opportunities. And Projects not all integrated with the rest of functions. I don't know why. AI not arrived at Cooper too.

Excellent CRM with tremendous features without the over-engineering

5

Copper has been a great solution for our smaller company (13 FT employees). We can track notes on our clients, organize new inquiries for our services, and increase communication between team members as a result. We use Google Workspace, and the integration has been seamless, especially regarding our calendar sync. The connection to everyone's email is a huge time-saver, and it's extremely helpful to review something in my inbox and have their Copper profile pop up on the screen.

Cons:
Email Templates could be easier to use and more robust

Reasons for switching to Copper

Our start-up outgrew the previous product, and we were seeking a more robust, easy-to-use CRM without the over-engineering that often comes from other systems (e.g., Salesforce)

simple UI, good integration market for automating related tools
Cons:
simple UI is also clunky and at times nonfunctional the gmail extension breaks some basic gmail functionality which I reported probably 2 years ago at this point, with no resolution the customer service is slower than before and literally no one wants to talk to a bot the reporting tools are rudimentary, and i follow a concise 26-step process using the Copper API to extract customer emails when breaking down by certain criteria... not exactly user-friendly

Copper is so much better vs other CRMs: better UI, controls, and pricing!

Pros:
- Great UI -- faster, easier, and better real estate - Great pricing for the small business owners - Propagate info when converting leads to clients - Ability to add custom fields (Very important for our industry!) - Ease of creating automation of tasks, emails, and workflow - Tasks are integrated into our calendar enforcing front-of-mind & completion - Control access by teams and individuals (critical for our contract basis model) - Create webforms/widget to generate Leads directly onto the system. (But must have your own website)
Cons:
- Does not allow you to create custom reports without higher package - Does not have ability to see if client has opened the email. It only log emails related to the contact. - Does not have built-in mass email and tracking

Reasons for choosing Copper

Pricing. Lack of personal control of new custom data fields.

Reasons for switching to Copper

Faster and better user interface than Hubspot. Hubspot has nice features but the daily update of the data was grueling. Furthermore, the real estate usage was much better in Copper -- we can see more info on the screen.

Basic CRM, looking for automated workflows, look elsewhere!

2

Copper is our CRM and is only used for our sales team. Our products are a mobile app and website that generate leads that go into Copper in which our sales team is able to qualify and view all communication with prospects and move them along the appropriate pipeline. One of the main problems that Copper solves for us is integrating with Slack and their mobile app to update us real-time of new leads. Also, a nice feature of Copper is their integration with G Suite (since Copper is a Google Product), that keeps track of all communication with each prospect. From a more technical perspective, Copper has a quite robust API that allows us to connect our mobile app attribution platform, Slack, PostgresSQL, and chatbot Intercom.

Pros:
One of the main benefits of Copper is real-time reports. We are able to breakdown won and lost revenue amongst our sales team and also account for projected sales revenue based on the opportunities in the pipeline and the expected close rate of those opportunities. Copper has automated actions that allow us to move prospects through pipelines effectively. We set automated reminders and tasks for opportunities based on their pipeline and stage within the pipeline. These reminders and tasks are also emailed and sent as a push notification to each respective lead owner.Copper has automated actions that allow us to move prospects through pipelines effectively. We set automated reminders and tasks for opportunities based on their pipeline and stage within the pipeline. These reminders and tasks are also emailed and sent as a push notification to each respective lead owner. We are a big fan of the Copper newsletters. They provide a clear roadmap of what to expect from them from a product development standpoint and what to expect next. Their emails are easy to digest, and optimized for mobile. Also, they ask for user input that has been integrated into their roadmap.
Cons:
While Copper has a quite robust API, they do not have any webhook receiver URLs. In order to effectively communicate data between Copper and another platform is through a paid Zapier account or Tray.io. Automated actions are nice, but the work flow automations are extremely limited. We are not able to send users automated emails, push notifications when they enter a new stage of a pipeline. More direct integrations with messaging services - transactional + marketing email services, push notification platforms, chat services.

Reasons for choosing Copper

I didn't have much authorization in the selection of Copper, however, I have looked into switching costs and leaving Copper due to their limited workflow automations. Hubspot and Salesforce look more robust and integrated with our other marketing tools. We are too sunk in with Copper into Slack, our backend, and current sales process to switch over and learn again. As a result, we have decided to stick with Copper and wait anxiously for their new product updates.
