It makes payroll a breeze by tracking hours automatically. The automated reports are super helpful for seeing where the day goes and keeping projects on budget.
Cons:
The activity percentages and screenshots feel invasive and sometimes can be too much for your team to bear.

Overall, it was a good tool to manage tasks and track team members work around. Amongst other time tracking tool, if you have budget, go over this one.

Pros:
We get the moneys worth in functions available comparable to other time tracker. HubStaff can be modified on how long the admin wishes to make screenshots on the work space. The app is user friendly. Navigation wise it's not that difficult to understand the statistics of team, whether on what website they spend most of their time.
Cons:
Sometimes, productivity is not properly accurate. It differs, sometimes in the number of times we move from one tab to the other or one screen to the other.

Reasons for switching to Hubstaff

Costing. The company needed to shift from a more affordable and budget friendly app.

Go with the alternative!

The software is easy to use, the reporting is not that good. For ex. "Lookup project, see time billed" does not exist. How can a time tracking software not have a simple report showing me all the time billed to one project and by who? They constantly tell you all these convoluted steps to figure it out and they expect you to spend 10 minutes everytime you want the info. Now imagine it's the end of the month and you want to bill all your clients for time spent... Hubstaff makes it worse actually.

It accurately does additions of time and tells me who recorded what so I know what to pay. That's about it.
Cons:
Customer support is terribly bad. Used them 8, 9x for different things, and it was always terrible. They provide phone support if they consider you a VIP customer who spends a certain amount with them. Otherwise support is through email and their virtual-online agent which is absolutely asinine. The email agents which are ostensibly humans seem to just send you FAQ links.

The app helps me know who in my organization is working and what they spend their time working on. How would you trust people working from home to work when expected to work?
Cons:
Some of the features I need I must pay for extra adding which adds to the total cost. The idle time should automatically never count as part of tracked time- sometimes it does!

I really like the application—it’s user-friendly, and makes it easy to store client details and manage tasks efficiently through its CRM features. The interface is intuitive, and navigating between different client profiles and records is seamless. Additionally, the integration with Hubstaff is a great feature. It allows for accurate time tracking, productivity monitoring, and provides valuable insights through detailed reports. This helps in managing teams and tasks more effectively, especially for remote or hybrid work environments. Overall, it's a solid tool for both client relationship management and team productivity tracking.
Cons:
One thing I find a bit inconvenient is the requirement to create a project separately after adding a client. For me, this feels a bit unintuitive. Ideally, the option to create a project should either be integrated into the client setup flow or prompted immediately after the client is added. It would streamline the process and save time, especially when onboarding multiple clients in a short period. A more seamless workflow between client creation and project setup would definitely enhance the overall user experience.

Pros:
I like the layout of the platform, and the reporting it offers. It is easy to navigate and support has helped me learn functions and show what we have not utilized, to make more of the platform. Very helpful!
Cons:
Some of the functionality with the time syncing entries. I wish there was a way to allow members to edit after an entry is completed, or the next day after it locks, and be able to pick and choose who those people are. Just to have more customizable options!

Reasons for choosing Hubstaff

We did not find something set up the way this platform is set up, we did look at Asana and Microsoft options.

We can organize the team x projects and have projects timesheet. Love it! Checking the project hours is gold!
Cons:
I would like to have a place to add the last day for the employee use hours for a project. Like this, we have a deadline set up, and don't worry about checking it.
