Greatly simplifies time tracking

My overall experience has been excellent. Customer service is particularly impressive: highly responsive and extremely helpful.

Pros:

timeBro makes time tracking much simpler. Rather than needing to remember to manually shift between activities, it magically tracks precisely what you have been doing when. That means no risk of forgetting activity.

Cons:

The analytics screen has somewhat less attractive design than the previous software I used. But this is a minor and insignificant gripe.It can be time consuming to shift activity from memory aid/calendar to time entry. But ultimately I believe it's better to spend time on this than on trying to remember what I did when. It's important to get into the habit of completing time entries at the end of each day.

Reasons for switching to Memtime

I work on multiple projects, and multiple aspects of different projects, in any one day. Remembering to let my time tracking software know that I'd shifted between these was becoming extremely difficult, and it meant that my time tracking was becoming both stressful and inaccurate. TimeBro has entirely solved that issue – and helped me learn which websites I'm wasting most time on!

timeBro pays for itself almost instantly

It makes time tracking much easier. I can't overstate how much I hate time tracking, but with timeBro, it's not even an inconvenience.

Its automatic tracking and "Memory Aid" features ensure I don't forget billable time. One hour covered my yearly expense for this software, and it's helped me remember much more than that.

Cons:

The _only_ thing I really wish timeBro had was the ability to search for items in the Memory Aid. I asked the live support on their website, and they noted that the feature will be available in an upcoming version. Otherwise, I can't think of a single missing feature. I _did_ occasionally have to resync with my Zoho Books account for whatever reason, but it's not difficult or time consuming, and there was no information lost along the way.

Reasons for choosing Memtime

The Memory Aid feature sold me, and the integrations kept me.

Poor customer service

I would not recommend Memtime and I am now using completely free autotracking software. I am sure the lack of syncing across devices will also be a problem for lots of customers.

Pros:

The auto tracking saved me time but that's really the only pro if you are on the lowest plan. Integrations are extra.

Cons:

It wasn't easy to decipher what info you were downloading in reports. Memtime also does not sync across multiple devices. The customer service was shocking. I was not aware that when my subscription ended I would no longer have access to the data I had on the app which seems ridiculous as I was paying every month for it so surely the data belongs to me.

The only time tracker I consistently use

I am constantly flipping back and forth between tasks for different clients. No way can I remember to always stop and start my timer. I LOOOOVE the detailed activity shown on the calendar and how easy it is to adjust my daily report to bill the right clients with the detail they want. Can send it straight to Harvest

Unfortunately, TimeBro doesn't read my mind, so when I work on client projects while away from the computer, I still have to go back in to enter the time I spent offline.

Finally - Tracking my actual hours

Finally a tool that deletes the guesswork and assists you (and actually helps) with time tracking. My billable hours went up plus I was able to analyze my habits, cut back on certain tasks and I no longer have to guess how much time a task actually cost me.

I purchased timeBro because I kept forgetting to log my hours. At the end of the week I was guessing more than actually knowing how much hours I put in every project/client. I was actually suprised (not in a pleasant way) how much some tasks took to complete. Using the statistics to analyze my time, I have managed to make adjustments and cut time in my ways of working. So much insight since using timeBro & no guesswork is no longer needed!

Cons:

I would love to have the choice to change something to the memory aid. It shows the total amount of time and then the percentages of the specific tasks. I would prefer the actual time tracking instead of %. So that I can log the actual time per task instead of needing to figure this out myself.

Reasons for switching to Memtime

Because with Toggle I still had to make sure that when I switched tasks and therefore projects, I had to manually log my time. timeBro assists me with this by logging any activity. Therefore it is much easier to log hours based on projects.

I didn't realize how often I under-billed clients

timeBro is literally download & go. It's easy to use, inexpensive, and an invaluable investment. I've tried different manual methods to track my billable hours and my inconsistency cost me money. The digital methods either still required me to open the software to start and end for the different categories I track, or were too costly.

timeBro's automatic tracking works in the background and I can determine how I want this feature to bundle my time (I use 10-minute chunks). I appreciate the flexibility of creating my own categories based on whether a client hires me for technical writing or to manage their proposal development.

Cons:

I wish there less click-throughs to categorize my time bundles.

NO RENEWAL REMINDERS

I would not use this product again due to their unethical business practices. Also, the product is a bit clunky and does not allow an easy way to organize and manage products/clients/task. It is very manual and lacks setup copy or duplication features that could save time when on-boarding new clients

It tracks your computer activity and makes generating a timesheet much easier

Cons:

Their business practices. They don't send a reminder about your renewal. Instead you get a receipt on your renewal date after they charge your card. When you call that same day to cancel, they refuse to refund your subscription. I was charged for a year of product that I no longer need.

The software sort of worked. I was using it daily, but quickly stopped using it.

Cons:

Memtime raised its prices and charged me for a 2-year renewal without notice. I contacted them immediately, the next day, as soon as I saw the charge on my card, and asked them to refund the money. They refused and said they would be keeping my money, even though I don't use the product. I consider that unethical. It makes we wonder if they are close to going out of business. Why would a company that is doing well be so desperate to grab someone's $500?

Memtime - Good for recording activities

I started using memtime when I was struggling to keep up with my work but thought that I had enough time to get it done. It really does a great job tracking my electronic work activities, down to the minute. It gives a nice graphical representation of a timeline representing my day, which includes icons for each of the programs I was using. When step away from my desk for more than a few minutes or if someone is in my office, memtime will ask me whether I want to record offline time, which is great for meetings and whatnot. Overall I like it. It's a lot of data and that's what I was looking for.

Makes it easy to determine what I did all day. It's eye-opening to see just how much time I can spend on a single activity.

Cons:

It seems to be geared more toward users who are billing customers for their time, and since I don't do that, there's a functionality mismatch with regard to those features. It still works great for me.

DEBT COLECTING IS THEIR CORE BUSINESS

BAD as it all seams as a business model - get people to forget about the subscription and just charge them, or send debt collectors after them (if you are lucky and were not charged because crew cared expired).

Looked promising but anything but in the end. And honestly still too much to sort by hand in the end for it to make it show true results.

Cons:

Crooks who do not warn about renewal. Even if they see you abandoned the app months ago and never used it - they do not care and charge.
