About Kahoot!

Kahoot! is a learning management system (LMS), which helps schools and higher education institutions create games, interact with students via online sessions, streamline remote learning processes and track class progress via formative assessments. Professionals can share reports with teachers or administrators and use quizzes or puzzles to improve class engagement.

Kahoot! allows organizations to host live games with various question types such as multiple-choice, true/false, images or short answers. Supervisors can gain visibility into the number of players or questions, view students' performance and generate reports in real-time to identify difficult questions. Additionally, higher education institutions can engage with students via video conferences and review learning content to manage exam preparation.

Kahoot! enables schools to request students' feedback via polls during games and adjust sessions' time according to requirements. A useful and fun tool that's easy for everyone to use!

Loved making quizzes and games for my martial arts kids during covid, and for team building events at camps and even at work.

Pros:

A great way to bring people together, young and old. It's easy to use. It's free. There's so many custom options to make it engaging. It's good for educational purposes, such as tests and exams. Never had a use for customer support. My online students loved to do questions and answer quizzes and games. It made learning fun. It makes competition fun with the leaderboard.

Cons:

I honestly can't think of anything to make kahoot better. I suppose the interface on the website looks slightly dated or cluttered but that's mostly my preference.

A five star experience with Kahoot, quite impressing.

I haven't found anything that could make me hate this software. I am quite impressed with it's working . Kudos Kahoot.

Pros:

Kahoot is really interesting play and learn at the same time. It's super easy to use and very helpful. The fact that students can relax a minute during the lesson while answering the question makes it lovely and funny interface.

Cons:

A very unique and interactive software, it has never disappointed us.

Reasons for switching to Kahoot!

With Adobe Learning Manager if you add a quiz you get a fatal error and it shuts down.

What you want is to Kahoot!

For the times I have used it, I have found it appropriate and keeps students engaged. Additionally as a teacher I still have full control of the quizzes and can provide feedback with statistics to the students.

Pros:

One of the few things that the students really enjoy and for that reason I am drawn to it. That said, I have found it very easy to use and setup.

Cons:

It takes time to customise and setup the quizzes and while it has a question bank, it is always better to set up your own questions and this takes time.

Reasons for choosing Kahoot!

The students seem to enjoy it more than the others but from a teacher's point of view, Kahoot offered me more in terms of providing statistics and feedback to my students in realtime.

Free tool to create competition

Overall Kahoot! is easy to use and easy to deploy within meetings in order to test your users on whatever information you have presented it. It’s also a really great way for team bonding because there is a competitive edge of who answers the fastest.

What I like most about Kahoot! is that it is free to sign up and use and it is one of the easiest programs to use within the browser. It was great at giving questions and allowing users answer and there was just so many customization option of color scheme and really putting the company’s branding on the product. The other thing I like about Kahoot! is that they are expanding beyond just educational use and going into the corporate field which allows for more customization of look and appearance.

Cons:

It’s hard to say what I like least about Kahoot! because it is just a really great free tool. But maybe that is where it downfall is, is that it is a free tool so there are limitations to what is offered with a free account.

Kahoot in the Workplace

Kahoot has been great for friendly competition at work, and I love the idea of how customizable it is. We use it for company parties or just events where we're gathering. We tend to give out prizes to staff members that have the highest score at the end.

Kahoot is such a staple at our organization! It's not even funny how many times we use it for all staff events. We tend to use it for the accessibility when it we have a number of staff present.

Cons:

I think the only downside and worry to Kahoot is that you cannot filter out inappropriate names if possible. I say this only because we use it at a work function, and it would be nice to remove certain names or have a warning for them.
