About Twice Commerce

Twice Commerce is an all-in-one commerce platform for selling products and equipment as a service. Twice supports circular business models, such as rentals, subscriptions, and second-hand sales. The inventory management system is optimized for the two-way movement of goods (handover and return).

In addition to the powerful store management features, Twice provides companies with all the sales channels to sell online and offline. These include a ready-made online store, a check-in kiosk system, and POS stations for creating orders manually and in person. Every booking and order is connected to the inventory in real-time. Overbooking in Twice is practically impossible regardless of the channel where you made the sales.

Twice Commerce is a PCI-DSS audited payment provider, meaning that you don't need a third-party payment gateway to accept payments in your online store. Important rental industry-specific payment features like security deposits are available in Twice.

Furthermore, Twice offers a wide range of additional merchant services that further help businesses streamline their daily operations.

Rentle solves a problem for rental owners

Pros:

I like that Rentle has multiple pickup locations enabled, and the interface is simple, easy to learn. It is smooth functioning on my Squarespace website and looks beautiful. Provides a no-code solution to take payments and deposits.

Cons:

I wish there were more options to customize the calendar function of Rentle, and also, remove the Privacy Policy popup. Last nitpicky thing is I wish that renters can select the pickup location first, before they select the date that they pickup the car, and before the calendar part.

Reasons for switching to Twice Commerce

Booqable was glitchy on my Squarespace website and does not have multiple pickup locations enabled, otherwise there is like a $15 per month fee per extra location, which is really high.

Using as rental tool for sound/light company.

Overall I'm very happy with Rentle. I love using is, it's very easy. That's also the reason I'm willing to pay the more expensive subscription, because I can't think of doing my job without it.

Pros:

I started with Rental when they had a very cheap subscription, so it was the best tool for the buck. It is very slick in looks and is very easy to use. In a couple of minutes I managed to create my first products and could publish the online shop on my WordPress website. When I had questions, I got a really fast response of the support team. I even had 2 videomeetings with them, so they are really into giving good support.

Cons:

I still miss the ability to create packages with multiple devices of the same product. This moment you can create packages, but with only 1 item of each product. I contacted the support team and they ensured that they were working on a revised packaging system. I'm really looking forward to that update. Second bummer was the update in subscription model. This made Rentle for me (as a very low user) way more expensive. For the options I need, I have to go to a higher tier. Luckily I get a 50% discount because of the low amount of rentals I register, but it's still a lot more expensive than it was. At the moment it sits in the same price range as other competitors and is cheaper than the expert tool Rentman which is made for companies as mine, but of course it has less possibilities than Rentman.

Still Learning, but not sure if it will work in the long run

It's been ok. Hard to make it work for the company I'm setting it up for, but glad we have [SENSITIVE CONTENT] to help us through.

I loved that we had customer support to help us through the issues we were having, but I noticed that there are a few things that are necessary for us an an event rental shop that won't work with this system.

Cons:

Not being able to utilize some of the features because we are based in the US.

I like the way it looked and how easy it was to figure out. From the beginning I was told it was going to be able to do everything I needed.

Amazing Software, Perfect for my Needs

Pros:

From the start, the software was very intuitive and easy to use; I could start adding products straight away. The professional-looking storefront is an immediate attraction to the software as this represents my business. While slightly confusing at first, differentiating between products, articles, and SKUs is very logical and has helped to organise my inventory.

Cons:

There are a few annoyances that you might expect for software in development. Things like: in your inventory, when changing which columns to view, you would expect this to be a permanent change as then you're only viewing the information that's important to you; the ability to add specifications to an article is great, however it would be really useful is these could then be shown on each product as well; Finally, the ability to add more than one custom field at checkout would enable me to get more info from a customer, before placing their order. These are only very minor gripes at what is a truly amazing piece of software that is really making a difference in the e-commerce world.

Reasons for choosing Twice Commerce

It had all the features I was after (Inventory management, Bookings management, an online store) all for free and even hosts the webstore for free. This would have cost me more at another company.

We switched from Six Booking to Rentle for the inventory feature and ease of use. It was easy to set up and met all our important needs.

Cons:

I would like more options for editing the online store. The layout is very limited.

WIX Booking could not meet our basic needs and did not allow changes to the booking calendar.

Rentle - grows with you great

Pros:

We are early on in our business, and my favorite part about rentle.io is the ability to expand on the platform as needed. We were able to test it for free in a trial environment, and then expand to use more of their product features with their "block" upgrade system.

Cons:

I don't love the way the pricing breakdowns for various rental lengths. I would like to see a more intuitive sliding scale where rental rates decrease by a % or flat rate for each additional day.

Reasons for choosing Twice Commerce

As noted above, the simplicity of getting started on rentle.io followed by the ability to use more of the complex features as needed were the perfect way to start our business. Their support team is always there to help us overcome hurdles.

Pros:

Pricing model works very well for me, as I am a startup. The transaction based pricing will go up as my business grows, which is fine for me.

Cons:

Translation to German is sometimes a bit "rough", but team at Rentle is open for suggestions.

I had a look at several other companies, and have also started a trial with booqable. I like the interface from Rentle better, Rentle seems to better cover my core needs, and as I am a startup currently the transaction based pricing model of Rentle is better for me.

Rentle is very intuitive, easy to use and has bunch of functionalities. You're good to go very quickly.

Cons:

Tricky to suggest an alternative location for a customer that is looking for a specific product in network of multiple near-by locations. If the location preferred by customer has no inventory, by default customer needs to check other locations manually.
