About SchoolCues

SchoolCues is a school management solution that helps educational institutions handle student admissions, enrollment, tuition payments and parent communication. It enables school administrators to capture and store students’ information such as medical records, allergies, emergency contact details, photos and more in a centralized repository.

SchoolCues allows organizations to create custom forms, maintain documentation and streamline the registration process for parents and students. Features include data storage management, billing, reporting, alerts, SSL encryption and more. Additionally, teachers can track students’ attendance, upload assignments and manage class announcements via newsletters.

SchoolCues also offers an alumni management module, which lets administrators maintain and update alumni lists, interact with students and collect donations. Pricing is available on an annual subscription and support is extended via phone, email and other online measures.

User-Friendly Platform

My overall experience with SchoolCues has been great. The platform is easy to navigate and provides a lot of useful features for managing communication and school records. I’ve found their training sessions to be very helpful, and they are always willing to set up a meeting on Fridays or at other convenient times to troubleshoot any issues. Their support team is readily available and responsive, which makes the process of setting up and resolving any concerns much easier.

Pros:

What I like most about SchoolCues is how it keeps all attendance records in one place, making it easy to track and manage. The system also makes communication between teachers and parents seamless, with the ability to send updates and messages directly. I especially appreciate being able to input alumni information, as well as creating sign-up sheets for parents for events or activities. It truly helps streamline everything!

Cons:

What I like least about SchoolCues is that it doesn’t offer an option to translate messages into another language or switch the language in which you type. Additionally, it would be helpful if we could pull attendance records from previous years. I also would like to allow longer messaging when creating a textcue or sign up sheet details.

SchoolCues is the answer you're looking for

We have used SchoolCues for 3 years now and plan to continue with it. For small schools, it provides everything we need and then some. Each year, we have added more options.

Very comprehensive software that offers so many valuable modules, all with ease of use. We have been very happy and highly recommend this management software!

Cons:

There was not one feature we didn't like or use with SchoolCues. What I liked least was the module associated with alumni because I don't think we used it correctly.

The cost for SchoolCues was more in line with our budget.

Pretty bad platform over all, not dialed down on many issues.

Pretty tribble, too bad we missed the window of getting our money back, otherwise we would've gone back to quick books, we did that already for communication, we went back to Bloomz....

I like having parent teacher interaction, any type of electronic form and the payments on the same platform

Cons:

The customer support is terrible, the payments are so hard to maneuver and they are very robust. not easy to work with...just frustrating, Quickbooks way easier to use for payments

Would recommend for a small school

Very helpful, excellent onboarding and training. Great customer service, very accessible. There are some reporting features that I think could be improved for just pulling csv lists of students etc. Custom reports would be great to add. Great value for the cost though!

Breadth of the product, tuition programming works well, easy setup, mobile app is solid for emergency contacts etc.

Cons:

Gradebook is not great, especially for a high school situation where you have to upload previous course credits.

More features at a better price point. Tuio only handles tuition and I needed something to manage admissions and SIS

SchoolCues

SchoolCues has been a wonderful addition to our school. Dr. [sensitive content hidden] is so personable and ensures that you have everything you need to be successful. [sensitive content hidden] is PHENOMENAL at her job and is so quick to answer any questions. Support gets back to us almost immediately if we have any questions or need help with something. There are how-to videos available directly on your SchoolCues portal if you have something you forget how to do or want to make sure you are setting up things correctly. We were able to pick and choose the modules that we needed for our school. The Admin App makes life so much easier for our administrators and provides information we need while we are on the go. TextCues allows us to provide quick updates to families in a timely fashion. We are going into our third year with SchoolCues and couldn't be happier with the service.

Our school families absolutely love SchoolCues. They feel like it is very user friendly and has so many things to help make life easier. Being able to pay school fees, submit absence notices, and fill out all student forms in one place is an amazing thing and a time saver for so many of our families. As the school worker that runs our SchoolCues, support always got back to me almost immediately whenever I have a question or needed help with something.

School Cues Review

It’s been wonderful! We've been using SchoolCues since November when we had to abruptly switch software applications. The training and transition were smooth, and once we got the hang of the system, it proved to be incredibly reliable. Several other schools I spoke with before purchasing shared similar positive experiences. The platform is easy to use, the help desk is consistently responsive, and it offers many tools that our previous software lacked—all at an affordable price. We highly recommend it to any small school looking for a robust tuition payment collection solution.

It offers all the essential features our school needs to efficiently collect tuition and fees—without breaking the bank. The platform is user-friendly and includes helpful video tutorials to make getting acclimated seamless.

Cons:

A call-in help line would be fantastic, though I understand that most software support systems are shifting away from that approach.

Facts was too expenses compared even with all the discounts they offered. The upfront cost was tremendous.

Curacubby notified us in October that they will no longer be in business after Dec 2024.

Cons:

SchoolCues doesn't have a good system for sharing photos from staff to families.

Love this app!

They are quick to fix any issues and have been very professional. I highly recommend this app! The price is also extremely doable for a small school.

It has everything in one place! Communication, payments, school information system, etc. Anytime I have any issues, they are quick to rectify them and see what they can do further.

Cons:

They are still working on adding notifications from the app, otherwise I don’t get notified on any messages.

Very comprehensive tool for small schools

Pros:

Very comprehensive. We use it for student enrollment, billing and receiving payments, sending emails and texts to parents, parent-teacher conference signups, and more.

Cons:

Because it's so comprehensive, it does a LOT, and not every module is as smooth to use as another. For instance, the signups module is not as easy to use as Sign Up Genius, BUT it's all within the same system as everything else, as opposed to lots of unrelated apps. And because they do so many upgrades, there can be a few minor glitches as they roll out the new features, but at least they continue to enhance the product's value. There are some apps that are "cuter" that really appeal to early childhood parents, but of the products that I've seen, SchoolCues offers the most functionality in terms of what schools truly need, especially considering the price.

We love the ease of use. It is so helpful to have an SIS, enrollment, permission slips, sign ups, tuition, and schoolwide messaging all in one place

Cons:

There is no integration with Google Classroom. Other than that, there are really no complaints that we have.
