About SmartSurvey

SmartSurvey is an online survey solution that allows businesses to design customized surveys. The solution includes ready-made templates and custom designing tools to build and share online surveys with participants.

SmartSurvey includes a library of question types, and its contact list management and reporting features help to collect and analyze survey results. Survey designers can set validity and restrictions to their surveys to avoid inaccurate and invalid responses. Designers can also embed interactive audio, video and images within their surveys.

SmartSurvey allows users to incorporate their brand's logo and background images into their surveys. It collects responses in real time, and the data can be viewed or exported into Excel files.

The basic version of SmartSurvey is available for free, while users pay a monthly subscription for premium features. Along with private companies, this solution also finds its application in education, government, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.

The best choice for non-profit organisations

It's the best way to find out what your audience really thinks. They could be members, residents, users or colleagues. Conducting an anonymouse survey of them with Smart Survey encourgaes them to give you honest opinions and that helps you work out your priorities and strategies moving forward.

Pros:

Smart Survey is very easy to use for non-professionals. Sometimes small, non-profit organisations need to do some market research but don't have the professional expertise or resources to outsource it. Smart Survey is a really good choice for them, because it has all the essential features and functionality needed for a professional survey and is easy to learn and implement. Above all it looks professional and has an authoritative sounding name so that when you publish the survey online it looks good. That helps people to respond.

Cons:

I can't really think of anything I don't like about it.

Reasons for switching to SmartSurvey

"Smart Survey" feels better, sounds better and looks better than "Survey Monkey"!

Pros:

Easy to use, lots of customisation, strong reporting features and fab customer service. Really easy to use product and good value for money.

Cons:

There is no real downfall to the software, we just need help with API's and plug ins from other departments, and it does not have a ' web page / engagement page' but we can embed these into existing websites.

Reasons for switching to SmartSurvey

Better value for money and better functionality / reporting.

Not user friendly at all, very impersonal service, confusing

The verification for logging in every time, the difficulty sending test emails and the time taken to get an automated support response are all very disappointing. Smart Survey use to be much better than this.

Smart Survey First Time User

I have only recently found Smart Survey, and I have to say I'm very impressed. My support ticket was resolved very quickly, particularly important to me at the moment as I want to make the most of my 14 day trial period. I had a couple of questions regarding monthly billing, so I phoned. All of my concerns were answered very clearly by [sensitive content hidden]. When the time comes for the live survey I'm planning I will definitely use Smart Survey it beats Survey Monkey by miles. Thank you

Feature rich, reasonable costs, the ability to pay by month rather than having to take out a 12 month subscription

Cons:

Found it difficult to navigate between some of the setup options, but I'm sure this will ease as I use it more

Survey Monkey has many bad reviews on Trust Pilot related to billing. This was a particularly important consideration for me

One of the best customer support out there

Pros:

Easy to use, simple to implement, straight to the point, reasonably priced.

Cons:

Some of the respondents were not from the relevant field as requested. Some did not provide relevant answers to the questions. There is a little bit of cleaning needed in SmartSurvey's database to address the former; as far as the latter goes this is not something that they can really control, so I won't take any points away for that.

Cons:

The overview about the different pricing options is confusing and should get a rework. On the other side customer support was helping a lot.

I like that it’s flexible for any kind of survey needs and the language translation helps include more people.

Cons:

You’ve always got to check the previews though, ’cause sometimes the template might not match the one you edited or were aiming for.

I find Smart Survey easy to create and modify surveys and create reports and I like that language translation tool.

Easy to use. Intuitive functions and flexible features that allow really complicated questions to be broken down into sections which change based on the responses.

Cons:

The design screen does not fully represent the eventual look and feel of the survey which causes the need for frequent preview and rework.
