So easy to use, helps simplify my job!

Instinct has been a positive change for our hospital. From the ease of use, the efficiency of communication and billing, the efficiency of data entry and record-keeping of patient information, to the design and fun little graphics and quotes! I am grateful to be using Instinct for my day to day duties and would recommend it to anyone.

Pros:

I love how user friendly Instinct is. I was delighted when my company decided to fully switch over to Instinct from a different system, I remember thinking to myself "about time!" Instinct makes viewing and managing patient information and billing so simple and efficient. One of my favorite features is the "rapid registration" option which allows me to quickly check in new patients with ease (which helps me greatly when dealing with emergent cases). I can also easily chat with my teammates and even with clients which I love! Communication is a must in our hospital and using Instinct has made it so much more convenient. Also, as a somewhat of a user design nerd, I enjoy the design of Instinct.

Cons:

There have been small bugs here and there, such as every now and then there may be a delay in documents being generated, or the program suddenly runs slowly, etc. But these instances are not common at all and when they occur, the Instinct team are quick and very communicative about the issues and get everything handled quickly while keeping us thoroughly updated.

I love Instinct

Overall- I love that our practice moved to using Instinct. As someone who has used many vet software programs, it is the one that is actually useful for the vet staff. As a technician, I love the treatment sheet use and the anesthesia record. As a teacher, it is user-intuitative, so it is easy to teach to new staff, and easy to find resolutions to any questions

Pros:

love the customer support and the ease of use- it is user intuative. Even if you have a question, they are quick to answer or come up with a solution. Even people who are new to vet med find the program easy to use!

Cons:

integration with some of our blood machines- although it is being worked on. Specifically Lytes and iStat

LOVE this platform

I love it, tell people that I love it and convinced my surgeon friend who opened his own practice to use it as his main practice management software.

Pros:

Being able to easily send feedback and request app updates and features through the app itself in instant-messaging fashion. Makes it easy to ask for things when I think of them so I don't forget, and so I don't avoid doing it just so I can skip a phone call.

Cons:

The anesthesia sheet print-outs (or computer-generated attachments) print out VERYA long, like 15-30 pages depending on how long the procedure was. But then again I focus on anesthesia, and only have used it for ax mode and inpatient mode so far.

Best Emergency EMR

Instinct has been crucial in the success of our start up ER. It made records, inventory and treatment plans easy to build and follow.

Pros:

User friendly, intuitive, and the response from the Instinct team is unmatched. I have used multiple EMRs and Instinct is the most straightforward and easy to use.

Cons:

Lack of connectivity with other platforms. The inability for seamless integration of patient data creates excess steps and potential loss of information from patient records.

Our ER LOVES Instinct!

Me and our entire staff are really happy with our switch from Cornerstone to Instinct. It makes doing our job so much easier. It's so intuitive and easly navigated.

Pros:

The platform is very intuitive and honestly, aesthetically pleasing as well. But the customer service? STELLAR! We are a 24 hr emergency hospital and having the knowledge that we have an actual human for support the entire 24 hours is invaluable to us (BeepBoop is helpful, too!)

Cons:

It is really easy to use, but I wish it were just a bit more customizable to our individual needs. Don't get me wrong, it is a great platform, but there are a few of the reports that I wish I could tweak to give me the metrics I am interested in tracking and do away with the ones I don't want.

Cornerstone was clunky to use and not customizable for our needs, not to mention, their continued pricing increases over the past 2 years has made it have zero value to us. There is negligible customer support as well.

Instinct is instinctual

Much easier and very well done. Printouts for owners are neat and easily read. Plumbs is very helpful for my newer DVMs.

It is very user friendly and instinctual! New staff have said it is the easiest program that they have used out of many.

Cons:

Signature pads don’t work as well. That is the only issue that I really have with it since everything else is wonderful.

More drop down menus Blood transfusion integrated to have every 15 minute intervals AX mode have the PIP/PEEP part of the graph

Easy to use and I can quickly get the information in the record. It is easy to follow the information and easy to look at

Cons:

Inputting the treatment plan, adjusting the time for treatments can be a little confusing sometimes to put the end time of the treatment

Instinct Saves ER!

We love Instinct! The customer service is also great with any sort of data collection.

Pros:

Instinct is great, we love the all in one feature of the PIMS. Instinct has several unique features that promote a positive working experience and takes the burden off of several aspects of ER.

Cons:

Having to have another integration system for x-ray was frustrating. You have to have a company such as Asteris for xray to communicate with Instinct. We lost a large amount of charge capture during this waiting phase.
