Pros:

Berrycast sometimes makes doing screen recordings easier to make and share than other solutions.... sometimes

Cons:

Berrycast fails to upload videos a lot and doesn't have good recovery options. I've never had it upload a video after it fails.

Pros:

It's super easy to set up and get started right away. Amazing too with a nice user interface, but don't be fooled by the simplicity this is a powerful piece of software for recording screen shares and to create and share videos. As both a freelance project manager and trainer I am able to use the software to share instructions with clients, other contractors and potential leads as well as create content for social media.

Cons:

Nothing, this gives me everything I need for this tool.

A friend recommended BerryCast to me - I like the fact for the tier level that video recording is unlimited.

A great way to create screen recordings and share them

It's a great tool to do a screen recording and share with others. I've also used it to create pieces to put into other video footage.

I like how easy and quick it is to start a recording and how you can easily share it straight away.

Cons:

I'd like it if the controls to start and stop the recording could completely go away once you hit record. You either have to have it in the recording, or select an area and make sure it is out of the way.

Berrycast is now a regular tool for presenting work remotely to clients

The main way we use Berrycast is to present our projects to clients asynchronously. The app allows us to be more concise, more to the point, and saves everyone's time by avoiding yet another hour-long Zoom meeting. In a 5-10 minute video, I showcase the mock-ups of the project, explain our creative vision, and suggest some thoughts and next steps for discussing this presentation. Customers love being able to watch presentations at their convenience and the ease of a browser. The other main way we use Berrycast is to give feedback to our team, on designs they produced. Team members appreciate this vocal and visual feedback along with an email that lists every correction to make, that serves as a checklist.

Pros:

I love how easy Berrycast is to use and how in 5 seconds, we're ready to record. Once you've mastered the keyboard shortcuts, it's even easier to record smoother videos, pausing to avoid "uhhhh's." I like that I can rename the files, share through a link or email, as well as the overall look of the app. I also enjoy being able to create folders and thus organize according to our active clients. But my favorite feature of all is the white label, available with a Pro account! Customization with our logo and brand colors is great. I generally love when I can appropriate a software to make it my own, and so far Berrycast is doing it well.

Cons:

One little thing that bothers me is that the app automatically opens when I restart my computer. But you can easily disable this in the settings.

Reasons for switching to Berrycast

I find that Berrycast is simpler, cleaner and fits my needs better. (Share with a link, add a title to the video, White Label, etc)

Highly recommend this alternative to Loom

Berrycast helps me and my team discuss new initiatives in our processes, onboard new team members, and improve overall team communication. We've also been using it to share best practices with our customers and provide them with how-to videos for future reference.

Best Screen Cap software for Business.

Screen recording done right: 1. Pick a screen to record 2. Record 3. Send the link to someone you want to view the recording All my videos are recorded in the cloud, and I can download if I want to. When I send it to someone, it's guaranteed that they can view it.

Cons:

The software is extremely light on features. I'd love an option to cut parts of the video out before loading it to the cloud, or have an editing option post-load. It does what it's supposed to extremely well, but doesn't improve on that process.

Reasons for switching to Berrycast

Loom didn't offer a good deal, and Berrycast can work outside the chrome browser.

The best is that it's so easy and I can use it without thinking about it!

First it was the branding, but now we can use our own branding and therefore I don't know anything negative, it's just a great tool, yes G R E A T ! !

Berrycast is one of the productivity secrets at Finc3. We heavily use it to teach colleagues about new processes, share ideas and even do asynchronous meetings internally and with clients. The tool is perfectly lightweight and encodes video blazingly fast compared to other screen recorders. We love that it integrates well with asana, rendering rich video previews into asana tasks, so it is easy to give people more context.

Cons:

There are only minor improvements. User management should be improved for business accounts to more easily, i.e. reset the passwords of users or ensure 2factor authentication. and then there are minor pet peeves like the password entry page not being branded (yet)

Great product - watch out Loom

Pros:

Being able to brand the product is awesome and helps to keep brand consistency across the many products/platforms that we use. Allowing clients to comment on the video is great and allows us to give clarity to our clients very quickly with zero risk of miscommunication.

Cons:

No branding on password entry splash screen. The macOS can at times feel a little clunky but it is functional. I hate that we cannot remove the Berrycast toolbar during recordings or afterwards. It really does limit our use case.
