About McAfee Security for Email Servers

McAfee Security for Email Servers is a cloud-based solution, designed to help enterprises detect and block viruses, worms, and trojans from entering the network.

McAfee Security for Email Servers allows security teams to identify and block threats at the gateway by recognising the IP address of sending server. Its GTI message and sender reputation module lets IT teams protect customers against known and emerging message-based threats.
The prebuilt content filters enable policy creation for individuals and departments and filter banned file types and offensive content. Supervisors can receive notifications about the product’s health status and monitor the total time taken to scan files.

McAfee Security for Email Servers offers integration with McAfee Advanced Threat Defense. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via documentation.

    Non-intrusive system. Just check to make sure it's activated and works in background. It will occasionally pop-up when you try to open an attachment, but better safe than sorry and it seems to learn what you regularly use.
    Cons:
    I haven't had to deal with it much as it seems to work. No complaints.

    Helps keep your data safe and protect your email servers. It was easy to set up and is fast loading.
    Cons:
    Some emails were marked as spam or malicious when they were not and I missed these emails which were important for my business, delaying my response. it was very challenging to uninstall when switching to another protection software.

    The software was free with internet service provider.
    Cons:
    It was easily hacked. I kept getting emails that my subscription had expired - when it was not. The email went on to read that I needed to pay in order to be protected. I ended up cancelling because I could not tell if it was legitimate or not.

    It blocks threats that could case a virus. it blocks malware and spamming emails. Given my job i need to keep my email safe. I cannot afford harmful emails to get through. I had an incident a few years ago where I was locked out of my own email because a hacker had gotten through. I was never able to gain entrance again despite reaching ut to the email host. I lost important and private emails with sensitive information.
    Cons:
    I have not had any issues so far. There may have been a couple of times that it sent emails to my junk folder that were actually safe but I check that folder regularly to make sure that hasn't happened. It is a mild inconvenience for safety.

    Although I would rather not name the previous software, I will say it was not monitoring effectively.

    This is a great spam protection software that provides a peace of mind knowing that your email servers will not be hacked. It is important to keep that data safe, and McAfee does just that!
    Cons:
    As with any spam protection software, McAfree does come at a price. It is not the cheapest option out there, so you will need to pay for the high level of security that is provided.

    With the McAfee security for emails servers we are able to send and receive client information without worrying about emails being hacked. And we are able to follow HIPPA policies.

    currently there are no cons. I found that once contacts were added to my address book they stopped being listed as spam. This was more a user error.

    Overall experience has been very good. I trust the product. I had a bad experience having my email hacked years ago causing me a lot of annoyance being locked out of email and losing important email addresses. I use email daily for work purposes so I need to know my email is as safe as possible.

    Excellent reputation, filters messages, keeps email safe. Easy to use.
    Cons:
    I forgot to renew and I felt they were very pushy in terms of reminding me. Too many reminders sent repeatedly before I had a chance to take care of it. Some non-threatening messages were filtered as malicious causing a delay in my response.
