Booking Made Easy with Mangomint

Overall, I’d give it a solid 10/10. The support team is always on top of things, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful. Any time I’ve had a question or needed assistance, they’ve made the process easy and stress-free.

Pros:
I absolutely love their booking software! It’s smooth, intuitive, and makes scheduling effortless for both clients and staff. Such a great experience overall!
Cons:
There’s nothing I really dislike. One area I think could be improved is adding an expiration date option for account balances or unused credits, so they can automatically roll off over time.

Reasons for switching to Mangomint

Absolutely poor quality. Customers didn’t even know how to streamline appointments, and the system forced clients to create accounts while capturing their emails, which could be used by other spas in the area. We ended up losing many regular clients because of this outdated software.

Best software I’ve found being a small salon/spa!

Painless to transfer over from previous software- always up to date- constant new USEABLE features. Payroll is easy and wonderful- very cost friendly. Overall I have nothing negative to really say- I love the latest new features and am excited for the direction they’re going!

Ease of use- simplifies all systems, appointment management is simple for everyone! Guests love booking online and have very few issues. Messaging and communication with guests is streamlined and in one location. That creates less headaches and improved guest experiences. Customer support is always available within a short time frame. My questions are always answered quickly and efficiently. User interface is simple and intuitive; my staff picks everything up quickly with limited issues.
Cons:
Cost is on the higher end but I think it’s justified on its vast capabilities and options for add ons. Priced very fair considering others are much more!

Mango mints interface is the most simple. Once I started using it, it went far beyond that. The software seems to be incomparable to others that may be like it.

Reasons for switching to Mangomint

The software I was using was not simple for my guest to book online, the reports were confusing, there was always four different ways to do everything and everything was complicated.

A lot of potential, but missing key features.

While we enjoy the quick responses from customer service and there are a lot of bells and whistles, the missing core features are a huge problem for us. Our intention with switching to this software, which is significantly more expensive than the rest on the market, was to automate our system as much as possible. We have a setup at our spa that is becoming more common in our industry- we don't have a full time front desk person and our providers are independent contractors. This makes features like clients being able to reschedule appointments, and streamlined tipping options absolutely necessary. Instead of making our lives easier, we have found that Mangomint is more work for everyone involved, including clients. It's disappointing for the price, and especially because we were not aware of these issues until after the significantly labor intensive onboarding process. We are as yet undecided as to whether we will stick with Mangomint past the trial period, and will certainly update this review if these issues are addressed.

We love the look and feel of the interface, and the responsiveness of customer service. The waiting room feature is helpful. We like the options for staying engaged with clients via two way texting and email/text marketing.
Cons:
We were shocked to find after the onboarding process that clients do not have the option to reschedule their own appointments. With any other service on the market, this is a basic feature. We require a booking deposit, so with our previous system, if a client needed to reschedule, they could do so at their convenience with the click of a button. Their deposit would apply to the new appointment (provided they were within the cancellation policy window). With Mangomint, our clients are complaining constantly about having to completely rebook the appointment and pay a new deposit. Furthermore, Mangomint does not keep track of deposits paid in an easily accessible way, so checkout in these situations is very problematic with us searching through client history for previous deposits paid, and doing math at the checkout desk. Another issue is that when clients pay using memberships or packages, there is no automated prompt for the the client to have the option to tip the service provider. Since the total is zero at checkout, the provider has to awkwardly ask the client if they want to tip, then send them a text that just says "pay for your appointment here". There are no tip percentage options in this text, just a zero balance and the client has to just come up with a number. We find this to be an uncomfortable situation for both providers and clients, and it feels unprofessional. While we appreciate that we can choose whether to "stack appointments" or allow clients to book any time, we wish that this was something that individual staff members could choose since they are independent contractors and have different preferences.

Switching to Mangomint has been such a great decision for our salon. The transition from our previous system was incredibly easy—exporting all of our information was smooth, and the Mangomint team has been beyond helpful. They are quick to respond, knowledgeable, and truly supportive every step of the way. We’ve only been live for about a week, and our clients are already loving it. The online booking is clean, easy to use, and visually appealing. Clients especially enjoy being able to upload inspiration photos directly when booking their appointments, which has been a game changer for consultations. The client communication and texting features alone have been a lifesaver. With our previous software, we couldn’t see message history or conversations, which made things confusing and inconsistent. Mangomint keeps everything organized and visible, eliminating the guesswork entirely. We’re also very excited to run payroll for the first time next week. Having direct deposit and not needing to manually handle employee taxes or send everything to our accountant will save so much time and stress. We can’t wait to continue exploring everything Mangomint offers and see how much more efficient it can help us become—for both our team and our clients.
Cons:
Things we dislike at the time Cannot charge a surcharge on credit card and am ECO fee with being a Green Circle Salon Not being able to Intergrate Vish Color system Top production report for all The stylist teeth for a certain date range. Showing all on one paper. Having total clients, service $ per hour, retail to service %, retail $, prebooking%, client retention. So we Don’t have to have a report for each one and back. When a sale is closed and done. The screen doesn’t close or give you a button to click On to be done and not keep a screen up for what was rang up. Having to click appointment book then it wants On make an app and then you have to close that out just to clear Sales Screen after someone pays. Have option or a box to pop up when ringing out client to remind the person ringing them up to ask client to prebook.

I love everything about Mangomint! It is very easy to navigate and schedule or modify appointment. The app is just as powerful as the full browser version and customer service is superior to all others. It has so many functions that make the work day so much smoother like internal messaging with clients and support for a great price.
Cons:
It is really difficult to think of anything that I do not like. I have asked for several things in my text support chats and they have said they submitted a request to add those features. Right now I have an appointment scheduled for 1.27 at 12pm to learning how to make changes to an appointment that was scheduled online. We are having trouble with this. Also, how to charge a no show client in full using the card that they used to place the deposit. Sending the self checkout link will never work for a client that does not value our time. They will not willingly pay. We need to be able to charge the card they used for the deposit.

Booker was inconstant and had many down times when we were not able to use the software at all or partially.

I have used 7 EMRs in aesthetics and Mangomint is by far the best!

It's ability to customize to almost anything we need and the quick responsiveness of support to either give solutions or take suggestions. The interface is very simple and aesthetically pleasing. The integration for texting, marketing, calls and flows are intuitive and make our practice stand out from other aesthetic practices. Being able to send a text to complete the booking process so a card number does not need to be given over the phone.
Cons:
The credit system for marketing. But it does make sense. Would appreciate two factor authentication ability for hipaa compliance. No integration with sending Rx.

I loved the ease of migrating my existing client appointments over from another scheduling system. We have had 3 other systems in the past and Mangomint has been the easiest, most fluid system to learn and understand. They have many extras that make running a business a dream too.
Cons:
The Mangomint transfer couldn’t transfer over our business’s personal block time so we had to transfer over this data before opening our new schedule to clients.

Our oldest system sold and we were forced to migrate, we didn’t like where we were forced to migrate so we changed again only to find a slow, inefficient, hard to navigate system that was far worse.

Mangomint is so sophisticated! The booking flow is exactly what I needed! Everything is quick and easy and the set up is very intuitive! I love everything about it and so does my staff and clientele!
Cons:
The only feature that I miss is that the clients are able to book directly to the schedule. I did like that they had to send a request in and we approved it on my other pos software. But the way mangomint is offering my open availability seems to be working great so far! I think we might realize we do not need the request feature at all!

Cons:
Somewhat limited - especially if not a hair salon. It's near to impossible to have every feature that everyone wants - and not end up with a complicated mess. But, there are still some features I wish the product had - like true unlimited membership.
