Genuinely helps teams focus on the most important things

When our leadership announced that we'd be starting to implement the EOS framework into our workflows and that Ninety would be the platform for us to use with it, I was admittedly skeptical, thinking it was just the latest "shiny new thing". While not perfect, EOS+Ninety has pleasantly surprised me by actually improving visibility, focus, and communication across our teams.

Pros:

It has genuinely helped keep my team focused on the most important things each quarter. We all still inevitability get sidetracked with other things that may or may not be urgent, but Ninety helps to remind everyone of what is a "rock" vs what is "sand", in terms of importance.

Cons:

They've made some improvements over the last year and a half that we've used it, but it does still feel like a new platform. Overall it works great for its primary purpose, but there're a handful of small quirks you notice when using it daily. Things like the absence of a true dark mode or limited options for formatting things on the scorecard. I'm sure they'll get there, but these types of things are worth knowing about beforehand.

Reasons for switching to Ninety

We had attempted to utilize Viva for a year or two, but it never caught on, and it did not seem to align with our existing workflows. Ninety ended up being much better for us.

A Good Team Collaboration App for Our Church/Non-Profit

My overall experience with 90 was very positive. Great price, didn't reject churches from the non-profit discount (huge!), and easy to use once you learn the ins and outs.

Pros:

Ninety checked off a lot of boxes I was looking for in a team collaboration app/software. I really appreciated the daily emails with my "To-Dos" and the ease of adding something else to my To-Dos when I'm in the middle of a conversation, so that I wouldn't forget about it. Also, as a church, they didn't gatekeep us from their non-profit discount like most other colab apps did. SO the price became very affordable for what we needed it for. All throughout the process, 90's Customer Service was great. Answered all my questions leading up purchase, good onboarding, and even when I ran into a bug, their support team was on it, communicated often, and resolved the issue.

Cons:

My constructive criticism would be that it's not as polished-looking as other colab apps I looked at. It's all pretty much black, white, and grays. Adding color would help with organization and overall "feel". The other thing is minimal customization to the hub area, called My90. It allows you to add and subtract elements, but a few key elements, like my upcoming meetings, weren't an option to add. I was a little disappointed that custom meetings were another tier up from the base tier, so we weren't able to create those custom meetings, which would have been massively helpful, because of cost restraints on our end.

Reasons for choosing Ninety

The price was better; they offered the non-profit discount to churches (most do not, which instantly gave me a negative impression of their organization), and the daily emails with our To-Dos were a big perk.

Fair experience with Ninety

Ninety has been a great tool for L10 meetings with my team and progress tracking and I would recommend it, aside from the account security issues.

Ninety has a very user-friendly interface, allowing anyone to create tasks, host meetings, and view the meeting progress as it takes place.

Cons:

I have had issues in the past with being locked out of my account along with some of my coworkers. From here, we needed to start the account reset process, but the customer service was good and worked fast.

Reasons for switching to Ninety

Notion was not designed for our needs in terms of meetings. Weekly team meetings were more fit for Ninety.

Go Farther Faster in EOS with Ninety

I started using it in my business in 2018 when we transitioned from what is now Bloom Growth to Ninety.io. It was just more functional, easier to use and more intuitive. Fast forward to me becoming an EOS Implementer, and I recommended all my clients use it, and they love it too. Also, every time I need help, the team is so responsive, and their chat function and library of help is great.

Pros:

How well it has helped my teams run on EOS even better, even faster. The work is the work, nothing substitutes that. But having a place to put it all, access it easily and run the entire organization on it means better faster implementation of EOS.

Cons:

That there wasn't an app for it, but now there is! Before I had to pin the website to my phone to update things...so thrilled that there is an app now.

Reasons for switching to Ninety

Bloom was clunky and not intuitive at the time.

90IO is the Bomb!

It's incredible. It pretty much runs my entire practice. It's a lovely management tool and this in combination with EOS, weeds out those who are not right fit team members. I'm not sure what I did before 90IO.

Pros:

I've never had an issue that I asked them for help on and they weren't able to fix it. Their help desk is incredible. There is someone available 24/7,8, 9, 10.

Cons:

It would be nice if there was an Accountability chart playground, but idk if that's really that big of a deal.

Reasons for choosing Ninety

My Integrator at the time chose it. I'm not sure why but I'm so glad he did. I think the other people at the conference liked 90IO better.

Great customer service. Great product - simple and intuitive. Clear development pipeline - keeps getting better.

Cons:

So far, nothing. They could improve support for Spanish, although working with Chrome translate turned on, results in a 99% good experience.

The other product was not intuitive and hard to use. Also UI very ugly.

An EOS-company Must-Have

We highly recommend Ninety, especially if you are an EOS company. I truly do not know how EOS companies run without it. Everything EOS is able to be easily accessed by the entire team, from the VTO and accountability chart to the issues list and scorecard. It also negates the need for someone to spend the entire meeting just taking notes, because you can create issues and to-dos so easily and quickly. Ninety keeps everything organized and focused. It is a must-have for EOS companies.

Pros:

We love using Ninety to keep us on track and keep communication open! The accountability aspect is great, so everyone can see what everyone else agreed to accomplish, and help each other out if needed. One of the most practical pros of Ninety is that we don't have to keep a running list of issues ourselves to bring to the next meeting and try to remember them all. We can all access the platform and add issues as we go.

Cons:

Ninety was really hard to use and understand at first. Part of that was probably that I didn't receive much training/direction from my team, but also the concept was hard to grasp until I read "What the Heck is EOS." Then it all clicked. But I know that most of our employees have struggled to grasp it until we first explain the EOS concepts. We were using it before we were an EOS company, so it was difficult prior to joining EOS.

90 Rocks!!

I recommend 90 to everyone, my experience with customer support is they are always quick and communicate well when I reach out. My suggestions have been taken, and they are always open to new ones. Ease of use for my day-to-day role.

It allows me to keep everyone informed with the same information while tracking work. I also love being part of the Beta users and feeling heard when I make suggestions, 90 really listens.

Cons:

It seems like Monday's are glitch day if anything is going to go wrong. The mobile app could also be streamlined a little better.

Great app for our leadership team!

Pros:

We recently started using this for our weekly leadership meetings to keep everything we need stored in one place. It is great for collaboration, keeping everyone accountable, and it's nice for everyone to rate how the meeting went at the end!

Cons:

I think it can get a bit confusing to use at first because there are so many different tabs to go through. Other than that, it is great for our whole team!
