A one stop place for planning trips out!

My overall experience with Google Maps is a positive one, making planning journeys and get around new places easy, simple, and convenient. I use it almost daily! I use it for area mapping, as it is also great for searching for restaurants, things to do, places of interest, etc., which makes it valuable for exploring new places with everything in one app. With Google Maps being so easy to use I have not had the need to use their customer support!

Pros:

Google Maps creates mapping routes quickly, with the ability to include multiple stops along your route, providing one seamless set of directions. It is able to update the route you take if you change direction or miss a turning. I use Google Maps for both driving and walking, and locally or aboard. I use the free service which clearly offers great value for money.

Cons:

There is not much I do not like about Google Maps, it is possible some other mapping services give more real time information about traffic jams and slow moving areas, but I have not done any in depth comparison. The app works fine on my mobile, and also other mobiles within my family, making it versatile and easy to use, my children also use it with no problems.

My go to map app

Overall, its a great app, and I prefer it over Waze or Apple Maps. It’s reliable and easy to use, and for our fleet, the real-time traffic updates—like accidents or delays—are a huge help. I especially appreciate how it can suggest quicker routes, which helps us stay on schedule and avoid unexpected issues

How reliable it is for navigating anywhere. For our fleet, the real-time traffic updates have been a huge help in keeping deliveries on schedule and avoiding delays.

Cons:

Sometimes the traffic predictions or suggested routes aren’t fully accurate, or seem kind of random, which can be frustrating when planning for our fleet or when my driver has unexpected re-routes. It’s usually minor, but it means I double-check routes to make sure we stay on schedule.

Google Maps. It's not just a Map. It's a convenience to life itself!

If there is ever anything you need to know about your local area, or your local stores, I guarantee you will find it on Google Maps. This application is free for anyone to use so long as they have internet access. It's very simple to understand, just type in what you're looking for an let Google Maps do the rest. For example, if you're looking for a Pizza place, just type in Pizza and Google Maps will get you the location of all the Pizza places near you. It will tell you how far away, and it will even give you turn by turn instructions of how to get their on foot, bike, or car. Thanks to the support of the people who use Google Maps, you'll find users leaving helpful reviews to help you determine good businesses from bad business. Google Maps even has a program to reward good reviewers by making them Local Guides which there's ten levels of. The more pictures and reviews you leave as a Local Guide, the more points you get towards leveling up. If you see inconsistencies in a map, you can always suggest an edit to help update the map. Google Maps isn't just a simple map. It's a constantly changing/updating Maps that serves as a major convenience to the user's day to day life. I speak as a Level 8 local guide myself. If you haven't tried Google Maps out, I suggest you go try it and see how much of a convenience it really is!

Google Maps thanks to the users who use it is constantly updating. If you're looking for a specific kind of place, Google Maps will tell you where to find it as well as step by step instructions how to get their. The Reviews are there to help you figure out good businesses from bad businesses. Furthered even more by the Local Guide program. You can even suggest edits to the map if something isn't as it actually appears to be.

Cons:

Google Maps does have a lot of botted reviews there for businesses that aren't doing good in hopes to improve their Star Rating.

I use google maps daily. IT def helps me get to where I am going. And I like that it has options for walking, car, bus, train or ride shares.

Pros:

I like the voice navigation and the ability to use it with CarPlay. Also, that I can add additional stops along the way.

Cons:

Sometimes when adding the additional stop it will replace the original stop and navigate to the additional stop first. Would be better if I could easily switch this on car play for the right driving order with stops. Also when the wifi goes out in dead zones I am utterly lost. I wish it would preserve the next 3 steps on the map at least.

Pros:

I use Google Maps CONSTANTLY for market research and data sourcing purposes. It is quite essential to my job, but also a personal favourite maps platform!

Cons:

I dislike that the businesses functions on the map does not auto-update as the map location changes. For example, when you drag the map, it does not automatically search new businesses in that area. You have to manually adjust the search query.

Perfect for long family trips to unknown destinations!

Excellent, always works very quickly, shows speed cameras, traffic build up and adjusts in real time to diversions.

Cons:

Cant fault it at all. However as its been used whilst driving it would be good to have quick access buttons finding petrol stations / restaurants at the quick push of a button.

Daily Google Maps User

My overall experience with Google Maps is that it is something I use every day since I want to make sure I am going the fastest route and estimate how long it'll take me to get somewhere. It's especially helpful when we have to travel for work or are in a location we are not familiar with.

Pros:

The biggest thing I like about Google Maps is that I can customize it to my google account. I want to be able to easily save addresses or locations that I go to pretty often.

Cons:

The biggest con about Google Maps at times is that it gives me a route but sometimes I'll do my own detour and the time will go down even more. I can tell it tries it's best to give me the fastest route, but I don't believe it sometimes.
