About Google Maps

Google Maps is a cloud-based GIS software that allows businesses to create and manage maps, in addition to providing navigation services. It is used by businesses of all kinds, from restaurants to construction companies.

Google Maps allows organization to add markers that appear on their map, as well as pop-up balloons containing information about the marker's location. Users can also customize the appearance of these markers, so they match the brand or logo.

What i like the most about google maps is how easy it is to get to where im going if i don't know the way and it tells you if there is road work or a object in the road

My 'Go To' Map!

Generally, overall, Google Maps is my GO TO app when I need to check the traffic situation coming and going from home or work and when I need directions to somewhere new or just somewhere I want to visit again, but do not remember the way.

Pros:

I love that Google Maps offers MULTIPLE routes between destinations with timeframes for each one. Also, the suggestions offered when it knows there is a traffic backup and lately I've noticed speed trap notifications, which is SUPER awesome!

Cons:

I wish it had somewhere on the MAIN PAGE to choose from 'Favorites' or often used destinations like Home or Work. Home is usually on the main page, but I have to hit the 'Search' bar at the top to find other favorite destinations, which is not convenient at times.

Waze was full of ads and garbage I don't need!

I like how it looks and most of the features like speed trap notifications and more like that!!!!!!!

Cons:

I prefer Apple Maps, I've found Google Maps to be more on the screen and distracting and will often miss turns. It is not always up to date either

Daily Google Maps User

My overall experience with Google Maps is that it is something I use every day since I want to make sure I am going the fastest route and estimate how long it'll take me to get somewhere. It's especially helpful when we have to travel for work or are in a location we are not familiar with.

Pros:

The biggest thing I like about Google Maps is that I can customize it to my google account. I want to be able to easily save addresses or locations that I go to pretty often.

Cons:

The biggest con about Google Maps at times is that it gives me a route but sometimes I'll do my own detour and the time will go down even more. I can tell it tries it's best to give me the fastest route, but I don't believe it sometimes.

Google Maps Is A Life Saver

Honestly Google maps is amazing. Do you remember having the old Garmin navigations? Those are very Stone age. With Google maps you get that real time traffic update and reroute. When there's construction on the road Google maps will notify you of the best route.

I like how Google maps gives you real time traffic updates as well as information on items in the road, stopped cars as well as speed traps. This app is an absolutely lifesaver.

Cons:

The estimated fee for the tolls was off by a little bit with that being said it's not Google's fault the toll roads raised the rates

Pros:

I like that when someone sends me an address as a text message in the correct format it shows up as a hyperlink and I am sent directly to Google Maps when the link is tapped.

Cons:

I don't like that I have to tap the back button multiple times if I decide to exit the navigation before I reach my destination. I am also frustrated by the fact that Google Maps does not reorder multiple stops to give you the fastest route.

Reasons for switching to Google Maps

Google maps was on my smartphone when I bought it and I never considered downloading another app.

Useful for everything, for moving from A to B, to see historical data from a place, to see the surrounding, etc

Cons:

Almost nothing to say, everything is good and trending. Maybe the RT indicators on the GPS mode.

Never lost with google maps.

I use maps almost daily. I love the optuin to see the traffic updates and being able to uss the satelite version when explorong a new area before we travel there.
