About Clearstream

Clearstream is an SMS marketing software, which helps churches of all sizes communicate with members in real-time and automate follow-ups with first-time guests. Managers can utilize custom fields to share personalized messages, notify relevant personnel about last-minute changes in schedules and send emergency alerts.

It allows administrators to track incoming/outgoing messages, texts received per second, opt-ins or opt-outs and more to gain insight into messaging analytics. Teams can create sub-accounts under the master account to maintain hierarchies and sync information across multiple departments. Additionally, Clearstream enables professionals to organize contacts into specific groups, generate reports to analyze account activities and share service reminders with concerned authorities.

Clearstream lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications such as Planning Center, Slack, Bitly, Zapier, Mailchimp and Rock RMS. Pricing is based on monthly subscriptions and support is offered via FAQs, guides and other online measures.

Clearstream is excellent!

Working with Clearstream has been a consistently great experience. From early conversations with [sensitive content hidden] to make a plan for transitioning to their platform, to working with the Clearstream team to set up texting services, to the follow-up to my many questions and the top-tier communications and support, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a text provider. I coordinate with a lot of vendors and services, and by my standards, Clearstream is one of the best companies I have worked with.

Pros:
Clearstream is excellent. They have top customer support, a clear and effective website, well-designed user interfaces, transparency in their pricing structures, and simplicity to their services. Additionally, their best feature outside of texting services is their web chat communications that links with email and is easy to use. Communication with customers is clearly a priority for them.
Cons:
If I had to pick something, I would like to have a few more options to customize texting reports through their platform, but what they have built out is sufficient.

Reasons for choosing Clearstream

Initially, the website had a clean user interface, the services were simple to understand, and the pricing structure was very transparent. I was able to find the information I was looking for very quickly. After reaching out, it was very quickly apparent that the company had great communications and customer support.

The services promised weren't matching the services we were receiving, and we were looking for a simpler, more reliable, and more affordable option.

We use this software because it integrates with our church management software, Planning Center Online. It is proficiently easy to use with our database, especially with communication to recurring lists of people.
Cons:
Cost is high, but not necessarily higher than similar companies. Some aspects of the integration could be simplified from a user experience.

Clearstream is a WIN!

When we first introduce the software to the team, they immediately fell in love with how easy it was to navigate and understand the product. We love the fact that it filters easily and connects well with PCO by pushing it back to update or create new profiles. We love it!

It provides a simple and effective process to get people connected to our church. The price point is good and gives us what we need for the size that we are and gives us the ability to have it grow with us. I also love that support is always there to help answer any minor to major questions/concerns that we may have.
Cons:
The transfer wasn’t a smooth process as everything had to manually added. And as a portable church, we’d hope they’d have more options for tap tags functionality.

Pricing was better and had more reviews and a “versus” page on different product comparisons.

We switched over for the lower price and functionality. Everything is easy to use with for all our users.

Things we like most about Clearstream is the customer service, user friendly platform, & seeing where each subscriber belongs to in a workflow, list, or tag.
Cons:
Something we’ve experienced with a competitor that we wish we could have in Clearstream is the automatic removal of subscriber in workflow once they have been removed from its list.

Initially because one of our sister churches were using Clearstream. Overall, similar cost but better value.

Easy to quickly send out texts. You’re gonna organizational structure throughout the different areas of use are very good.
Cons:
A small learning curve. Which sometimes can be a little frustrating, but with digging and Support easy to overcome. All in all A+.

The cost - It’s a great value for our church. Also, The training video helped us easily use it right away.
Cons:
At this time, all my expectations have been met. As we use the app more extensively, we may encounter a problem.

We use servant, keeper for membership. The upgrade cost for texting was more expensive than Clearstream, for fewer texts.

I love the way it is easy to configure from beginning to end. I love scheduling text out ahead of time.
Cons:
The price point was the scariest part for us. We were on the fence but we had extra in the budget and made the jump. It has been totally worth it.

Clearstream has been a blessing as we plant our new church!

AWESOME! So grateful for the tools. Value for the cost is a no-brainer. Setup was easy and I love the image and video options in the texting tool.

Clearstream has made communication with our church congregation SO EASY! But it also has DEEPENED our connection with our church family as they are able to hear from our pastoral team more regularly and they feel like they have better access to us which is awesome!!
Cons:
Integration with planning center has not been great. We add new members to the “People” section in planning center and oftentimes they do not port over to Clearstream when we update the integration.

This service has allowed improved communication from the staff to members. Before Clearstream, we used group texting which was limiting and many members were frustrated by the group replies. This has really improved our ability to get info out in a timely manner.
Cons:
Pricing is a concern for our small church. We are on the smallest plan but still don't use all of the credits.
