About GstarCAD

GstarCAD is an engineering CAD solution that caters to businesses of all sizes in the construction industry. Key features include design export, collaboration, design analysis, property and tool palette, graphics compare, batch print and user interface customization.

GstarCAD's users can switch between various types of workspaces and customize their interface's appearance such as showing or hiding the menu bar, toolbars, file tabs and status bar. The solution also features 'Dynamic Input' that helps users by auto-completing the commands in their existing interfaces.

Additionally, GstarCAD features selection cycling, hidden message settings, viewport scale, attribute increment, DWG convert, a geometric center and support for building information modeling (BIM). GstarCAD offers its users perpetual licenses for a one-time fee that includes support via online user guides, video libraries and email.

    GstartCAD is great alternative to expansive competetion

    My friends and customers were having problems with astronomically priced CAD software (AutoCAD) and expensive subscription. They wanted some affordable solution. I tried some options and recommended GstarCAD and ZWCAD. They are happy eversince they switched to GstarCAD.It offers peace of mind knowing that you wont have to pay subscription every month or year.Users do not have any complaints. InFact most files are faster that in previous CAD software

    1. Familiar Interface2. Native handling of DWG files.3. Light of system resources4. Faster working in DWG files5. Does not clutter files. I even cleanup external DWG files with GstarCAD
    Cons:
    1. There are screen flicker issues ever 1-2 minutes or during some heavy processing.2. Some features are missing like advance VP layer functions3. Lacks of innovation4. No customer support of issues like mentioned above for graphic flickering.

    Super great software. It even works faster than Autocad. I tested their colaborative add on from www.gstarcad.uk

    Good alternative to AutoCAD

    I've used a free trial and it worked well for all but a couple of files. For a small business that doesnt primary work in CAD but sometimes needs to access DWG files - GstarCAD is a solid option.

    Offers most of the options of AutoCAD. Better than FreeCAD and other free alternative because the other software didn't open all of the files for me - Gstar did. Single non-expiring licence instead of nowadays commons subscription plan.
    Cons:
    I've had some files that unfortunately were not opened by GstarCad but were finally opened in AutoCad. It doesn't seem like common problem but was deciding factor not to purchase GstarCad.

    Copie conforme d’autocad. On trouve facilement ses repères.
    Cons:
    Support client. C’est très simple au moindre problème de licence vous devez payer. Aucune aide commerciale. On se sent volé.
