Flosum - the next big thing in deployment

Overall, it is a great experience till now. Initially our team faced some hurdles with the setup but later once we got used to the setup, it was very easy to run and deploy code using Flosum.

Cons:

The initial setup can take time, but the configuration team helped in this and the process it very fluent post that.

Pros:

Change sets used to give my team so many problems. With Flosum, we can now package the change from all of our different developer orgs and include all our various types of components in the same package. We love that filtering metadata components for deployment is so simple. Our metadata components used to overlap constantly but with Flosum we just simply include the custom object and it will deploy all the underlying objects - or if you don’t want to deploy everything you just include validation rules or custom fields. I could go on and on

I have recently upgraded to flosum as a salesforce administrator. The vendor is very helpful and communicative.

Pros:

This extension of salesforce has been a breeze to use. It provides more indepth and added features of what salesforce already provides. Plus the learning curve for this software is very minimal.

Cons:

This is a brand new software so not much trials and user acceptance tests have been performed yet. It will be exciting to see whats flaws and what improvements will need to be made in future releases.

Game Changer

Professional and highly skilled technical support for anything that has come up and the consistency of new features based on suggestions is absolutely priceless. New features with support are included in the user license so it is nice to not have to go and are calculate budgets when new functionality is released.

Pros:

Handling merge conflicts in regards to cutting out hours going back after a deployment fails one component at a time on weekends. Not once have I had to spend all night on fixing a bad release with the built in code review tools too. Custom CS team that check up on progress weekly and never allow down time.

Cons:

No real integration with Selenium but other than that no complaints.

Reasons for choosing Flosum

Security. They are 100% built in Salesforce and accomplish everything with having to touch our data.
