Best Overall Email Filtering Platform with AI

Trustifi has been one of the best email management/filtering platforms we have used. Best Value of any email filter product. Trustifi continues to impress and is always working to improve and enhance the product even further. Email encryption is great and applying DLP type rules is super simple. My team loves the ability to easily review email within the platform.

Pros:

Customer Support by far is better than any other email filter platform. We always know we can count on support to address an issue and if a feature doesn't exist that is critical to business, Trustifi has worked closely with my team to ensure those features are added. If we experience an issue that requires a patch, the Trustifi team gets a patch out quickly, providing a overall great customer experience. I have used Trustifi for years now and have used a lot of other platforms in the past and I can hands down say this is the best platform I have used to date.

Cons:

Trustifi has been fantastic, and I cannot think of a single negative. Those who do not use the platform are missing out on a great user and admin experience.

Trustifi: Enterprise-Grade Protection That Truly Delivers

As a large enterprise, our email security requirements are demanding — we needed a solution that could handle threat protection at scale, meet strict compliance requirements, encrypt sensitive client communications, and replace a previous solution that was no longer cutting it. Trustifi has exceeded expectations on all fronts. The transition from our previous platform was smoother than anticipated, and it wasn't long before the team recognized the tangible improvements in both security posture and day-to-day usability. Phishing attempts that used to slip through are now consistently caught, and our compliance team has far greater confidence knowing that sensitive emails are encrypted end-to-end without placing extra burden on staff. For an enterprise environment where email is mission-critical, Trustifi has proven to be a reliable, feature-rich partner. The minor frustrations — such as the separate inbound and outbound email trace, the learning curve during initial setup, and analytics that could go deeper — are real but pale in comparison to the value the platform delivers at scale. If you're an enterprise evaluating email security solutions, particularly one looking to consolidate threat protection, encryption, and compliance into a single platform, Trustifi is well worth serious consideration. Over the past year-plus, it has consistently delivered and then some.

After using Trustifi for over a year, I can confidently say it's one of the best investments we've made for our organization's email security. From day one, the platform impressed us across the board. Value for Money — Trustifi packs an incredible amount of functionality into a competitively priced package. Compared to other email security solutions, the ROI is clear and immediate. Customer Support — The support team is genuinely responsive and knowledgeable. Anytime we've had a question or needed guidance, they've been quick to resolve it without the runaround you get with other vendors. Ease of Use — Setup was straightforward, and the dashboard is intuitive enough that our team adopted it quickly with minimal training. It doesn't feel like enterprise software that requires a specialist to manage. Email Encryption — The encryption features are robust and seamless. Sending encrypted emails is simple for both our team and recipients, which is a huge win for compliance and client trust. Spam & Threat Filtering — The inbound threat protection is excellent. Phishing attempts and spam are caught reliably, and we've seen a dramatic reduction in malicious emails reaching our users. Overall, Trustifi has been a rock-solid solution. Whether you're a small team or a larger organization, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to seriously level up their email security.

Cons:

Occasional False Positives — The spam filter, while generally strong, does occasionally flag legitimate emails. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does require periodic check-ins on quarantined mail to make sure nothing important slips through. Reporting & Analytics — The reporting features get the job done, but power users will likely find them a bit surface-level. Deeper insights, custom reporting, and more granular analytics dashboards would make a good product even better. Initial Setup Learning Curve — Getting everything configured correctly out of the gate took more time than expected. Better onboarding documentation or a guided setup wizard would go a long way for new users. Mobile Experience — The mobile experience feels like an afterthought compared to the desktop platform. Usability on smaller screens could use meaningful improvement for teams that manage security on the go. Separate Email Trace for Inbound & Outbound — This one stands out as a genuine pain point. Having to navigate separate email trace features for inbound and outbound messages is unintuitive and adds unnecessary friction to troubleshooting. A unified trace view would be a significant quality-of-life improvement.

Reasons for choosing Trustifi

Before settling on Trustifi, we evaluated three well-known alternatives — Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, and Barracuda. Each had its merits, but none checked all the boxes the way Trustifi did. Proofpoint is a capable platform, but the pricing at enterprise scale is steep, and the encryption functionality didn't match the depth and seamlessness we were looking for. For the cost, we expected more. Microsoft Defender was a natural consideration given our existing Microsoft ecosystem, but it fell short as a standalone email security solution. Threat detection felt adequate rather than exceptional, and the encryption capabilities were limited compared to what Trustifi brings to the table. Barracuda was competitive on price but couldn't match Trustifi's feature set comprehensively. The platform felt more fragmented, requiring additional tools to cover gaps that Trustifi handles natively. Trustifi stood out by offering a more complete, integrated solution — stronger threat detection, purpose-built encryption, a broader feature set, and better value for money than any of the three alternatives. It wasn't a difficult final decision.

Reasons for switching to Trustifi

We were Mimecast customers before making the move to Trustifi, and the decision came down to three core issues: cost, encryption, and threat detection. Mimecast's pricing had become difficult to justify, especially as our enterprise grew and licensing costs scaled up without a proportional improvement in value. On top of that, the encryption capabilities felt bolted on rather than built in — not ideal for an organization with serious compliance obligations around sensitive client communications. The final straw was threat detection. We were seeing too many threats slip through, which undermined the whole point of having an email security platform in the first place. When your frontline defense starts missing too many threats, it's time to move on. Switching to Trustifi addressed all three pain points. The pricing is more transparent and competitive at enterprise scale, the encryption is seamless and genuinely built into the core product, and the threat detection has been noticeably more reliable. Looking back, the switch was an easy call — and one we wished we'd made sooner.

Good spam firewall with ease of use.

It has taken me some time to get on the Trustifi wagon; however, I am now a fan of the product and once I was accustomed to the interface I am convinced it is a solid spam firewall. Like any other product, the end user is the last line of defense, but Trustifi does help with overall protection.

Working with the team at Trustifi is very easy. They are quick to respond to questions and available without going through layers of communication to get an answer.

Cons:

We do get a lot of mail quarantined, which does take some time to review when needed, however this has also helped to prevent attacks.

My experience with Trustifi has been outstanding. Compared to Barracuda, the transition and implementation have been noticeably smoother, making it easier to get up and running without disruption. The platform’s reliability has earned my full confidence, allowing me to shift focus to other critical projects without worrying about email security. Cons:

The only issue my organization has faced is the encrypted emails appear spam-like which sometimes causes the recipient to not open the email.

Technical Support was severely lacking the knowledge of their own product. Their email protection is very limited unless you add on their other programs which raising the cost significantly. System was difficult to maintain and did not have any rule creation control that Trustifi offers.

Trustifi delivers a powerful email security platform with excellent visibility and control across inbound and outbound traffic. The DLP and encryption features are sophisticated and easy to configure. Link rewriting, outbound rules, and flexible policy management make it ideal for regulated industries. The quarantine and digest options are polished, and the insights reporting provides great visibility into message flow and threats. Their onboarding and support teams are fantastic—responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive. New features are released frequently, showing a strong commitment to improving the product.

Cons:

The admin interface has many advanced options, which can be a little overwhelming for new administrators until they learn where everything is. Minor UI layout tweaks might make navigation smoother.

Threat Analysis is a total breeze. All of the information about a questionable email is visible on a single page with optional drilldowns into various areas. This a very snappy and admin friendly UI. I love the fact that most spam control resides entirely with the user but we can easily see and tweak both the global filters and user set mailbox filters.

Cons:

I think the AI engine (BEC) could be better at contextual language analysis. This was the original reason for moving to Trustifi. Configuring with Google Enterprise was a little complicated however once we got the tweaking done it worked well.

Amazing product and service, the BEST out there

Defenately the best service out there, even when compared to Barracuda or other email firewalls. The features, service, and support are unmatched, for real.

Portal is very easy to use and very powerful. A lot of awesome tools and features to use, also great customer service - they always respond quickly and personally. Never generic automated how-to guides or anything irrelivant.

Cons:

The only think negative I can say, isn't even a Trustify issue - it's when there's a 3rd party issue with someone they rely on - like Amazon Web Services or Cloudflair, their service might get inturruped briefly.

Trustifi: Turning ‘Email Security Headaches’ into ‘Set It and Forget It’

My overall experience with Trustifi has been excellent,the platform is reliable, easy to use, and delivers strong email protection without many hiccups (most have been user error). I’m extremely happy with the product and how seamlessly it integrates into our workflow.

Very user-friendly and easy deployment, integrates well with Outlook/Gmail, doesn’t force recipients to register, and quarantine is easy to navigate!

Cons:

Occasionally legitimate emails are flagged as spam , which requires manual review and adjustment. However, as we continue to use the platform we are able to fine tune this, so not much of a con as this will happen with any email filter. :)

What I like most about Trustifi is the clear email validation and detailed explanations in the Quarantine tab—it’s unique and easy to understand, even for non-IT users, making email evaluation quick and simple.

Cons:

The platform integrates easily with both O365 and G Suite, providing effective email protection. The console is user-friendly, making configuration and maintenance simple, with helpful guidance available for all settings.
