    THE Collaborative Design Tool

    5

Figma has become an essential tool in my design workflow. It streamlines collaboration, feedback, and prototyping in a single platform, making design-to-development handoff smoother and more efficient.

    Pros:
Figma’s real-time collaboration is unmatched; it allows multiple designers, developers, and stakeholders to work together seamlessly. The intuitive interface, component system, and auto-layout make design workflows fast, scalable, and consistent.
    Cons:
Performance can slow down with large or complex files, especially when there are many contributors. Offline functionality is also limited, which can be frustrating when working without internet access.

    Reasons for choosing Figma

Figma stood out for its cloud-based collaboration and ease of use — no need for file syncing or version confusion. Unlike Sketch or Adobe XD, it works seamlessly across operating systems and allows teams to co-edit designs in real time. The built-in prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff tools made it a complete end-to-end solution.

Figma is the best tool for interface design

    5

I have used Figma from the beginning in my everyday work as a UI/UX designer. It is intuitive, it has everything you need for the interface design process, and they always surprise us with some new tools and functions. I want to emphasize the function of teamwork and collaboration there, you can work with your team on the same document in online mode, leave comments, and make changes right there. You can create components and whole libraries/UI kits for your projects and share them with your team. This function is highly important, especially when your team creates a huge interface with many screens. It is absolutely worth the money; the pricing is fair. Also, there is a free version if you want to try it out or use it only for personal projects. It is perfect for interfaces, prototypes, and wireframes. With a new function, 'FigJam', it works for brainstorms, mind maps (very useful), and other projects when you need to create a structure or a user journey map, for example. I love the 'prototyping' function; it can be used for live prototypes, for navigation tests between the screens, or even to present your product to the client. Your projects are stored online, and I didn't have any problem with it, but maybe you should consider having backups sometimes. Actually, I didn't have any issues at all during my work on Figma, so I've never had to contact support. Each Figma update comes with new features or subtle interface changes. I use it for digital products and for some print projects, because there is no more comfortable product for a clean design, interface design. But, for more advanced drawings, designs, or professional photo editing, I use other products. There is a community option, where you can find mock-ups, icons, and other digital assets for your products. Also, there are many useful plug-ins, for example, for finding icons, stock images, or lorem ipsum texts and putting them into your interface. The plug-in library is huge, and it is always updating, such like the community. For developers, there is an option to convert your design directly to code. Of course, the app doesn't do all the work for you, but this function might be helpful. Also, there is an app called 'Figma Mirror', where you can see what your interface looks like on your phone in online mode. This is so useful. Figma is my digital workspace, I'm happy with it, and I have all my projects there. I totally recommend it, and I'm planning to continue working there.

    Pros:
The best interface is when you forget about the interface. Figma was made by designers for designers. You can concentrate on the design fully, and there are plenty of tools in Figma for it.
    Cons:
Figma is primarily a tool for web design/interface design and other digital design products. If you want to use it for print design, you may find some difficulties: there is no CMYK profile there and there is no export option in 300 dpi (but you can use some tricks for it or a plugin). The new draw tool is pretty nice, but the brush settings are limited compared with other software. You need an internet connection when you work there; sometimes it might be limiting.

    Reasons for switching to Figma

It was a natural switch; the company where I worked made this decision.

No. I really don't think you understand.

    5

You have to understand something. I'm not writing this review as a casual user. I've used Adobe Illustrator for over 30 years. 3DS Max, Maya, Adobe Photoshop, for 25. I've fought and battled and used and trained in Indesign, Obdisian, Notion, MS Word, Excel, MindGenius, XMind, Softmaker, even PureRef, and a dozen other so called "tools" until I was blue in the face. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing, has ever given me what Figma just gave to me. I get it. You think Figma is a design too. Figma is not a design tool. Use Illustrator for that. It is a visual Neural Engine. A brain landscape forge. It's not for "UI." It's not for "web mockups" or "a schedule." It sure to hell isn't for a "Logo" or something trivial. It is for Life. For cognition. For building....anything created out of ideas. It's for people who need to SEE ABSTRACTION. To map cognition. It's for people to build frameworks for their own internal operating system. In 72 hours, using FIGMA I Built: The Vocabulary Codex: dozens of words, categorized by emotional payload, rhetorical deployment, and etymological ancestry. The Anti-Capitalist Argument Galaxy: a logic universe of rebuttals, steelmen, fallacies, evidence, and quote traps. The Holy Grail Journal: a scrollable, zoomable, nested frame daily log system with layers for memory, mood, purpose, philosophy. And my own structured visual education platform with metaphysics on one side, and programming logic on the other. I'm working on mapping every argument I've ever thought of, in the form of visual abstraction, so I can SEE entire LANDSCAPES of thought. I'm working on a journal that will expand through thousands of days, day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year, and scalable for the rest of my life. No "webpage" or "outliner" or "Notepad" can do that. No. It's not for "making a website." You CAN do that. But that's like using a Ferrari to get to your maibox. Figma is now, quite possibly, the greatest piece of software I've ever used. And don't...please don't be fooled by the initial simplicity. Because it is IN that simplicity that you are allowed such speed, snappiness, and versatility in letting your mind create entire scaffolds of thought and planning and organization and ideation.

    Pros:
The infinite landscape and canvas allowing you to create entire galaxies of thought, ideas, and organization in one massive visual symphony. And for $16 a month? Cheaper than Subway I get a Neural Nuclear Reactor. Figma just replaced about 20 pieces of software I'll never need again.
    Cons:
Nothing. Literally nothing. I suppose the initial simplification might suggest that it is far more limited in it's capabilities than it really is. And that is sadly deceiving. Because it's core functionality doesn't lie in a few toolbars. It lies in the scalable landscape of thought and abstraction that you can create with just those simple tools. What looks like a stripped-down UI…is actually a portal to an entire cognitive dimension. It's power lies in what you can build. Not in what you can click. Think about this. Everything you've ever seen in your life is ultimately made out of two things: electrons and quarks. Figma is the electron and the quark. It is the fundamental substrate of visual logic. A base layer for conception itself. A lattice upon which entire internal universes can be built. So if there’s a “con”? It’s that you might underestimate it until it rewires your brain and becomes your second mind.

    Reasons for switching to Figma

Because its infinite canvas feature changes the conception of how you can organize thought.

    Pros:
It's well-known in the industry, which means that members of our team had used it before - decreasing the learning curve and the time that can add to the workflow. Overall, it feels easy to use, great for people without a lot of experience in UX design, has a free tier with paid add-ons, and pre-built design kits. I'd use it again.
    Cons:
I feel like it's a bit clunky to use at times, and I wish it were a bit more visually friendly (more color contrast for example). Sometimes I struggled to understand the flow of what other users on my team were thinking, and I belueve this is something Figma could improve upon: helping display a timeline or flowchart of how to click through a wireframe or some sort of direction that shows what all members of a team are thinking. It would get everyone on the same page easier and cut down on meeting times.

    Reasons for switching to Figma

My company preferred Figma, and I think it's generally regarded as more professional in terms of the tech world.
