About Axonius

Axonius is an information technology asset management (ITAM) solution designed to assist small to large enterprises with monitoring inventory of software and hardware assets. It enables users to automatically validate security enforcement policies and manage compliance across all devices.

Axonius comes with various vulnerability assessment tools, which lets users scan devices for bugs and fix them. It helps businesses identify coverage gaps in security by creating custom queries, improving asset lifecycle. Additionally, it enables businesses to automatically perform triggered actions such as blocking devices in firewall and managing active directory services.

Axonius can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud. It facilitates integration with third-party applications such as Aruba, Alibaba Cloud, enSolio, IBM Bigfix, NetBox and more. Pricing is available on request and support is extended through phone, email and other online measures.

    It was a perfect fit for us to complete our CIS control for asset management. For about 2 years we were trying various tools to complete an accurate inventory for our hardware and software assets and comply with CIS security control 1 and 2. We have tons of information about our assets in other tools but they lacked a way to accurately report on them. Then there wasn't an easy way to reconcile which tool was accurate. It doesn't look good when you run a report and get different counts from the various tools. Axonius with the API adapters brought all the information together in one view. Now we can filter on information from each adapter and reconcile which assets are missing from each tool. Its such a simple idea but has been a game changer for us.

    Pros:
    The software was simple to install and setup. We were collecting data in under an hour. There are a ton adapters. We use 12 of them to collect information from everything from Active Directory, Rapid 7, ESX V-centers, antivirus, SCCM, etc. Its simple to create and save queries to reconcile assets. We have recently started using the enforcement center to take action on assets. We can run scripts based on information collected from other adapters. You could do this in the individual tool but as Axonius can see information from all connected tools we can use this come up with some creative tasks.
    Cons:
    The user GUI is modern. You can create your own metrics for a query. Currently there is no way to organize the metric cards as they are sorted on order of creation.

    Great tool with multiple uses

    Aggregates data on existing assets and user accounts which is part of what a SIEM does. Validate issues with endpoints from multiple sources. Track activity on certain servers/endpoints and run reports that help us determined the Risk Impact by asset/ person.

    Inventory is number 1 (through 5) CIS top 20 most important item on the list. This software solution allows you to aggregate csv reports, uses API calls to different data sources. You can aggregate data for endpoints, servers and people. For example, I get information from our Active Directory, Vulnerability Scanner and Antivirus in one report. We were able to run a report on last seen devices with antivirus installed - we realized that some clients had a misconfiguration issue.
    Cons:
    Nothing to dislike, I just wish I knew about it 4 years ago, would've saved me a lot of time on excel processing.
