About Preno
Preno is a cloud-based hotel management solution that offers booking management, channel management, accounting and reporting functionalities within a suite. The product caters to independent hotels, hotel chains, timeshares, bed and breakfasts, motels and more.
Preno features front-desk management, which allows users to manage hotel bookings, check-ins, check-outs, payments and bills. Back office management functionalities include rates management, agent commissions, housekeeping and channel management. With the help of the channel manager module, users can manage bookings from third-party hotel booking websites such as Expedia, Booking.com and Agoda.
Preno offers Xero integration which allows users to manage invoices, agent commissions and payments, deposits and bank reconciliations. The product also integrates with Kounta POS, which pulls payment data automatically from the point-of-sale system and allows hotel staff to bill services and products directly to hotel rooms. Users can also prepare accounting reports.

Hi Amy, I think there were some unique issues in your handover from your previous management that proved challenging at the start. I think we did not give you enough training during this hand over too, but we know what it's like, it's a busy time. We are different in how we leverage specialised apps like Xero and channel managers. This is what provides the time savings to so many of our users. Local/ NZ, more intuitive, cost effective ( not a commission based plan), great sales team, 24/7 support.
Reasons for switching to Preno
We were looking for a system that was more intuitive and not so 'clunky', and something that integrated with XERO. Also the level of service from SEEKOM dropped when the company was sold to an International company and they wanted to move us to a more expensive commission based plan. We were also waiting on the new design booking engine but were not offered it. A bit of a case of so busy working on getting new customers and forgetting about your existing customers. The fact that SEEKOM was no longer an NZ company too had a bearing on our decision and one of the reasons we went for PRENO and STAAH

They didn't link directly to Luxury Escapes (which siteminder does) and we always had difficulty adding services. We miss the booking calander on our website (we now use siteminder and it's rubbish). We also miss being able to send a credit card like in an email to guests who have called or emailed.
