About emPerform

emPerform is a hybrid employee performance management solution that helps organizations to automate performance reviews and align, develop and retain talent. It can be deployed either on-premise or in the cloud. The tool helps users streamline core talent management operations, from online appraisals to goal management, 360 degree feedback, succession planning, competency development, pay for performance and analytics.

The features included in emPerform are configurable, allowing users to adjust the layout, language, rating scales and workflows. The solution integrates with other applications including a business's HRIS, LMS and/or payroll solution. emPerform includes a library of competency-based appraisal templates that businesses can choose from.

emPerform tag feature is built into the solution, letting employees and managers send feedback and archive performance notes year-round. These tags are accessible within performance appraisals, giving managers the feedback they need for performance assessments. Support is offered via phone, email and through an online knowledge base.

Pros:
Customer Service is phenomenal. CSRs and team work very hard to make sure we are taken care of. I have an immediate response from Lonnie. They are amazing. They have spoiled me to where I hold other software companies to this standard.
Cons:
I can't think of one thing I do not like about the software. Fantastic software and customer service!

Very user friendly, our representative is very fast at responding and super helpful! Anytime we need assistance we can usually have a call scheduled within that week! She has also sent clips on how to make changes ourselves in the back end which have proven to be extremely helpful!

It is very user friendly! We have changed the workflow of our Employee Reviews with the help of this system. Making them easier for both the Employee and Managers.
Cons:
So far the only thing our teams have a hard time with is within our Reviews the section we created for job goals cannot carry over into the next quarters review, you must copy it yourself and add new each time.

Reasons for switching to emPerform

They were not easy to navigate. You have to have a separate review for the manager and employee which made it difficult to know which you were in.

It was excellent, and exactly what we needed to level-up our performance evaluation process. Leaders loved having everything in one place, and the ability to save notes throughout the year, and also send notes to other leaders about other staff.

The emPerform system is completely customizable. We were able to create multiple workflows and templates for the various employee groups. Tracking performance documentation in one place, and not by-email, was great.
Cons:
The system is completely customizable, but there is a lot to learn about managing the back-end of the system. Depending on how the workflow is built, there are limitations to what the system auto-activates, and what must be managed manually.

emPerform has not only solved our problem of cumbersome performance reviews, but completely challenged our approach to performance management in general. We have been guided through a full re-do of our annual cycle and have received valuable, experienced advice from people who have been in this industry for years. The software is easy to use, easy to setup, fully customizable and aesthetically pleasing. The 'tag' system, and the ability to incorporate these notes into the formal reviews is a favourite feature.
Cons:
Although using libraries for tracking responses is really useful, the downside is that you can only have one library within a section. We were hoping to just have one form with all the sections and questions within one page - but in order to track and pull data from responses we need more than one evaluation area for one formal review. We were, however, supported in working around this effectively. During the demos, we thought the view/user-ability of emPerform was less impressive than other software, however the customization of it seems to be superior.

The back end is very comprehensive, which is a good thing, but it does take some time to become familiar with.

Working with the consultants makes it easy to get the system to create the end user experience that I want. The consultant is the best part! I describe or design what I want to happen and the teach me to use the system to make it work.
Cons:
There are functions that I want that don't exist. I appreciate that my consultant adds them to the developer list but I may not ever see them. Specifically the ability for users to copy over individual goals from previous forms and the ability to modify on demand forms.

emPerform looks okay at first glance, but it is actually very glitchy and non-functional.

I like the look of emPerform. They were able to customize the homepage with our company logo and colors.
Cons:
- The software has a lot of glitches. Performance reviews get "stuck" in different stages and the admin has to move the review along. This causes some approvals to get deleted and the process has to restart. - The interface is very limited and staff doesn't really use it throughout the year, only during review time. - Customer service is in Candada and they are hard to reach.

We are not able to change how your users approach performance management but again, we will reach out to see if there is anything we can adjust with your emPerform to help.
