About Hireflix

Hireflix is an online one-way video interviewing platform that allows recruiters and candidates to streamline the interview experience. Candidates have the flexibility of completing interviews from any time, anywhere by recording their responses to the pre-recorded questions. With Hireflix, businesses can avoid the rigidness and tediousness of scheduled interviews.

Hireflix enables recruiters to add recorded company/job intros and interview questions using a built-in interview builder. Interviews and reminders can be sent via SMS and email using customizable templates. All interviews can be tracked by job type and recruiters are automatically notified when an interview has been completed. When an interview has been submitted, recruiters are able to review and rate the submitted responses to narrow top applicants.

Hireflix integrates with third-party platforms such as Slack, Zapier, Greenhouse, and Workable. Hireflix also provides email, chat, and phone support for any interview scenario.

Find the best candidates, not the best LLM prompters

I used Hireflix to help shortlist Cambridge University students for a programme that I am running. It was straightforward for me to use and it was equally simple for the applicants to leave their responses. It turned what might have been a nightmare into something that was a pleasure to use. Look forward to using it again and again.

Pros:

It was amazing simple to use but hugely effective. In a world where the risk of applicant answers being generated from LLMs, this was a great way to really understand the people and personalities behind the answers and allow the best applicants to shine.

Cons:

My single biggest regret was not knowing about Hireflix before. It provided me massive comfort that I was selecting the best applicants rather than applicants who were most creative around LLMs.

- Save lot of time and money for the company. - We have recorded videos once and we have interviewed hundreds of candidates. - The candidate can make the interview when he/she is more relaxed. Async interviews.

Cons:

- It is not real-time so you lose the opportunity to interact with the candidate.

really nice & easy to use - was able to ask my top 25 applicants to send in videos interviews - I really like the way I could tailor the task: intro video (from me), followed by specific interview questions and I could choose how long the thinking time was and how many takes to allow

Cons:

can't think of anything - the platform was easy to use and did the job brilliantly - even telling me if the appplicants had received/opened my email, and where they had filmed themselves from (super useful!)

Reasons for switching to Hireflix

I had previously used willo and I noticed that it no longer allowed me to self-set-up an account, I had to get in touch with their team for a demo. As a tiny start up, this felt to me like too much of an efforto and a "Big sell"

Hireflix has been a game changer for our company and for our recruits. It gives us the ability to add that human element earlier in the hiring process on both sides. The system is easy to use for both my staff and applicants.

Cons:

I do not have any complaints. The system is flexible enough that I can use it however I would like.

HireFlix was exactly what we needed.

Pre-qualifying candidates made easy with genuine video responses

Overall, Hireflix has helped us cut a huge amount of time out of the early recruitment process while improving the quality of our shortlist. Instead of scheduling dozens of first-round calls, we send a single Hireflix link, review the responses, and only invite the best candidates to a live interview. The video responses give us a much more authentic feel for each person than reading through AI-polished CVs and cover letters. It has become a core part of how we hire and I’d struggle to go back to the old way of doing first-round interviews.

Hireflix makes it incredibly easy to pre-qualify a large number of candidates without drowning in CVs and emails. The one-way video format lets us see how people communicate, think on their feet, and present themselves, so it feels far more genuine than text answers in a world full of AI-generated applications. I also like that everyone answers the same set of questions, which makes it much easier to compare candidates fairly and build a strong shortlist quickly. Being able to review videos in my own time and share them with colleagues has made our early-stage screening much faster and more consistent.

Cons:

Nothing bad to say about the software, its great. On the other side of things, some candidates are still nervous about video, so a few good people don’t always show their best side in this format. Make sure to have calm intro videos to set the tone.

Very efficient for screening candidates and streamlining the hiring process

Overall, a very positive experience. Hireflix makes the screening stage much more efficient and helps streamline the hiring process for employers, while still keeping a human touch. It’s a practical, well-designed tool that fits easily into everyday recruiting workflows.

How easy it is to use for both recruiters and candidates. Asynchronous video interviews save a lot of time and give candidates the flexibility to answer when it works best for them. The platform is very intuitive and doesn’t require much explanation.

Cons:

There’s not much to dislike. At first, it can take a bit of getting used to if you’re coming from traditional interviews, but once you try it, it makes total sense.
