About Zoho People

Zoho People is a cloud-based human resource (HR) solution suitable for business of all sizes. The system features leave management, attendance management, time tracker, employee self-service, form customization and more. The solution's leave management feature allows organizations to customize leave types and employees can apply for leave online. Organizations can have a centralized view of all the employee information by leave type, location, role and experience level.

Zoho People allows users to create custom modules by adding forms and tabs based on needs. It offers the drag-and-drop functionality. The employee self-service feature allows employees to access, update and modify records as per the organizational compliance. The file cabinet feature helps HR staff store and share HR and company-related documents.

Zoho People’s live feed notify employees about changes of policy and other notifications. Pricing is per employee on a monthly subscription basis. Support is offered via knowledge base and phone.

Cons:

• UI feels slightly outdated in some modules • Mobile app needs performance improvements • Reporting customization is limited • Initial setup takes time • Notifications/email triggers can be inconsistent

Reasons for switching to Zoho People

we did not have all features to use in greytHR, and we are using ZOHO workplace which easily integrates with HRMS also

My thoughts on Zoho

It was average. I'd like for it to be an easier onboarding process but there's a learning curve. Overall it was smooth once I figured it out.

I like how we can set up teams across the projects and track the teams work across various projects.

Cons:

It was a bit confusing initially. Time logs must roll up to timesheets and then projects vs jobs. We messed up the configuration a couple times.

Reasons for switching to Zoho People

Quickbooks is very expensive for their products.

zoho payroll

yes its still the same our organization has not changed from zoho payroll which means still its at its best

though many tools sofware come and go our organization is still sticking with the zoho people for payroll activities

Cons:

mobile view is bit tricky , because when you open the same url from the mobile the mobile view is not easy to view

Zoho People offers a wide range of HR features in a single platform, including leave management, attendance tracking, employee records, and basic performance management. The system is highly customizable, which makes it suitable for different company policies and workflows. Cons:

The user interface can feel overwhelming at first due to the number of features and configuration options. Initial setup requires time and planning, particularly for organizations new to HR systems. Some advanced features are locked behind higher tier plans, which may limit functionality for very small teams. Reporting could also be more intuitive without additional customization.

Reasons for switching to Zoho People

We switched from hr.my because the user interface was limiting and the platform lacked the level of integration we required. Zoho People offers a more intuitive experience and integrates seamlessly with other business tools, which allows for better workflow automation and improved operational efficiency.

Simple, Reliable, and Effective HR Solution

Overall, our experience with Zoho People has been very positive. It has helped us move away from manual HR processes and spreadsheets and shift to a more structured and organized system. Daily HR tasks are now faster, more accurate, and much easier to manage. It has improved transparency, reduced errors, and saved a lot of administrative time. We are very satisfied with the system and would confidently recommend Zoho People to organizations looking for a reliable and easy-to-use HR solution.

Pros:

What I like most about Zoho People is how simple yet powerful it is. It has made our HR work much easier by bringing everything into one place — attendance, leave, employee records, approvals, and reports. The system is very flexible, and we were able to customize it based on our internal processes, which was a big plus. The interface is clean and easy to understand, even for staff who are not very tech-savvy. Integration with other Zoho products is smooth, which helps us manage operations more efficiently. Their customer support team is also responsive and supportive whenever we need help.

Cons:

The initial setup takes some time, especially when you want to customize workflows properly. There is also a small learning curve at the beginning, but once the team gets used to it, everything becomes smooth. Other than that, we haven’t faced any major issues.

Pros:

Zoho People created a unified portal where employees could raise questions about payroll, travel, or policies. HR could set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure queries were answered within a specific timeframe. IT could attach FAQs to specific categories so employees could find answers themselves before even submitting a "case." The Service Builder allowed for a "drag-and-drop" approach to HR.

Cons:

Unless We are on a premium support plan, getting a resolution for an urgent bug can take 24–48 hours, often involving a lot of back-and-forth emails. Users often report that support agents provide "canned" responses or links to documentation rather than digging into the specific technical glitch you’re experiencing.

Best payroll software in the city!

My overall experience with Zoho People has been very positive. The platform is user-friendly, well-structured, and makes HR processes like employee management, attendance, and leave tracking easy to understand and use. I particularly liked the clean interface and how smoothly different HR modules are integrated. However, since the trial period limits access to some advanced features, I feel additional time would help in exploring its full capabilities and assessing how well it can support our complete HR needs.

Very comprehensive and automatically communicates to the various other Zoho HR software, including Recruit, Payroll, Expense and many others

Cons:

One of the things I liked least about Zoho People during the trial was that some advanced features and customization options are limited in the trial version. Because of this, it was a bit difficult to fully explore how the platform would fit into our complete workflow and long-term requirements. With more time or access to the full features, it would be easier to evaluate its full potential and make a confident decision.

Pros:

The easier to use and the activities we can handle using the platform. We have created a virtual copy of our office team asset and now handle the team it's become too easy.

Cons:

Till now we didn't find any specified issue. Everything seems quickly and easy to be used. Well done for now
