About MyFlexLearning

MyFlexLearning is a flexible scheduling tool for K-12 schools to manage their flex blocks. Schools use this time to offer RTI, tutoring, meetings and student enrichment.

Teachers and students can communicate directly through in-app messaging and everyone knows where they are supposed to be. Students are empowered to schedule themselves. Teachers can create their own offerings and manage rosters. Administrators can hold everyone accountable by clearly seeing how people are spending this time.

5 Years with MyFlexLearning

I recommend MyFlexLearning to any school without reservation. This is our 5th year working together and we look forward to many more.

Pros:

MyFlexLearning is one of the best platforms I've used as an administrator. The ease of use and school management are key strengths. Above all, the customer support is top-notch, with questions or needs almost always resolved in under 24 hours. The team at MFL will Zoom with you to understand the problem they are supporting you with and work to develop the right solution for the context.

Cons:

I have no concerns with MyFlexLearning-- this is not me being nice; it is that they resolve any challenge I have almost always within the same school day. I hope they expand their product to contain more features so that we can rely more on MFL stead of our SIS/other platforms.

Pros:

When we found MyFlex Learning, we were thrilled with how closely it aligned with our needs. It was like it had been designed for our program. It allows for teachers to schedule their own classes, track attendance for both their advisory students and their core content class students, and have the flexibility necessary to meet widely varied needs. There are also helpful reports to allow for accountability and tracking.

Cons:

At first, not every flow is intuitive. I get more knowledgeable every day with the system, however.

MyFlex came along at the exact right time and was ideally suited to our program.

Easy to use for teachers and students

It’s been pretty positive so far! I like the integration with Aspen, and it has been pretty easy to roll out with students.

Works well once you understand the quirks of the system, easy to maintain with students

Cons:

Some of the work flow is unintuitive and can allow colleagues to “mess up” a larger system

Oh, it was pretty terrible and left a handful of people doing hours and hours of scheduling every couple of months.

Nauset loves MyFlex Learning!

Switching to MyFlex Learning this year has been a total gamechanger. Admin, staff, and students have all had positive experiences. [sensitive content hidden] went above and beyond last spring to allow us to do a pilot and made customized videos for our staff training.

Pros:

User-friendly, versatile, customizable, and amazing customer service. It has made scheduling our flex time (Nauset Time) a breeze and we have now expanded to also using it to schedule before and after school activities such as extra help, sports and clubs.

Cons:

We can't print a report or see a screen that shows where our homeroom students are scheduled for the week. (This would be great for subs, etc.)

Too difficult to navigate/schedule for teachers.

It is so flexible and if the system doesn't do what you would like they work to make the platform work for you.

Cons:

Nothing that I can think of. Each time we need help in understanding the platform or an issue we get an immediate response that day.

As the name implies...it's flexible. What sets MyFlex apart from the WIN scheduling software we used in the past is there customer support and willingness to implement new features based on our needs.

Cons:

We're having a little trouble dealing w/ situations where we offer classes that encompass our full-block of WIN time (ours is split in half). Right now, kids can only schedule for Block A or Block B of our period- we need a way for them to schedule to a class that encompasses both blocks.

MyFlex is the best!

WHS loves it and we are always anxious to try new features. We find MyFlex's customer service to be the absolute best we have worked with in education. They are responsive and helpful and solve issue in a timely manner.

Pros:

It allows our students and staff to have flexibility in scheduling not only during our flex block but during our study halls too. Students and staff can do what they need to do and we, as administration, feel that MyFlex has really increased student accountability and safety by providing a platform where we can allow for flexibility while still tracking whereabouts.

Cons:

As an administrator, it can be tedious to toggle between my administrative role to my teacher role to manage events and opportunities. I would like to be able to stay in administrator mode and also be able to create classes.

One of the Best Companies to Work With!

I cannot recommend this software or this team enough. Once you wrap your head around how your school's flex time model, they will go out of their way to ensure it can adapt to your needs.

Pros:

The ease of use and the effectiveness of the software makes our flex time program an extremely worthwhile initiative for both our students and staff. When you do find a process that you do not understand, customer support is available in a click of a button to schedule a meeting and often add features to their program so that it works for us!

Cons:

My only frustration is that we cannot utilize the "apply course grade priority" feature when determining where students should go for support because of gradebook choice we made as a district.

It allows us to track our students throughout the day and the academic help they receive.

Cons:

How it does not sync with ASPEN and does not allow our student attendance to be completely accurate throughout the school day.
