GetResponse Fuels Data-Driven Marketing Decisions

4

It has an accessible interface that makes it easy for a single person to set up and monitor multiple campaigns at once. The analytics dashboard gives immediate feedback on campaign performance with ease. One thing that I have found the autoresponder function most helpful for was nurturing leads with the delivery of targeted content. The learning process was pretty smooth, while there was a brief adjustment period to make most features, but the comprehensive knowledge base and the responsiveness of customer support helped.

Pros:
GetResponse's email marketing analytics exceed basic open and click rates. Advanced segmentation capabilities allow junior managers to drill down into particular subscriber behaviors, lending itself to hyper targeted campaign optimization. This level of granularity in campaign analysis is a new feature that most other platforms don’t offer.
Cons:
If you need real data regarding a platform’s A/B testing tool, then it is quite useful; however, it has fewer variables to test than subject lines and content variations. The best thing about GetResponse was the more advanced segmentation tools and even in the analytics report.

Reasons for switching to GetResponse

GetResponse offers more advanced automation capabilities, which make it better suited to manage our emails, and so instead we switched from Mailchimp to GetResponse. Initially, Mailchimp worked for us, but as our marketing strategies grew more complex, we hit a wall in their usability; we required a solution that could configure complex multistep behaviorally based email sequences.

Vendor Response

Hi Sasha, Thanks for this fantastic detailed review! Really appreciate you breaking down how our analytics and segmentation tools are working for you. Love hearing that you found the switch from Mailchimp worthwhile for your complex automation needs. Keep crushing those email campaigns - sounds like you're really making the most of our platform! Best, Mariana

Pros:
GetResponse by far is the most user friendly platform I've found for email marketing and I've tried several. It's perfect software for a beginner. If you want basic or full automation, you're covered. Great customer service and several beautiful templates to choose from.
Cons:
In truth, I've not found anything that I don't like. Even the free version allows for click tracking which is rare.

Reasons for switching to GetResponse

When SendinBlue changed to Brevo, so did all of their rules and navigational abilities. I'm not as comfortable with them anymore.

Pros:
GetResponse offers a good amount of features for what you pay. Landing pages and email marketing are easy to use and design. Segmenting contacts and the use of sign up sheets really helps keep things organized as well as automatic emails for sign ups. For small businesses or independent creatives, GetReponse would offer good value for your budget. There is a bit of a learning curve but is easy once you get the hang of it.
Cons:
I wish GetResponse would offer more elements for both email and landing page designs for more flexibility in design. It sometimes will take longer amounts of time to implement a design I want due to having to play around with different features and sizes to get the look I want. More templates would be helpful as well.

Reasons for choosing GetResponse

Cheaper.

Overall, I like the features and opportunities it has. For my needs, it is, however, a bit too confusing to use. And the support could definitely need an upgrade. GetResponse FAQs

  • What does GetResponse cost per month?

GetResponse offers three main plans: Starter begins at €13.12 monthly (annual billing) for 1,000 contacts with email marketing, AI tools, and one automation workflow. Marketer starts at €44.28 monthly with unlimited automation and landing pages. Creator costs €50.84 monthly and adds webinars plus course creation. An Enterprise plan with custom pricing includes SMS marketing and advanced features.

  • Does GetResponse include landing page creation?

Yes, GetResponse includes unlimited landing page creation across all paid plans. The platform offers over 190 responsive templates plus an AI-powered builder that creates personalized pages based on your answers to setup questions. You can customize colors, themes, add widgets such as forms and chat boxes, and integrate pages directly with your email campaigns and webinars for seamless lead capture and conversion tracking.

  • How does GetResponse compare to Mailchimp for automation?

GetResponse offers more advanced automation capabilities than Mailchimp, with visual workflow builders and behavioral triggers for complex multi-step sequences. While Mailchimp focuses on simple email broadcasting, GetResponse includes features such as lead scoring, conversion funnels, and webinar automation in lower-tier plans. Many businesses migrate from Mailchimp to GetResponse when they need sophisticated automation without the higher costs of enterprise platforms.

  • Can GetResponse handle webinars and online events?

GetResponse includes webinar hosting starting with the Creator plan at €50.84 monthly, supporting up to 100 participants with unlimited events. The platform provides registration pages, automated email reminders, interactive features during broadcasts, and follow-up sequences for attendees and non-attendees. You can also create webinar funnels that automatically nurture leads based on attendance and engagement levels throughout your events.

  • What integrations work with GetResponse?

GetResponse connects with over 2,000 applications through Zapier, plus direct integrations with major eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce. Popular integrations include Google Analytics, PayPal, Stripe for payments, WordPress for website forms, and social media platforms for ad campaign tracking. The platform also offers API access for custom integrations and data synchronization with CRM systems and other business tools.
