Good software for insurance practice

We had it for a year. It worked well. Chart notes were fantastic, digital paperwork was great. But fell short in a few of the areas we needed.

Task manager and the checks and balances for the program for staff.

Cons:

It was not a cash practice friendly software it is made more for a practice that take insurance. Ledger hard to read would have been nice to have red and green number for credit and balances.

Genesis - The Foundation of our Clinic Engine

Great, communicative and integrated team who are really striving to see us succeed. The Genesis is always advancing and modifying to stay ahead of the needs and wishes of their clinics, clinicians and staff. Genesis gives us a solid foundation on which we can build a thriving practice.

Cloud based, accessible from anywhere. Integrated billing and financials. Many of my colleagues use Genesis, so there is a community of like-minded clinicians.

Cons:

We on boarded during a transition time in the Genesis ecosystem. We understand there are growing pains with scaling and integrating various business platforms. Also on boarding any new EHR is challenging. We are now through the storm on the other side. Feels great and we're looking for a very productive 2025 and on.

Pros:

The biggest thing that I was looking for in an EHR is that it was Cloud-based. I was tired of having to be tied to the office, staying late doing notes. Genesis has been doing it longer than anyone.

Cons:

Like anything new, I don't like what I don't know. I've had more time to get familiar with the software, so it is getting much better in those regards.

Genesis checked more boxes for me. It seems much more complete than any other EHR.

Reasons for switching to Genesis Chiropractic Software

I started with Chirotouch, the server version. Then went to CT Cloud because we were needing more than 5 users and wanted mobility. CT Cloud is a fraction of what the original is. Their customer service has no idea how to help you. Features that we were used to on the server version wasnt there. CT Clouds response was always to put a ticket in and we will see if we can get that going. I'm not paying you for your software to help you build it.

Empty promises

Promising software but was told in the sales phase that the requests/ questions could be done by the software but in fact they were not going to work the way the sales confirmed. Unless you run your office exactly the way Genesis wants you to or (their typical office) you might as well not even bother.

the features and capabilities that are present but could never to get to work correctly even after a second setup months after initial setup was complete. Wasted 6 months of my time and my office managers time.

Cons:

Customer service is joke dont even bother.

So far so good!

We have a lot to learn still so we can customize the software to suit our practice, but from what we have so early on, I expect great things. Let me tell you, the training team has been kind, patient and reassuring during this entire process and always will find an answer when needed. quickly schedule appointments; patient daily notes look professional and are easy to access; easy to take payments with Fortis; the amazing training team and new patient process so much faster and more efficient. I like that the Dr has more accessibility to the financial aspect of his practice and can see the claims workbench.

Cons:

Small fonts and crowded pages. Individual appointment visit receipts with dx and procedure codes reflecting that days visit only. The only way we found to print that out also prints out every prior visit and the font is INCREDIBLY small and hard to read.

The ease of scheduling, the way it wouldn't allow claims to slip through the cracks. It is the true task master software needed to ensure claims were sent and received and followed up on. We also liked the way the Dr has easy access to his numbers, his practice and where things are on a day to day basis.

Reasons for switching to Genesis Chiropractic Software

None of our reports were accurate. Too many variables in order to get a bottom line that never lined up right down to patient seen that day - 3 reports, 3 different answers. We could not print a statement that reflected the true balance. Every issue we had was "on our end". We did that for over 30 years. We were actually the first 10 clients of the software.

Genesis Just Gets It — Simplify Your Practice Today

Overall, our experience has been excellent. Genesis helped streamline and automate many aspects of our practice that used to be time-consuming and inefficient. The team truly understands the needs of chiropractors, and the system is built with those needs in mind. From onboarding to ongoing support, the process has been smooth, professional, and empowering. Genesis offers an incredibly user-friendly system that simplifies everything from scheduling to documentation. The implementation was much smoother than expected thanks to their thorough onboarding process. Their customer support stands out — responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. The training resources are clear, and their team is genuinely friendly and helpful, which made getting started feel less overwhelming.

Cons:

As with any new EHR system, there was a learning curve at the beginning. Adapting to new workflows can be a challenge when you’re already busy running a practice. That said, Genesis did a great job of guiding us through the setup and providing support at each step — so while it took some time to get fully comfortable, we never felt like we were doing it alone.

Fairly easy to use, note macros make It easy and efficient to do notes

Cons:

People get red screens and nothing pops up about why, issues sometimes with appointments not showing up or showing up as a conflict when they aren’t. I already knew how to use the software so felt the training I had to do was an overkill
