About Prime Suite

Prime Suite is an ambulatory platform that provides healthcare organizations with clinical, financial, and administrative tools and services. The health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) system enables practices to choose between on-premise and hosted options. Users can add on integrated solutions for revenue cycle management, interoperability, population health management, mobile access, analytics and patient engagement.

Prime Suite supports clinical documentation for primary care and specialties with templates specific to the encounters those physicians see most often. To support practice participation in quality care initiatives, Prime Suite is certified for MU Stages 1 and 2, and is prevalidated to offer points toward NCQA patient-centered medical home (PCMH) recognition.

Prime Suite also includes tools to assist with ICD-10 coding and dashboards to track progress toward quality measures for value-based programs.

    As a CMA in a very busy Family practice its crucial to have a good working EMR and I think Prume Suite was just that. It made charting very easy and not very time consuming. It's very simple to refill patients medications, view lab/imaging results, put in referrals to specialists, schedule patients, and communicate back and forth with each physician.
    Cons:
    One thing i think it's missing or I dont know how to is putting in reminders for things that need to be followed up on.

    Nobody loves their EHR

    It works well with daily activities and getting the important reports. Its system to generate specific/customized reports is challenging.

    The reporting and the Billing Department is by far its strength. Started with GRS in Feb 2018. Responsive and professional. In my opinion if I lost my GRS team, I would leave Greenway.
    Cons:
    Service and response times to issues. We still have open tickets from December in the middle of February.

    We had Greenway when I started. Due to the lack of support, I was very tempted to go back to Athena.

    The best feature is that there could be an Administrator over this software that limits/extends permission/rights in the office rather than calling someone in IT or at the software company!
    Cons:
    They are sun-setting this product due to the fact that they want everyone to switch to their new platform - Intergy rather than support 2 EMR systems they will only have to support one.

    Overall PrimeSuite is a great product for our specialty. We have looked at other systems within Greenway and they are not as user friendly and definitely are not set up for the type of patient we see.

    It is specific to our specialty. The facesheet is easy to read and can be customized to fit the needs of the employee whether they are a physician, medical assistant or front office staff.

    I do't have anything positive to say about this software
    Cons:
    customer service is awful. I have had a support ticket open for 253 days for an error with pulling prescription history. Not a single person has contacted me, I asked for a supervisor and there isn't on.

    HIPAA nightmare upon retirement

    Recently changed to semiretired status and exited this software platform. I purchased a 3 month extension specifically to allow time for exiting and transfer of necessary information. Unable to extract financial records despite multiple contacts with customer service. I was told that I could transfer the date out only at the end of use. As I reached the end of my extension I attempted to transfer data. I was then informed that the data only came in and a format that does not allow access, except by transferring to another third party. I investigated these options very closely and could find no platform that could provide this function for less than $8000. This is an unreasonably burdensome cost for the exit of a small practice. I lost the chance to follow-up collections of outstanding accounts. It also means that I cannot respond to patient requests for this data. This places me at risk for HIPAA violation. When I purchased the software, before its acquisition by Greenway Health, I was promised a no cost exit with usable data. In retrospect, if I was just given basic support a customer service, I could have selectively printed PDFs of individual patient's statements. There is no excuse for not providing data in the simple usable format that can be exported to Excel or Google sheets. This conversion is offered by third parties.. After all the years and all the money paid Greenway, the should have provided this data conversion internally. I was led on until they extracted a 3 month extension contract from me.

    I liked that we could easily schedule patients, look at their accounts and make changes to the account easily.
    Cons:
    We were pretty happy with the software until we hit the "bugs" that triggered the DOJ investigation.
