They are experienced, professional and very attentive. My customer rep is excellent. If I have a question or need it’s answered immediately. Senior management will also call and check in periodically to make sure things are going well. Great value and people to work with!

There is nothing I could suggest short of having it be able to enter data on my behalf :)

Would not recommend. Stay away

It was great at first and within the last 6 months it has cost me thousands of dollars in lost revenue because they didn't input EOPs on time or just didn't file sessions for coverage at all.

Pros:
Reports are great and it is very user friendly for note keeping and staying organized.
Cons:
The customer service is TERRIBLE. This is a company that prides itself on billing for you, yet they do not input EOPs on time or sometimes at all. It takes them weeks to respond to any questions or concerns if they take the time to respond at all. You are expected to make your payment for their services the first of the month, but if they don't do their job OH WELL! There is one rep there that is holding that place together and without her, that place implodes. I am just waiting for the day she no longer works there because I am certain she has gotten so many nasty emails because people are so frustrated with their lack of responses and ability to do their job.

Reasons for switching to Psyquel

I wanted a billing component and Myclientsplus didn't have what I was looking for

Noticeable decline in 2024

I used Psyquel for over 10 years but there was a noticeable change in 2024 and I decided to go with Simple Practice that offers many more features and higher security. So far I have been impressed with their customer service and what they offer. Therapy Notes and Therapy Appointments are two other impressive companies but Simple Practice is easy to use, has high security, and better fit my needs.

Pros:
You are able to customize reports. Easy to use scheduling.
Cons:
Due to recent changes in Psyquel in 2024 there is a lack of support or responsiveness. I asked that my account be cancelled and despite several emails and phone calls did not receive a response. I asked how my records would be disposed of or transitioned, and once again no response. I asked that their merchant carrier, Stax, be cancelled and I received no response. They made a charge on my account from Stax and when I inquired about it, once again, no response. Whomever took over Psyquel does not appear to care about customer service and I question how well they are keeping records safe.

PSYQUEL was the first thing I tried but wouldn't ever recommend it

I think that they are not really even a behavioral EHR as much as just a very very rudimentary billing program. There's better ones out there.

Pros:
They can track billing fairly easily but there are many many errors and it's really up to the billing agent to look for rejections which happen all the time--- it's very hands off billing. It is very cheap but I think it's because there are no features.
Cons:
The notes are terrible. The billing is also not very good. Overall, I found it to be on the whole very inferior.

Vendor Response

Thank you for your review. We have several different services available based on your needs. The program is simple to use and with the use of back office support, this would be ¿hands off¿ billing. Our back office service would allow you more time with your clients and documentation. We are always trying to improve the software, as well as any assistance you might need. I am sorry that you did not find our program helpful. J.Malcolm

Pros:
I greatly enjoy the ease at which I can access my client information, scheduling, and billing details, even when I am not in the office.
Cons:
If I had to choose one thing I am not fond of, it would be how long it takes the message section of Psyquel's portal to update itself (ex: informing me that I have missing patient notes when all notes have been completed). It's not even necessarily an inconvenience, just something I've noticed.

Pros:
The things I like the most is the ease of using the system. I also enjoy the feature of my clients being emailed a reminder for their appointments and for the help with re-verifying my insurance.
Cons:
There are not a lot of things I dislike about this software. The appointment window with the insurance breakdown is a little confusing and would be better if it was clearer in the way it charts payments from the client and insurance companies.
