About SubHub

SubHub is a cloud-based solution that helps businesses design custom membership websites, publish digital content and manage customers, payments, subscriptions and more via a unified portal. The platform allows organizations to handle the sales operations using the built-in shopping cart and accept payments via eWallets or credit cards.

SubHub allows users to create, upload and publish content in PDF, audio, video and other formats and schedule automatic publishing for specific date and time. Administrators can develop personalized websites using predefined templates, define membership levels for different customer groups and gain visibility into performance metrics through built-in reporting tools. Additionally, supervisors can define one-time, monthly, annual or recurring payment plans and generate promo codes to offer discounts.

SubHub supports integration with numerous social media platforms, payment gateways and third-party applications like Stripe, MailChimp and more. It is available on monthly/annual subscriptions and support is provided via email and other online measures.

SubHub has been a game changer for sure

I am a solo teacher. I have never worked with anyone else, and I will probably not work with anyone else other than my students. I teach one-on-one lessons. But I have launched a subscription service on the side so that I could have more income security. SubHub is that solution. I don't have a lot of members, but the current members are very pleased with the website. They think I am actually a great programmer! SubHub is an instant credibility booster for a solo operator like me.

Pros:

I do like everything about SubHub. First, it's very easy to manage my website using their system. Whenever I need help, I can go to the tutorials — both written and recorded — and find a step-by-step solution. So far, I have found all answers to my questions in the tutorial section. And whenever I need extra help, support comes in quickly. They respond quickly, they are attentive, and their extremely effective. SubHub also has a course platform. I don't really sell courses. But I have made a few and included them in the membership to make it more valuable. And the course platform is functional, easy to use, and — if you sell courses — can become quite profitable. Oh, and I also sell ebooks on my site through Subhub's e-commerce functionality.

Cons:

There isn't really anything that I don't like about SubHub. If I have to point out anything, I would say the general user interface looks solid, but a bit outdated. I mean, it looks "old". But it has never had any impact on my experience with them. I have used other software and products that were shiny and good-looking but not as functional as SubHub's.

SendOwl is a good shopping cart but it was not made to manage subscriptions.

Very pleased with SubHub: the platform and the support staff

SubHub provides virtually all the functionality our organization needs, without the complexity of our previous site. The crew at SubHub has been very helpful in making the changeover and have responded quickly to any issues we encountered. We now have a site that our members can administer w/o becoming webrocket scientists.

Pros:

SubHub does nearly all we need our site to do, and because it allows us to integrate an external forms program onto our web pages, gets us even closer to 100%. It's simple and intuitive to set up, and easy to work with. It will allow our board members and volunteers to take on some of the work that only a few of us were able to handle previously in WordPress.

Cons:

It's not as flexible/extensible as our previous WordPress site, but WordPress' extensibility was what turned our previous site into a nightmare tangle of plugins that seemed to spend more time arguing with one another than doing their jobs for us.

Reasons for switching to SubHub

The previous site had so many problems (WAY too many plugins) that the WordPress expert we planned to pay to fix it told us that we'd have to throw it out and start over. Having spent way too much time patching it here and there, I believe them

Subhub's Customer Service is Excellent!

Subhub's customer service is outstanding! They respond to emails almost immediately. They take my requests and issues seriously and have always been able to resolve any issues I have with my site. If I need custom work done, they have been available to help. We recently hired a web designer to re-design our site for us (because we wanted it completely custom). She was amazed at how well the team at Subhub responded to her and helped throughout the process. She had initially wanted me to transfer to a Wordpress site, but after one conversation with Subhub, she understood why I will never go anywhere else. My site is custom, beautiful, and we couldn't be happier!

Subhub is easy to use. I have several members on my team that post weekly to our site. The editor is intuitive and easy to use. We also love that it is now mobile optimized. 50% of our users are on mobile, so this is huge for us. Subhub was the only platform we found that has multi-memberships and a store that work together.

Cons:

There are limits to how custom you can make the site. But we've always been able to find work arounds and make it work. I also really dislike Mailchimp and would like another email provider integrated into the site.

Thrilled with SubHub!

My experience with SubHub has been absolutely outstanding! [sensitive content hidden] was able to take our idea and design a beautiful website for it. She somehow truly understood what we wanted with very little direction from us. Everything we wanted is there, plus some amazing, perfect touches! The developers were able to make the modifications we wanted to give the website the functionality we needed. The actual product (the membership website) is organized well, looks good, works well, and is user friendly. I cannot speak high enough about how pleasant SubHub is to work with. [sensitive content hidden] is so delightful and approachable and very talented. Every communication we had with other SubHub employees was very positive. Much appreciation! :)

This is challenging as we are so pleased! There are a couple of tiny things that we would like, or at least we think we would like...-Email All feature able to send photos-Photos able to be uploaded to the forum (or a page, by members, in addition to profile)That's all I can think of!

Reasons for switching to SubHub

We tried to do this by ourselves, and then hired someone, but we were not successful. The end product was not at all what we had in mind, and did not work well.

SubHub Makes Membership Websites Easy

SubHub allows me to easily (as a non-techie) to create a membership website without needing to hire a team of web developers.

Cons:

Despite not being very technical, I would have liked to see more options in the available templates to make the site look and feel more how I wanted.

Out of all the different sites I looked into, SubHub seemed to be the easiest to work with, and I was right.

I wanted a better system for recurring memberships.

I was able to learn how to apply everrything I knew I needed, fairly easily and effortlessly. The support team is GREAT! They answer questions quickly and professionally, so I can take the next steps myself.

An online business dream come true

Really amazing. I shocked myself and with the help of this world class support team I am managing + creating my own website and running my online business solo which feels very freeing and empowering.

I can actually use it. The customer service is impeccable. It has great functionality without being overly confusing.

Cons:

Some glitches and inconsistencies have caused mild frustration. Not consistent across all browsers. Difficult to size, style and space font and videos.

Reasons for switching to SubHub

A business partner told me about Sub Hub and suggested I make the switch to a membership specific software so I didn't have to deal with all of the extra plug ins, updates and maintenance.

I've been with SubHub since 2008. I have nothing but praise for this organisation. The nicest things for me is the continuity, year after year I deal with the same folk. They obviously like being with SubHub, so do I.

Great customer service for an urgent issue
