About Donarius

Donarius is a church management software solution available for on-premise deployment that serves both churches and other non-profit organizations.

Donarius lets users keep track of members, contributions, pledges and more. Users can enter all offerings and donations by name or envelope number and they can track loose offerings as well.

The solution offers envelope printing, so churches can print their own offering envelopes rather than ordering them.

Donarius can send monthly and yearly statements out to members or donors and it can generate various types of reports. Users can personalize letters, emails and text messages to help engage members. A module for pre-authorized donations (ACH) automatically enters recurring donations.

Donarius also includes a module for membership management and users can print a photo directory. This system is priced per organization in perpetuity, plus yearly upgrade costs.

Donarius for Dummies

Wonderful once I learned how to navigate it. I am not especially technically skilled and the instructions are quite clear.

Pros:

I love the "cross-checking" reminders - the little reminders of what you have previously entered or done so that you get a chance to catch yourself in an error entry or to go ahead if the entry is correct.

Cons:

Sometimes it is a bit painstaking to find the Help item in the index if you do not know what to call it.

Pros:

I found this software intuitive enough that our volunteer book keeper was able to use it on a regular basis without issue. Produced Tax receipts and tracked miscellaneous donations as well as regular ones. Our accountant was pleased that he only had to review at the end of the year - it took the burden off him on a weekly basis. The tax receipts was huge - saved us from manually creating all of them.

Cons:

The software itself had an older look and feel and I felt it could have been updated more frequently.

Great contribution tracking software

Another benefit of this program is that I can run a summary of quarterly giving as well as tax receipts.

Pros:

This software does a great job of tracking contributions and printing contribution receipts at the end of the year. It is easy to use and allows you to add new givers at any time throughout the year and even when entering an offering deposit. Very flexible and easy to use. Has a backup program built in also.

Cons:

Sometimes I want to print taxable receipts before the end of the year to see what they look like and if I have made any mistakes but the program does not like to print things twice.

If you want to keep a record of donations and have a host of reporting options at your fingertips, Donarius is the program you are looking for!

Pros:

This is so simple to use that even the least tech savvy members of our congregation were up and running in no time! Once you try this you'll never use Quicken again to track donations. This especially shines in generating receipts!

Cons:

Inactive donors have given some members issues, but the great customer support cleared them up!

Easy to use

Ideal for Small Churches

We keep track of weekly donations, generate reports, and create mid- and end-of-year letters to inform contributors of their donations for IRS purposes. Donarius is easier to use and less expensive than the software that we used previously.

Pros:

We are a small church (around 160 members), and do not require complicated financial applications. Donarius has been ideal for our church. It is easy to use and performs all of the functions we need. The only time we needed service was when we installed the program, and the service provider was very helpful, patient and professional. Since then, the program has worked seamlessly. Donarius is a great value for the money.

Cons:

We are very pleased with the software and haven't found any disadvantages.
