About Eleo

Eleo is a cloud-based donor management solution designed to help nonprofits build donor databases, manage donor interactions, track fundings, plan events and more.

The donor database and contact management features help users build donor profiles and communicate with volunteers and supporters. The donor profiles are customizable, allowing nonprofits to capture the details relevant to them. The list building feature helps to create tailored lists for the entire contact database and initiate targeted campaigns.

Eleo can track all kinds of gifts and pledges and can send automated acknowledgments and 'thank you' emails to donors. It can accept and process payments in all forms including cash, check, in-kind, cards and PayPal.

Additional features include newsletters and solicitation emails, pledge reminders, assigning tasks to supporters, analyzing campaign performance and generating need-based reports.

Eleo offers monthly subscription plans based on the number of donor records. Support is offered via phone, email and live chat, along with online webinars and training sessions.

Pros:

Customer service is great, and live individuals answer the phone right away and resolve your issues. The best customer service I've ever experienced.

Cons:

Having to manually process donations. When an email is received about a donation, you have to go in and manually process it.

The cost was too high and we weren't utilizing all features.

Hard to beat Eleo

Eleo has been a great tool for our organization for over 5 years now. We are a small nonprofit with 3 employees raising around half a million per year. I use other tools in conjunction like excel, and InDesign which is really easy to do by downloading csv's from Eleo. I have always been very satisfied with the customer service, finding them both helpful, pleasant, and prompt.

Pros:

Eleo is hands down the best priced CRM and offers most of what the other CRMs offer at a quarter of the price. Integrating with our payment processor and website have been key. Being able to customize fields to collect specific information allows for great donor management. There is a great capacity for making reports customizable and being able to filter just the right information for your needs. The above and beyond customer service is extremely helpful and prompt.

Cons:

In the past I have had issues with forms not functioning during high traffic times like of #GivingTuesday and have chosen to use another provider for this day. In fairness this was several years ago and we have not tried a high traffic day since. From time to time I have researched other CRM's as we grow because a member portal could be useful for our organization and is not offered in Eleo, but it is always just a headache and I discovered that other companies don't really offer anything more than Eleo and are a lot more money per month.

Reasons for choosing Eleo

Eleo is better priced, less complicated, and very customizable. It had the options we needed (donor management, event management, grant management, stripe integration, website integrated), was straight forward and had helpful service.

Website way to slow

There are a lot of great features but the processing speed is enough of an issue that I am researching other options.

You can do a lot like track donations, create event and donation pages and other links. You can export data.

Cons:

It could be more user friendly, in my experience there have been several times when it has glitched and I've had to start over on what I was working on. The largest issue is that it is severely slow - like dial up in 1999 processing speed. I have tried it on different computers and my phone and it is extremely slow on all three. Other users from our organization have noted the same thing.I also wish their support was available more often.

Outstanding Tool for Managing Donors, Grants, and More!

Pros:

The Eleo team is always responsive and offers outstanding support whenever I need it. They've been incredibly helpful in ensuring I get the most out of the platform and customizing it to meet our foundation’s unique needs. I especially appreciate the one-on-one training sessions, and I can always find a convenient time to connect.

Cons:

The system doesn't support our letterhead template. While I can write the letter, I need to adjust my process to create the final product.

Donor Software that is Affordable Without Sacrificing Quality

We’ve had a fantastic experience with Eleo Donor Management Software! The platform is easy to use, intuitive, and has streamlined the way we track and engage with our donors. The customer service team is outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to help. On top of that, Eleo is affordable without sacrificing features or quality. It’s the perfect solution for nonprofits of all sizes, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!

There is nothing that we like the least about Eleo. Comfort Crew for Military Kids is happy with everything that Eleo provides.

Great For Our Nonprofit!

I used to have Neon as our CRM. Unfortunately their software updates began counterproductive and the cost too high. Unfortunately, Neon required using their payment processing and their software updates seemed to be targeted for mid to large size nonprofits.

Amazing customer service (real person). Economical. Does the job. Easily transferred to another organization when our contract with client changed. We did our due diligence to find a new donor database, and chose Eleo. We've worked with them for two years. I would recommend them to organizations that don't want complexity, drama, or extraneous functions. Five stars.

Cons:

No cons. Everyone who worked with them found them easy to work with, reliable, clear, and responsive.

Eleo is a very affordable option for smaller nonprofits to access a critical tool in fundraising and donor management. The platform is intuitive, easy to learn, and helps us stay organized without overwhelming staff. Cons:

Eleo is user friendly and easy to navigate! Uploading documents is a breeze, love all the breakdowns of donations through the years! Reports are helpful and detailed. Support is always quick and helpful! Would recommend to anyone who need to track donations!

Eleo is very helpful to me

The Eleo support people are very eager to answer any questions that I ask them. If the first person I talk to does not know the answer, then they will get someone who does know the answer to talk to me. They have worked very well with me. They explain things clearly and take me through the steps I need to know.

I wish Eleo would have a "print" button on the screen of transferred gifts to QuickBooks. That would be nice, saving me time.
