About iWave

iWave is a wealth screening software solution designed to help faith-based communities, non-profit organizations and organizations in the education, healthcare, government and other sectors identify potential donors to receive funds. Administrators can utilize the wealth screening tool to set up custom parameters and gain insights into various metrics such as capacity, affinity and giving history.

The platform enables managers to search multiple databases to receive information regarding donors’ mortgages, obituaries and other newsworthy mentions. Additionally, iWave offers cultivation and engagement analytics modules, which allow teams to select channels to communicate with prospects.

iWave lets organizations integrate the system with several third-party applications including StratusLIVE, Salesforce, Gravyty, Neon and Causeview. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email, chat, webinars, video tutorials, FAQs and an online contact form.

Pros:

It has everything you need to do prospect research - Real estate valuation, Business Info through ZoomInfo, Previous donations, screening, etc. It is the best product for researching in regards to fundraising that I have ever used.

Cons:

I recently got switched to a different customer service representative and I'm having a hard time receiving a response from her on a couple of occasions.

Pros:

iWave contains all the major databases on one easy to navigate platform. I especially appreciate the ability to bounce between foundation, individual, and corporate searches. The developers are consistently improving the product, adding new powerful features. The user support is top notch and always available, plus they have a catalog of webinars showing you how to use the platform in ever powerful ways.

Cons:

There is nothing I don't like about this software. I feel like we've been benefiting from it ever since acquiring, and we still haven't tapped into its full potential.

Reasons for choosing iWave

For the cost and the level of customer support, iWave contained access to more databases in an easy-to-use way, making it a better value for us.

Pros:

Interface is very easy to use. Makes a good resource to use with other products when comparing results especially for finding donations from other non-profits. Listens to customers and adds enhancements according customer suggestions.

Cons:

Adding dates is cumbersome in profiles. Information in profiles should be automatically bleed through to general information, should not have to be re-entered manually.

Great tool for new non profits to build their donor base

It was overall positive but ultimately didn't do much for donor prospect for us, but a great tool for newer non-profits looking to build their donor base.

It was relatively easy to use with good tutorials and resources for novice users. The information retrieved was easy to read and understand.It can build several lists and reports quickly.

Cons:

It requires specific details about a donor to retrieve any financial information. If you cannot provide specific details, it will retrieve minimal information.

A great program, if you can afford it!

I have liked the program, but have felt that it is costly and not sure if my organization will continue to want to pay for it. But I've enjoyed it.

It gives us the ability know more about our donor and be able to ask for funds much more confidently.

Cons:

I think the cost is kind of high. And I believe that with your cost breakdown being by the profiles, is hard because you don't know if someone is worth spending your profile "token" on until after often times.

Excellent one-stop shop for prospect research at a reasonable cost

One of my favorite research tools! And one of the best values around.

The amount of data categories available is very good for the cost, the search functionality is clean, and you can see a lot of info at once, very quickly.

Cons:

Sometimes the search gets wonky when you're searching a lot of people in a row. Also would be nice to have integrated news alerts.

Pros:

What I like most is the sheer volume of datasets that they use to help find information on prospects. The improvements I've seen over the years, including profiles, alerts, and now the new Connections feature are simply amazing. I've always been impressed by iWave, and I'll continue to recommend it to anyone who asks.

Cons:

I wish there were more filtering functions, particularly in the real estate tab. I often want to search for someone who owns a property in one state, but lives in another (for example, Minnesota snowbirds who have homes in Florida). I can filter on the property state, but not the owner state.

VItal to our Fundraising Efforts

Overall, I've been very happy with my experience with iWave. Any questions or issues that come up, I know I can go to the website and search for a solution or touch base with my Sales Rep or Service Team to troubleshoot solutions.

Pros:

I went through demos for several donor and wealth screening software systems, and iWave's features and usability were above and beyond competitors in the field. The user interface is simple and intuitive and provides me with a great overview of screening projects and profiles. The ability to dive deep and look into sources of data allows me to start the more in-depth research parts of my job.

Cons:

We initially had a API linkup issue, but we were able to solve this with our IT department and iWave's tech team. I honestly haven't experienced many issues with iWave!

Found this product so useful that we purchased additional licenses for other staff members.

We use it a THE starting place when we are given a prospect name about which very little is known. This product is extremely helpful in finding employment, property, stock, etc. which out manual internet searches.

Pros:

Ease of use and depth of information. Not only are you able to look up a property record, you are also able to see the property history. Many of the sections allow you see the source. Also really like the 360 degree search feature as a starting place. Very helpful.

Cons:

I can not think of anything I don't like about this product. Perhaps one con would be that the records are not updated from the iWave sources as frequently as I would like, however, that is true for most prospect research products.
