About ThankView

ThankView is a cloud-based video making software that helps organizations create and share custom videos for events and awareness campaigns, product demos or providing updates to stakeholders. The platform enables users to design personalized landing pages with custom logos, colors and images to establish brand identity.

ThankView allows teams to record videos or upload pre-recorded videos, trim, cut or combine clips and add automatic captions to engage with the target audience. It offers a host of features such as themed overlay banners, licensed music, video outsourcing, pixels tracking, custom merge fields and more. Additionally, users can store videos in a centralized library and add folders and tags to organize video files.

ThankView supports integration with various third-party applications like Evertrue, Givebutter, Blackbaud and more. It is available on monthly subscriptions and support is provided via email, videos and an online help center.

A great tool!

Pros:

ThankView makes it super easy to communicate with constituents. For me, that's alumni, donors, and students. You can customize messages with whatever your goal is, and it is very easy to do that. People also love receiving ThankViews; we always get great feedback. It makes us stand out. The platform is very user friendly, even for those not technically included.

Cons:

We recently hit the maximum number of contacts uploaded. Thankfully, we will be able to upgrade, but in the meantime we had to delete some old contacts. If costs are an issue, that may be burdensome.

Deepening relationships in an increasingly digital landscape

We started using ThankView during the pandemic to maintain relationships where we would typically use in-person meetings. Now, we use ThankView in a number of creative ways, including donor updates, donation-specific thank you messages, and general impact messaging. The results have been truly amazing — we often get responses from stakeholders telling us that our ThankViews are the best thank you’s they have ever received.

Pros:

ThankView makes it easy to put relationships first. I especially like that ThankView allows us to choose strategic goals for each campaign (thanking, fundraising, birthdays/anniversaries, etc), with custom templates for each type. We use the video request feature often, which has allowed our team to collaborate on our donor stewardship.

Cons:

The process for creating new landing pages/envelopes is functional, but clunky. To create, one has to break the campaign creation flow and enter a new workflow.

Pros:

ThankView is super user friendly. We train students to use it in a matter of minutes! I love how easy it is to send out multiple PERSONALIZED videos in a short amount of time, as well as send out videos that "appear" personalized as well. We've been able to do so many great things with ThankView including thanking our donors, wishing them happy birthday, inviting them to events, and more.

Cons:

Honestly, we have so many ideas for how to use ThankView and just not enough time!

Pros:

We use ThankView for our annual fund thank yous and other special campaigns. What I like most is how easy it easy to use! You are easily walked through the steps to launch your video campaign, and that makes it so easy to start/continuing using this product. I also love that the software comes with an amazing account/support team!

Nothing comes to mind honestly! It's been a seamless process learning and using this platform.

Critical for building relationships

We loved our customer success team and our onboarding process. We were able to hit the ground running and reach out to people who we wouldn't otherwise get any "face time" with during a pandemic.

I love the ability to personalize every video and give people a "peek" into our organization. Even if they live across the country, or haven't visited in decades, ThankView allows us more intimate and personal contact.

Having to delete videos from the library one-by-one

Pros:

I couldn't do my job without ThankView, especially when the pandemic hit. It's super user friendly and a great way to send videos of thanks from our students to our donors. It's an amazing platform!!!

Cons:

Honestly, there's not much I don't like. Perhaps some of the contact database management isn't as clean as it could be, but overall it's great.

A valuable investment for engaging your audience and stewarding donors

ThankView is providing our organization with a more personal and engaging way to interact with all of our audience segments. Video can seem daunting, but ThankView does a great job of simplifying the entire production process while still producing a high-quality product.

Pros:

Overall, ThankView is an intuitive application that provides a quality product. If we have questions, ThankView has an extensive resource library and community discussion boards where you can bounce ideas off others using ThankView.

Cons:

Honestly, the downsides are minimal. There are some integration limitations but we've found workarounds for most of these. Additionally, ThankView is continually rolling out new features and enhancing existing ones. They make a point to listen to client feedback and consider requests.

Amazing Donor Recognition Software

A Great Communication Tool!

My overall experience with ThankView has been very positive and I appreciate the user community as well. They were very reasonable working through our first renewal and always quick to respond with any problems or questions. They appear to allocate time, resources and dollars to improving their functionality which is always a great sign. Looking forward to helping with some beta testing too!

I so appreciated that this was an easy tool to learn, immediately being able to get a critical message out and then being able to take some time to learn more and get better at it when I had more time. I was given no one to talk to and no training and one week to get a video out to thousands of prospective students and their parents when the pandemic hit and staff members were furloughed. That success says a lot!

Cons:

There will always be changes desired with a cloud solution, but I have only found minor inconveniences and the support team is very open to adding features and improving functions. I struggled to delete large chunks of contacts and needed several rounds with customer support to get that done.

Wonderful and easy to use!

Most of my experience with ThankView has been during giving days. Setting up the campaigns beforehand and then sending them out to prospect managers to record their videos has been so easy, and it's such a great touchpoint! We've gotten some really great responses back from them, which we wouldn't have if we had just sent a thank you letter.

Pros:

I love that Thankview embraces the informal video. It really takes the burden off of our communications team and allows our gift officers a chance to thank their donors immediately. I also appreciate how easy to use and intuitive it is.

Cons:

I would love to see them add an option for personalized banners, for a specified amount of time, on specific videos.
