About Electrum

Electrum is a bitcoin wallet that helps businesses process cryptocurrencies across websites. It enables merchants to verify online transactions, accept payments and secure data from malware or virus attacks through two-factor authentication (2FA) capability.

It lets businesses securely store private keys, define custom phrases to recover funds and verify historical transactions using the SPV technique. Features of Electrum include data encryption, offline access, invoice processing, and transaction monitoring.

One of the best Bitcoin wallet for last 10 years.

Overall, I love this software as a Bitcoin wallet. It is fast & can be modified as per our need. It will be great if it adds an Ethereum wallet to it.

Pros:

Electrum is an excellent Bitcoin-only wallet. It is safe, fast & free to use. It is great for any company as it's open-source software.

Cons:

Electrum needs a lot more enhancements The software only supports Bitcoin. The UI is very complicated for beginners. CRM needs more development.

Pros:

Free, easy to install, available for many platforms (PC, Mac, Android, iOS). The User Interface is not very fancy or eye candy, but it's enough and easy understandable, even for beginners.

Cons:

a HUGE ONE : Electrum doesn't use standard BIP39 seed generation. It means: 1) if you lost your device, you will have to re-install Electrum (and only Electrum) to recover your tokens with your recovery phrase, 2) you cannot recover your wallet on different devices/software (Ledger, Trezor...) using your recovery phrase

most secure cryptowallet I know

For me, of all the cryptocurrency platforms, Electrum is definitely the one I feel most secure with and will definitely recommend. In my opinion it can certainly be a bit more complicated if it guarantees security.

Pros:

Electrum really gives me the feeling that my crypto coins are safe. For me personally, the whole recovery seed process has quite something mysterious, and I'm pretty sure no one can get to my wallet.

Cons:

On the other hand, it wasn't immediately easy to set up the account and figure out how to create different wallets and distribute my coins among them, that took quite a bit of time and effort. The customer service was helpful in guiding me there, but I probably wouldn't have managed it myself.
