We have used TouchPoint for ten years and are constantly learning. Excited for the future - especially rolling out Mobile 3.0 to our congregation!

Pros:
I love that TouchPoint has functionality that allows us to use data to know and love our people well
Cons:
Sometimes new features are released and bugs are found, but I know they are working to improve that. Some documentation is older and not current to the new features, but we really like the new LMS!

Reasons for switching to TouchPoint

We were looking for something with more functionality, customization, check-in and more up-to-date with technology

Lower entry cost was our main reasons for starting with Touchpoint, formerly BVCMS.
Cons:
As a techie, I was good with the learning curve. Getting other staff to get comfortable with these was not easily done.

integration with texting platform (powered by text) has had a lot of bugs and issues

it was made previous to me joining staff. I have heard it was due to the fact that Arena was dated and didn't have much of the capability of TP

Cons:
Their reports would be more robust. We've built a lot of custom reports so we can capture the data we need.

We were using a very old version of Fellowship One that is no longer supported.

TouchPoint Exceeds Expecations

Our experience with TouchPoint has been one of true partnership, listening, and growing. In just a year and a half, I've seen TouchPoint continue to improve its already stellar tools and have benefitted from their exceptional and accessible staff. After working with three difference ChMS providers over the last decade and exploring far more, they are truly the best of the best.

Pros:
I'm most grateful for the was TouchPoint has improved our ability to truly know and shepherd our congregation as well as the helpful church network TouchPoint has developed.
Cons:
My least favorite part of TouchPoint is the lack of real-time dashboards for registration forms requiring a report to be run to see registration results.

Increased costs and decreased efficiency after PushPay purchased CCB.

Great ChMS for Medium to Large churches

Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Data migration took longer than we had hoped. I don't think the planning/forecast for that was reasonable. But, the product is great!

Check-in could be more customizable, app is very good, but just links a number of things back to the church website instead of having the information native to the app.

ACS was antiquated. Realm was too oriented toward a social media mindset and we didn't want to go that route.

Love the ability to quickly look up and retrieve information from my mobile device. There are often times I need an address or phone number to quickly connect with people.
Cons:
You have to get names right. Sometimes just being off slightly will return no results. Wish there was a similar to type result.

Touch point provides a great way to allow parents to easily checkin kids to events in a way that is easy for them, easy for our staff, and easy for our IT. It gives us the security and metrics that we need, while also giving parents peace of mind.
