The solution caters to organizations of all sizes. It can be deployed on-premise or as a SaaS. OpenOTP provides a comprehensive security stack, including IAM management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), network access control (NAC), and other services. The product is compatible with a range of authentication methods, such as push notifications, FIDO2/Passkeys, PKI, software/hardware tokens, and legacy methods like SMS and email.

One key feature is the integrated IAM and federation capabilities. The solution provides native integration with various identity providers and directories, including Active Directory, LDAP, Okta, and Ping Identity. It also offers advanced features like Pwned password detection, presence-based access control, electronic signatures, and compliance with regulations like NIS2.

OpenOTP with FortiGate and FortiClient

5

We are still in the implementation phase, initially only using FortiGate and FortiClient VPN. So far, I am impressed by the product's high degree of customizability. The sales team is very customer-oriented. The technical support team is very dedicated and demonstrates impressive expertise.

5 stars for this solution

My experience has been highly satisfying. The OpenOTP ecosystem meets all my authentication needs and even exceeds them. I also had some interaction with their support team, who did a great job and resolved my issue in a very short time.

It is a flexible and powerful authentication solution that fits many use cases in the IAM, SSO, and MFA space. The pricing is fair compared to similar competitors on the market.
Cons:
The admin UI interface feels a bit old-school but remains highly functional and powerful.

Great features and smooth implementation support

The staff and support at RCDEVS is among the best I have experienced. They really helped us in the pre-sales, engineering decision making for our ultimate configuration, and of course post sales support that was urgent and on point.

Pros:
We like the push notifications and biometric cross checking to ensure that the MFA actually being authorized by the primary user. It's got a series of features that the other industry MFA don't such as spoken OTP and Phishing protection.
Cons:
When the app sends a push, it goes to notifications and you have to look for it unless you have the app open and in the foreground. Would be nice if the alert on Android would come into the foreground when pushed.

Reasons for choosing OpenOTP

This product was only made to run on windows and required extra microsoft licensing for SQL and Windows Server. We prefered Linux for our mission critical applications. Their lack of features plus double the price point of OpenOTP made us go with RCDevs. We did a head to head trial on multiple products over 4 months.

Reasons for switching to OpenOTP

Okta kept raising the price and yet offered no value or justification. We went from $6.00 a user to well over $18.00 for the same functionality even though we grew in our accounts. Their applications were from the early 2000's and no improvements were ever made and they were buggy and prone to crashing.
