Great App for Writers

Finally found an app for writers who don't need to worry about the technical aspects of online publishing. Everything is taken care of for you. I get to focus on my writing.

Cons:

Nothing so far. Everything is working fine. Not a negative, but Beehiiv could set up an app for book writers like me. Take care of all the publishing and online promotions.

Beehiiv has made it very easy for me to start a newsletter, without having to worry about SEO, design or coding.

Cons:

The push notifications can be worked on, as I don't get notified when I get a new subscriber, or when someone unsubscribes

Reasons for switching to beehiiv

Whilst I enjoy kit, at times kit was too complicated and had a messy dashboard. Beehiiv has a simpler dashboard, viewfinder and workflow than Kit Beehiiv was also a little bit more affordable and that was a big part of my decision.

Pros:

I really like how simple and intuitive Beehiiv is to use. It feels built with creators in mind, so setting up emails, editing content, and managing my list never feels overwhelming. The layout is clean, the features are easy to find, and I don’t have to wrestle with the platform to get things done. I also appreciate how quickly you can get started, it makes writing and sending newsletters feel straightforward rather than like a big technical task.

Cons:

Some features feel a bit limited or basic compared to other platforms I’ve used. There are moments where I wish there was more flexibility with customisation, especially around design and automation. It’s a great platform overall, but a few areas still feel like they’re catching up, and I sometimes find myself wanting a bit more control.

Migrated from Legacy Infrastructure to beehiiv

It's been a great experience for me- I came off an old fragmented legacy infrastructure that was frankly held together with duct tape and baling wire. Many classic problems of the WordPress architecture just go away when moving to a modern infrastructure. I have had excellent customer support when I need to clarify things, and they are very open to feedback on features I am looking for. You can't ask for much more than that. I love the boosts features. As a legacy publisher, these were new for me and took a bit to get used to. I use a limited amount of ads- this will get more robust over time.

For what I need, it is a great solution. I was coming off a WordPress, Thrivecart, Brevo combo platter. This is giving me all I need in one platform, which has been great. Yes, as an earlier stage company they are continuously rolling out new features. It will keep getting more and more robust over time, and the gains I have received so far more than make up for any features I am waiting for.

Cons:

Email templates for newsletters would be nice just to make it easier to get started. I find some of the ad features a little confusing as I am still getting used to how these all work.

Reasons for switching to beehiiv

Solution is simply not a modern robust infrastructure. Too many issues with performance and lack of integration making it hard to manage my business. I was using a combo platter of WordPress, ThriveCart, and Brevo.

Great platform, 20% off and competitive prices is a welcome bonus

After over a year of using beehiiv, I'm very happy and couldn't imagine using another platform. The amount of monetisation options is significant and the cost is affordable. Good job all round.

Easy to use, growth and monetisation options are powerful. Works out cheaper than most other platforms, with 20% off first three months of paid plans and a 30-day free trial - https://www.beehiiv.com/?via=start-a-newsletter-today Very good platform overall.

Cons:

I would like to see email newsletter templates introduced. While the customisation tools are powerful to create any style newsletter without any code, it would be nice to have a head start with some best practices already in place.

Reasons for switching to beehiiv

More powerful monetisation and growth options. I also used Substack previously but found beehiiv's pricing to be more consistent, whereas Substack takes 10% of revenue which added up as I grew.

Caused Major Deliverability Problems, Readers Didn't Get Our Emails

Overall, moving to beehiiv was a waste of time as we had to migrate to another platform after just a few months. It looked good initially, but ultimately we were better off with ConvertKit (now Kit)

The interface is well designed, and access to high quality advertisers make it easy to build a business on their platform

Cons:

Beehiiv has serious deliverability issues. We had to move off the platform as readers were no longer getting our emails. Their customer service was also quite poor, as they didn't respond when we reached out for help.

Beehiiv was lower cost and has an advertiser network, which could add another revenue stream.

I've been using beehiiv for about a year and I'm impressed by both their newsletter and blog platform. It just works and is very user friendly. Also quite impressed by their freequent updates. They just keep shipping new features at a very steady pace.

I love the integration between the newsletter and the blogging tool. I also read very convincing reviews and learned that big brand like Milk Road had been built on the platform.

Beehiiv Email Marketing Software

Overall, Beehiiv has helped me start a newsletter and get to grips with email marketing. It's fairly cost effective, especially for smaller subscription lists. I haven't found all the features available yet though, as it can be difficult and confusing to navigate the site.

Beehiiv is cost effective, especially when starting out with email marketing. It offers a lot of features and multiple ways of generating revenue.

Cons:

Beehiiv is quite complicated to get the hang of, and you can't see your newsletter as you're making it; you have to format it and then preview to see what it looks like. This means it takes more time to get it right. The User Interface is quite busy and can be confusing to navigate.

Reasons for choosing beehiiv

I chose Beehiiv over alternative products as it had a cheaper start up cost and was easier to set up an initial account.

Email isn't Dead, The Tool That Gives Your Newsletters a Boost

I love the feature set but haven't used it as much as I'd like due to the learning curve. The affiliate & referral emails are awesomely engaging and it seems like a strong community has been created. Looking forward to growing my audience through the platform.

Generous free plan that lets you grow a healthy subscriber base. Ability to customize a website and use advanced HTML in your newsletters. Great referral plan that keeps affiliates engaged. The platform even helps you earn a little extra revenue in the process if you're on a paid plan.

Cons:

- There's a bit of a learning curve, especially for beginners or those not used to newsletters. The resource section is frequently updated and tutorials added so its gotten a little bit better. - While there's a very generous free plan (Called Launch), the leap in price to the next level can give some sticker shock. There's not much you can do on the basic plan beside grow your list so plan to monetize externally.

The platform just feels more modern and streamlined. I also like the added features like Boosts.

Not for me.

Not upto the mark. Because, many a features are not working for me like there are not email templates and the software is particularly newsletter writing.

I liked boosts and getting affiliates in form of ADs. even at such a less number of subscriber base i was getting ads to do.

Cons:

Automation. NO proper guidance to setup automations.
