Feel like we finally caught up to 2025.

We’re pushing out polished, interactive assets in half the time we used to. Customers get the product better. Especially for items with texture or shape that just doesn’t come across in a flat image. Overall it’s been a smooth experience for us. Easy to adopt and scale. Makes our marketing look good.

Pros:

The speed. We can take a single 3D model and turn it into everything. Packshots, interactive viewers, lifestyle shots, even AR. It just works. And the fact that it plugs right into our existing Cloudinary setup made life a lot easier.

Cons:

Some of the more advanced stuff like tweaking lighting or making things spin just right does take a bit of dev knowledge. Not a huge deal, but not exactly plug-and-play if you want total control. The out-of-the-box templates are solid, though.

Empowers even small teams to use 3D

We don’t have a product photographer or a big production budget, but now our site looks like it was built by a team of pros. Our customers can rotate, zoom in, see how our stuff will look in their homes. That’s really important for them because of the nature of the purchase involved.

Pros:

We’re a pretty small team. We don’t have an in-house 3D designer or a creative agency. So Cloudinary 3D really lets us punch above our weight. I uploaded one model of our product and suddenly we had lifestyle images, interactive views, even an AR preview.

Cons:

It took a minute to figure out how the templates worked. I wouldn’t say it’s hard, but if you’ve never worked with 3D stuff before, expect small learning curve. Once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing :-)
