About GanttPRO

GanttPRO is a cloud-based project management solution for small to midsize companies, as well as individual users. The software offers Gantt charts, scheduling, progress tracking and more.

GanttPRO enables managers to schedule projects using a visual interface. Users can automatically reschedule multiple project tasks simultaneously with GanttPro's drag-and-drop functionality. Users can also create new tasks, assign them to team members, track progress, set task dependencies and milestones and map critical paths.

Anyone from a project team can leave comments on tasks, attach files to tasks and get real-time notifications about actions other team members are taking. Project information can be exported in PDF, PNG, XLSX and XML format. GanttPRO also allows users to import charts from software like Microsoft Project and Excel.

Support is offered over the phone, via email and through online chat. Annual and monthly pricing plans are available.

Pros:

GanttPro provides a well-considered feature set that feels balanced rather than overwhelming. The range of functions is neither too limited nor excessively complex, which makes the software suitable for everyday professional use. Getting started is straightforward, yet the tool still offers enough depth to remain interesting and useful over time, especially for structured project work. The user interface is clean and well organized. As a working platform, it supports efficient workflows because the layout is clear and the most important functions are easy to access. During our evaluation, we also had contact with the support team and were positively surprised by their responsiveness. Our inquiry about whether Stiftung Juventus-Schulen could be included in the GanttPro discount program was answered quickly and in a helpful manner. Another advantage is the ability to operate the software reliably using the keyboard, which is an important aspect for professional work environments.

Cons:

Overall, the pricing is reasonable, although a company-wide license model would be preferable to individual user licenses.

GanttPRO is easier to use and still offers a lot of, but not too many functionaly.

Effective visual project planning for complex projects

My overall experience has been very positive. GanttPRO made it much easier to organize and visualize overlapping projects, and the simplicity of the interface helped reduce the learning curve for my team. It strikes a great balance between functionality and usability, making it an excellent choice for small to mid-sized teams managing multiple projects.

I liked how intuitive the interface is. Setting up timelines, dependencies, and task assignments was straightforward, even for complex projects. The visual layout makes it easy to understand project progress at a glance, and collaboration features help keep everyone aligned without extra effort.

Cons:

Nothing, it's working well for me. It's taken me some time to find all the functionality I need and figure out how to use it but as of now it's all there

A nice entry level tool for simple projects

Pros:

Easy user interface and most basic features are available for project management of simple company projects. There is no need of advanced project management knowledge to start using the tool.

Cons:

It is not an advanced tool like MS Project so do not expect to track multiple projects and shared resources or any other advanced features to track the project. Think of it as the entry level tool you can use for simple tasks in the company.

I really appreciate GanttPro; I was looking for a tool to manage my professional thesis project. I wanted a tool that would allow me to manage my project over 18 months, something simple and user-friendly. I didn't want to waste time with a complicated tool, but at the same time, I wanted a solution that would include all the essential project management tools. I really enjoyed my trial, which is why I decided to purchase a paid license, which is available thanks to the student discount. I wasn't sure if I was eligible for the discount as a French student, so I asked customer support service and they replied very quickly with good news. Thank you, GanttPro!

Cons:

Not much to report, I did fumble around a few times trying to modify dates and dependencies, but I think it's something I'll get used to. Overall, the tool is very easy and pleasant to use.

Pros:

GanttPRO gives us all the necessary tools to plan our school activites on many levels. With the educational/nonprofit discount we were given it represents an outstanding value for money. It is very important for us to be able to coordinate events, milestones and deliverables across projects/schools. The Portfolio view provides a nice way to visually align. Reflecting task status is easy and visual. That helps to keep status information up to date and to anticipate problems before the become serious. Since we have people working on many projects simultaneously, the Workload view helps us to avoid overloading and expectations that can not be met. Overall we like GanttPRO for its ease of use and just the right functionalities that are important for us.

Cons:

The lack of checklists associated with each task. We would also need to define sequences of tasks (processes) as templats with checklists for each task. May be integration of the checklists with tasks in Google.

Reasons for switching to GanttPRO

It became too expensive, because the project aggregation (Portfolio view) features moved to a hight pricing tier.

GANTTPRO is the best option

It's a good alternative for managing projects, with excellent options. It gives me a lot of confidence and makes the changes I need to make much easier.

Pros:

What I value most about GanttPRO is how practical it is. It offers the project management features you really need, without overwhelming you. The ease of customizing and configuring tasks made the planning process very smooth. In addition, the option to export the Gantt chart as an image was extremely useful, as I was able to configure all the fields I needed. The options for team collaboration are very useful, and the price is in line with the value the platform provides.

Cons:

At first, the number of options can be confusing, but once you become familiar with the option menus, everything becomes easier.

Easy to use and affordable option

I like that this is an affordable alternative to MS Projects. It really enables our non-profit organization to run our projects smoothly without having to pay astronomical fees associated with MS Projects.

Cons:

We are based in the UK which have different calendar formats so it would be good to see an option to change styles in the calendar format and to be able to pay in GBP.

GanttPro helps with workload and schedule planning across multiple projects

Good. It has features that other project management tools don't have - the workload and multi-project features in particular.

The Portfolio and workload features are the most useful for my team. We have multiple projects and these help us plan workload and deadlines months ahead.

Cons:

It doesn't have an app for my Mac. I don't find it that intuitive to use to begin with, e.g., finding and filtering current tasks by start date, or deadline, or priority is not that easy.

Gantt Creating Experience

Overall, GanttPRO is a great website for quick Gantt creations and to be able to keep track of dasks that need to be finished.

How comprehensable the software is and how easy it is to understand and learn how to use it compared to other Gantt softwares/websites

Cons:

How overwhelming all the tasks become when having all of them opened. Its also quite annoying to move tasks to subtasks as its not possible to do and having to copy and paste tasks individually can be very time consuming.

Pros:

Great tool for project management. The ease of set-up makes starting a project a breeze. I am exciting to use the project duplication feature soon.

Cons:

Getting use to the visual layout took a bit of learning. There are also a lot more features than currently suit our needs.
